@@cannedgoose3259 So, I'm going to choose to respond to this comment, but it goes for all of the comments mirroring this type of mindset: You know, I find that the people who shit on the game the most are people with 100s, if not 1000s of hours in the game. I've played WT in the past (Admittedly nowhere near 42 DAYS worth of time) and not once have I been tempted to spend a dime. For you, specifically, you have 1,008 hours in a Free game. Most gamers also go by a $ per hour ratio when talking about if a game is worth it to purchase. "Can I get 60 hours of fun out of a $60 game?" is such a common, admittedly bullshit mindset, but it is a common one. My question to you, after 1,008 hours in the game - How much money have you spent inside of it? For most games, I personally look on if I have a good time playing it. If a game is $70 and I get 20 hours of fun out of it, I feel like I win. I feel this way because EVERYTHING else in my life is expensive (Restaraunts, going to movies, hell I play Magic the Gathering and collect Pokemon cards... IYKYK) so, for a game that's given me 1000 hours, I feel like if I spent.. I don't know - $800 in it, I'd still feel like I got a SHITTON of value out of it. Unless of course, I wasn't having fun playing it. Then it really doesn't matter because that's on me for spending time doing something I hate. For you, your case may be that the game changed and got increasingly worse over time which is most definitely a fair critique. I was a HUGE fan of World of Warcraft (Still am, but admittedly not as much as back in the classic days) but I STILL enjoy my time in the game, think back to great raids and fond memories. I don't know what's worse. Spending 42 days worth of time in a game I hate, or spending 42 days worth of time in a game I loved but watching it change over time to something I hate. Either way, I feel like you got an absolute SHIT TON of time out of the game (Hopefully fun times) and now you spend your days malding over its current state. I don't get this side of the internet, I really don't. I also don't want you to think me saying "Malding" is insulting, I just don't know of a word to use that doesn't sound insulting. (Crying, whining, salty - They are all terrible lol - Just trying to have a conversation) WarThunder is a good game. You wouldn't have spent over 1,000 hours in it if it wasn't. You may not like it now and that's fair. But like, who cares at the end of the day? It's a sponsored segment of a video that you didn't have to even engage with. If you don't like the game anymore after 1,000 hours - Move on lol Play the literal MILLIONS of other games out there and try to enjoy it.
@@cannedgoose3259 War Thunder is a good game, it's the game i always come back and i fell that, like project l33t, go look at the peak players online, a game that suck ball would not have 75k avg players on Steam (not counting Gaijin Launcher). Is Gaijin greedy, hell yeah, do this make WT a bad game ? Hell no.
I pitched an extraction looter shooter game to the Games Fund, we had a really amazing deck and had thought through a lot of the details. They put us through two rounds of meetings, and asked for all our decks and detailed financial information. Then sent us a rejection letter saying they already have a project in the extraction looter shooter genre that they're investing in. I guess Project L33T was that one. Seems like they just farmed us for all our ideas and detailed information. I was told about the Sergei Titov connection later by some people in the game dev world and it all makes sense now.
Well they missed labelling it as an FPS or extraction shooter on steam so who the hell is going to find it when searching? It literally says GENRE: Action, Indie, Massively Multiplayer, RPG, Simulation, Early Access...... like how is it MMO or RPG right now? Literally missing what I would assume is the target audience.
everyone on my server was under the impression the game would be free cause content creators or the devs themselves said it would launch f2p apparently (not certain) & if thats the case & they decided to charge on release with a (season pass page on a early access title THATS NOT FREE ANYMORE already in dev is a bit of a red flag to me) goes to show where their headset for the creative side of the game is at so early in the process lol
Lol "it's not the worst game i've covered on this channel" well thats a pretty low fuckin bar mr. fry! All jokes aside, always appreciate the heads up when this team is involved because it saves me a return and these devs continue to lower the bar. Cheers and thanks for the laugh!
