I can't speak for the other Zombies games on Roblox, but I assume they're business model is focused entirely on copying WaW since they are standalone games. Recoil Zombies was made entirely at the request of the community from Recoil. I not really making maps in any particular order, just maps that are most universally enjoyed, which not surprisingly is mostly WaW and BO1 maps.

Same, my brother got an Xbox 360 on his birthday and we would play cod bo2 zombies alot with 3 players In the present day, the Xbox 360 is broken and we can't play the cod zombies, honestly I really enjoy these rip offs on roblox

I agree that PL needs original maps, but honestly I love the thing it does with Pack-a-Punched weapons - _giving each and every one a unique effect, from increased move speed after a kill to increased penetration while stationary to giving the Ray Gun an overpowered splash effect upgrade._ *That* is how you add on to zombies.
@@epickpotato25 your completly wrong BO3 adds a basic stat boost and ig you choose to double pack will give you a few different abilities that are exactly the same (between all guns) with some being better than others in the end you only spinning for turned, fireworks, or MAYBE blastfurnace. Lazarus PAP is 100% unique to all guns this is a gross comparison.
PL does such an unusually good job of replicating the feel of the old games that I honestly rather play it than the newer COD zombies games. The gameplay is simple yet solid.
I honestly miss starbattle's games a lot, sure they were just roblox remakes but they just gave this feeling that was so unique, I wish someday he'd finally fix them
Starbattle was a really cool creator back then IMO. Even if the games lacked originality they were still really impressive for roblox. Also him putting his name on all of his games was a pretty chad move as well; we all remember his name pretty well lol.

COD WaW ripoffs has it's benefits. Wanted to play WaW Zombies coop, no one's online. In Project Lazarus, I can play with full lobbies. It's actually fun.
I agree 100%. Plus my PS3 broke so I can't play cod zombies online for free anymore. I'd have to use my xbox and Im not going to pay for xbox live just to play cod zombies. I think its worth playing because of its accessability but if you have the resources you should definitely pick the converse.
I went into the game *looking* for a CoD Zombies rip-off cause I can't be bothered to buy the new ones. Although it's not unique, it makes up for it's simplicity and surprisingly optimized gameplay. but I really do wish it had more variety when it comes to the enemies. It's so easy to kill them that you could literally go through a whole game with 98% headshots.
Its really sad how most Roblox game devs don't improve or create new twists. Usually most people play different Roblox zombies games only because the devs usually don't understand how to make certain aspects of a game fun.

Lazarus is awesome. I really love it. It feels like a cod zombies game. My favorite part is the pap bonuses for each weapon. Hell, they even made unique jingles for existing perks
Reason 2 die remastered was a very fun game last I played. What I hate about reason 2 die though is how blatantly greedy the owner is. I don’t remember how long ago remastered released, but dear god, it seems like he’s worse than your average banker. Game released, it’s entirely designed from the ground up around grinding. What’s that you don’t want to grind? Here’s a “limited edition” chance to buy this gun, which I will “forget” about removing from the store for years. Those game passes hadn’t disappeared almost 2 years ago last I checked.
I dont wanna get all angry and stuff by going into detail but my god, the event weapons used to be funny gimmicks now but I feel like they've become stale. Like, "you spent all this time grinding to get a really useless weapon? How funny and ironic! 🤪🤪" Either way I stopped playing R2DA because everybody was toxic. and more toxic than the original r2d. so thats an achievement. Also prestige was what really made me lose faith. I might make a video about it though because I feel like theres a LOT More to talk about