Followed your channel for some time and very often appreciated your feedback and no BS take on games. Unfortunately, I think you've got it totally wrong here and everyone has jumped on this bandwagon and basically killed what could've been a great game. I got free access via the pre alpha test on steam. I played for about 20 hours over 2 days. The gameplay loop was actually fun and showed a lot of promise for the people who preferred a less hardcore version of tarkov etc. Sure it's still a game in early access, but everyone just shitted on this game without giving it a chance and now it looks doomed. I bought Grayzone Warfare and that game looks amazing. I didn't suffer with performance issues on GZW, but honestly, that game was boring, the content wasn't there and the gameplay loop lacked. You could say GZW was the biggest fail ever. Look at how many people bought the game and look at how many now play. Everyone puts GZW on this pedestal because it "shows promise". How many of those 900k sold copies will translate into an active player base. I doubt many when and if the game ever even eventuates into something good. Sure Sergey Titov is involved blah blah blah. do you realise that The War Z for the community that remained, was one of the best games ever and eventually died due to the lack of anti-cheat measures by the dev team, but it was an awesome game for years (yes, not without many issues), but what's important here? We play games for fun...Sergey has made some great games from that perspective. Project l33t with more content, more players and more or larger maps would be epic, but I'm afraid we'll never see it because everyone just looked at this game through a one dimensional lense IE: looking at his failures. GZW was a far bigger scam than anything he has done. What I understand your scepticism with him and his games, but give them a fair go and assess them on their individual merits.
Why not just finish a game lol, enough people were interested in some of his games they could’ve been rich . Yet he rather put all his energy in scams ?
Ya, because their literally is no passion weaved into the games being made anymore now days. Its horribly sad, but people like Big Fry, And the game like Valheim, & games like Balders Gate 3 are bringin it back, & thats barely anything compared to whats still out there, there are so many more small studio gems being made or out right now.
I don't even know if I should cry because Sergey Titov is still up and running and somehow successfully people fall for it despite him being the probably most known figure for scams, or laugh about the fact that even tho they scam they actually learn game development and constantly improve to make them look nice and have a somewhat good loop to lure people in. But I for sure can't deny that they put more effort into products for taking peoples money and running off with it than some "devs" put into their supposedly heart filled lifetime projects.
its crazy, 185 players meaning they made minimum of 5,5k from that apart from all the fees etc. Thats a crazy amount of money and i know damn well they at most spent max 500 on the game.
The future is single player/co-op. Unless you are a company making the next battlefield, call of duty, CS, etc. You’re more than likely never going to make headspace in your genre.
I don’t necessarily agree, they just don’t need to release in early access with nothing unique . Finish the game and let it stand out in at least one way
@@nofox777 Yeah... Because that works so well with people having finite time on their hand but multiple games releasing each day, right? There's way too many companies (and especially newcomers) trying their way into the MP only market, if 99% of them would start with singleplayer they could at least make a name for themselves, possibly even add in a multiplayer mode into the game as well like it was used to be done and which allows for insight of the actual interest. I don't even want to know just how many actual dead games there are at this point because seemingly everyone wants to make an MP game - we usually just hear of the better ideas or the worst ideas, pretty much never the middleground.
@@Unknown_Genius I've never got this argument. ok let's say people are " making too many games " what is your solution? that we stop making games?? if we continue to " make " how do we decipher who gets to make games and who doesn't at that point?? what allowed and what not allowed ?? it's a genuine question btw
@@tomiasmeadows7171 You don't control it. But you missed the entire point: You've got a ton of games dying specifically because everyone thinks they should make a multiplayer game, which in turn makes it true that singleplayer/coop is the future to even have the chance to gain a proper foothold in the industry.
He talked recently about being accused of only negativity despite doing alot of positive reviews. But he doesnt fully realize alot of us love his negative reviews, find them entertaining and cathartic. Fuck the haters,
I've had people reply to me for saying I have no faith in this game just because it had "L33T" in the name and of course it turned out I was fucking right
The Angry Video Game Nerd commercial for Big Rigs... ...a BigFry commercial for, well, not this game, it just works *, but some of the really godawful FPS's need a BigFry commercial. * - CAUTION: with any Sergei Titov game, "it just works" somewhat less well than Fallout 76 on launch.
@@Unknown_GeniusGame has 48 reviews on Steam and sits at "mixed". It's probably safe to say that people absolutely didn't fall for it this time around.
@@Lenariet at least not yet, wouldn't be the first time people call it out and a few weeks/months down the line it actually made sales - so I'd not bet on current numbers to say they failed this time - they're usually pretty smart by acting like they do care for a few months and afterwards when people bit they'll "sell it to someone else" and make it free 2 play to get another influx and possible cash from mtx.
Why would anyone pay more than $10 for this piece of shit?! It's insulting for these guys to ask $30 or $40 especially when there are other titles out there like Hunt Showdown and GZW that do it better for the same price.
It's Sergey Titov, this is the kind of shit he does. I remember a video on Wild West World or whatever it was called, dude makes his money and then bails, he's a well known scammer for a reason.
@hackeronin0nce421 Nah. It gets too much hate. It's a really good game, especially for free. It has its flaws, but the devs woke up after the last review bombing. It's got much better. And I play this game for about 8 years? Maybe more.
@@Octanitrocubane-enjoyer I play exclusively Ground RB and sometimes sim. I want to get into planes, but everyone sweats their asses off in there, so it's hard to start. There are definitely issues with some rounds doing barely any damage and some balancing problems, but overall, it's a great game. It's still a grind tho, I ran out of premium lately and it's definitely noticeable. Much better then it used to be but still bad.
That gas station at the 12:40 mark is the exact one from another game that I saw Landmark playing. It must be an asset you can buy. Edit: After looking back, even the cars in front of the gas station are in the exact same spot.
Developers need to stop already with these never ending survival/tactical/extraction shooters where they are trying to be the next big thing, it's simply not going to happen.. The market is already filled with half baked/mediocre games from these genres.... Stop being lazy and make a different game..
Hey man, I always respected and loved your content, giving people warnings about potential and proven scams, but how come you, and ESPECIALLY YOU, are accepting a sponsor from War Thunder? Like yes, I fully understand that sponsored videos is probably how you make a good part of your living if not the whole of it, especially knowing that your channel is not exactly family friendly or aligned with the youtube algorythms, and I think nobody got a problem with any of it, but why War Thunder? The game that is known for being the most pay to win piece of crap ever created, that nearly became pay to play to some degree, with the dev team literally wiping their asses with their player's opinions and known for shady and destructive moves, like the steam release of Enlisted, amongst others... Like COME ON man, it doesn't feel right coming from you... It just feels like somebody telling you not to drink before getting absolutely trashed and finishing head first in a pond...
Here’s a terrible steam game… So anyways, here is today’s sponsors a terrible game developer who’s milked the game with microtransactions and has abandoned games.
At least war thunder doesn’t charge $30 up front to play. It ain’t great and it’s got a lot of monetization, but for a free game you could certainly do a lot worse- (cough, cough, Mobile Strike, cough cough.). Plus sponsorships pays the bills.
@@GG-cg1dx dude i was addicted to WT, and i can tell you of all people that all of the meta shit is behind a paywall. Thats scam status to me. As much as i dont like games like Fortnite they have a much less scummy business model selling cosmetics that offer zero advantage over other stuff.
Ready or Not 1.0 was great, the fuck kind of revisionist history is that lol Ground Branch was dope before the price hike when it was cheaper. Do you see me talk about it anymore? Fuck outta here
@@BigfryTV 1.0 was not great, no one has ever said that, the AI was at its lowest point and everyone knows it, thats when the community became pessimistic, seperate milestones from quality.
I went with Deadside a long time ago (19.95 and had a sale at time for like 20% off making it like 14 I think) not haveing the money nor skills for EFT, cause honestly, I'm not a good hardcore player, more casual with little time to play long rounds. What do you think about Deadside, devs seem to be slow but dedicated? Wish the DS devs would buy these guys maps, lol
I had acces for like 2 months but they didnt let me in because "GPU". my GPU that can play EFT fine at over 60 fps and etc. That's how you kick yourself in the balls big time, biiiig fail.
Honestly, just from the looks seems better than scum in it's current state of ea and scum devs (or better Jagex) charge 40 for that bugfest! Even up to 70-80 if you want some dlc. Yeah yeah I know scum's not an exfil shooter but still, I'd rather throw 30 at this guys than 40+ at Jagex. Speaking off, I wonder if you'll review scum again when it leaves early access. Would like to hear your honest opinion.
I hate crybaby "you need to buy it so that it's good!" people. seriously... have none of them learned from the many other early access games that sucked and didn't deliver??? DON'T PAY FOR EARLY ACCESS!
I am excited for GZW to be progressing in the way that it is. I am sure I will still not be able to enjoy the game on my garbage rig but that is life. Hopefully "optimization" will come soon but I am sure that will not apply for my Lenovo Laptop. I really enjoy playing the game, up until I get in to an engagement and then the game goes down to 3 FPS and I am dead. I am looking forward to seeing what they are gonna bring in.
in fairness the AESHETIC of l33t IS WAY MORE BETTER than arena breakout lmaoo... arena breakout is in middle america with people just shooting each other in alabama or some shixt... like what is it a new civil war? lmfao atleast with the russia setting it typically has this post apoc visuals for extractions seems like the way to go... as much as i LOVE the quality of life stuff ARENA is doing... l33t won to me far as map design and potential world building they could do so with that... regardless l33t is garbage and runs like shit on new hardware for some... its probably a scam but all i'm saying is subjectively i am not a fan at all of the "setting" of arena. i LOVE the overgrown foliage look l33t has... we need a "last of us" looking extraction shooter for sure.. would it not make the most sense narratively for an extraction shooter to be post apoc or war times at the very least.. give us a reason we're scavenging junk & weapons endlessly haha
1 month after this video posted Project L33t is now only 3 players playing the game peak at 18 Players.... i guess the game will be abandoned soon enough.
I played the closed beta for like 2 rounds. It barely ran over 40 fps and still looked mediocre at best (i got a pretty good pc) I basically needed dlss to get over 60fps and that AI stuff has its own artefacts. PvE felt boring, gunplay was super simple and the gameplay just felt ... uninspired It felt like someone looked up the definition of what an extraction shooter is and just did exactly what was written down
I have watched you for a long time and seeing you and scammer grow kinda amazing, the game looks decent and might be good with enough update but then again history will probably repeat itself. I wish a game like this are free, I would rather lose my time than lost my money lol
>War Thunder get ready to grind and occasionally lose your sanity.< Jokes aside it's fun when you yeh get through the grind. Aside from that who would have thought that L33t would end up like this lul
I think the discrepancy shown in the gameplay is why this game has earned its possible reputation as what I like to call “So Clearly A Mess!” of all things in my opinion.
This game aim is trash I was trying to hs an npc and the game wouldn't let me because the aim would get stuck in one pixel? And then jump to like 3 to 5 pixels idk how you call this but i had to get closer to get the freaking shot
i played in hte playtest of this and then laughed when i saw the price they were looking, that was before i realised sergei titov was involved (being a sucker that bought the war Z back ages ago).... yea, it deserves to die
I rarely wish bad things for anyone - but one of the top contenders for my list is definetly Sergei Titov. That Mofo needs to loose an arm or two so we can start regaining some trust in the developer community again.
I DL it, never tried it. It just looked very old, like a ue3 game. Edit - i didn't buy it. I dl the demo they had and didn't play it for free. No way i pay for it.