The whole it's made for people who don't know the source material thing is so true, one day I met someone that is on my friend list and I talked about CW zombies and stuff I was surprised that he didn't know it's based on cod zombies. Also, the new map is actually a remake of the original map from Call of Robloxia which has the lab section from Five which also made it into the remake
Starbattle was my literal hero. When the servers were still alive and I didn't have the money for WAW or BO1, I bashed Der Riese out so much. I vividly remember getting the Ray Gun and Wunderwaffe within the first 2 spins and feeling like a God. I also remember sitting on the catwalk with like 6 of us all just letting loose on zombies and one of my friends would need to PAP. They would send me down to help them mid-round because I could manoeuvre well. Damn, I miss that game. Edit: Call of Robloxia (or at least the 'FIVE' section) was SO buggy. Zombies would always get stuck, guns would never work. And the lift would never come up either. We were always stuck on the top floor. But that never stopped my brother and I. We'd always hunt for glitches to fall under the map and get to the lower floors. And when we couldn't, just absorbing the nostalgic and honestly, quite comforting top floor. Even when the zombies couldn't be killed.
The moment I joined the project Lazarus, I knew that it was a rip off of CoD Zombies. Although the game is really fun to play. It's been awhile since I last played CoD Zombies so I played it a lot of times.
It's basically free cod zombies, and everyone's right about it being such a simple game, and it can run in low end pc's (many friends of mine have potato's lol). I would say this game is not too bad, it needs more maps, more features, traps, perks? And maybe even a loadout system which the developer is working on.
I just play Laz because I can turn my brain off mid-game and go “machine gun goes brrrrrr-“. It’s also really buttery smooth, and I love the effects on the zombies when they get shot.
Gotta say, my 11 year old self wasn't a fan of COD Zombies. I was complete dogshit at it so I never bothered to play it, I'd only come on every now and then to play with some friends that would beg me to play with them on Black Ops II zombies. Recently I've tried to get better at zombies by playing some knock off games on Roblox. Out of all the others, I've gotta say I really found Michael's Zombies to be better than all the other zombie games. The gameplay actually remains faithful to COD, even the art style with it's lighting and such, great map detail. It honest to god FEELS like you're playing good old fashioned zombies. From what I see the game is pretty underrated, it is barely is able to hit 1k players which is strange considering that Zombie Uprising is able to maintain 7k players or more everyday, and that Roblox game is just completely LAZY, it's not exactly a challenge and the gameplay is just so bare bones compared to Michael's Zombies. I hope you can give that game some more recognition so that the devs can keep working on it, I'd really love to see that game improve even more!
yea i agree after playing zombie uprising for about 50 hours in total i can say its gameplay is ass and boring af and it feels like a grinding for guns and upgrades simulator project lazarus is far better because it doesnt rely on grinding unlike zombie uprising
also legit the way the dev of zombie uprising updates the game is kinda dumb as as shit since the only thing they do is add more guns and random bs to grind for
well recoil is actually pretty high quality, like really high quality for a roblox game, it also has a few differences but generally with that skill they should do something original, the whole game is a shameless copy of CoD
I'd say the hype behind Project Lazarus is that it's kind of a successor to Call of Robloxia--which for platform old heads such as myself is a nice throwback in a way to "the good old days." it's the same creator, same premise--but its status as a WAW ripoff is still something of note Although there's not really a good way to do a good zombies game without doing elements you'd find in like, L4D2 to COD Zombies, so--I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt lol
I get your point and I respect it but resurrection and mmc are different games from the black ops games. They have different maps and the only thing copied is the base to have a map. Even Lazarus and recoil and different in their own way. Not hating I think your opinions justified to an extent
I'm on the MMC Zombies Project team and there's a running joke between us and Logitech about how long it takes us to update our games and how similar they are. We added a funny COVID gun so that's an L for Logitech.
currently working on my own bo zombies inspired game on roblox rn I'm getting help from a friend to code things, but the plan is to make our own original game sure, things like the concept of wave based zombies and wall weapons, mystery box ect are completely taken from black ops, I want to make all the maps my own, and maybe even add in my own storyline, Easter eggs ect. I love alot of the roblox games, but as you said, they just get so boring and repetitive, hopefully my game can be something more original, I always look at these roblox clones and wish they would add their own maps and stuff, I feel like there's so much potential there thats going unused
If you wanna have the true Roblox bootleg C.O.D W.A.W Zombies experience, go ahead and wait check out Michael's Zombies. There are currently three maps at the time I'm typing this, and they are Der Reise, Lighthouse, and The Undead Nocturn. On The Undead Nocturn, on waves four, fourteen and so on (I think it's every ten waves, I dunno.), a PanzerSoldat (Refered to as the Michael Panzer[M.P] in the game.) will spawn. The M.P has a grappling arm on it's left and a regular arm on it's right. Once in range of the M.P, it will use it's grappling arm to 'reel' you in to it and it will hit you with it's normal arm, dealing a significant amount of damage, and maybe sometimes even one-shotting the player. You are able to obtain the badge "Let go of me!" by shooting the M.P's grappling arm when you are being reeled in by the M.P. On the map Der Reise, you can also unlock the easter egg song "Beaury Of Annihilation" by going around the map and pressing 'F' on jars filed with green liquid. The developers cannot add the brain and and brain stem, because of Roblox's "terms and service" bullshit. On the Lighthouse map, you will need ten thousand points to escape and will then be awarded the badge "Back On Track". You will need the Raygun as well, but I shall not get too much into detail and let you play the game yourself. And, just in case you were wondering, yes, there are Soul Boxes, making their debut in mid-twenty-twenty-one or somewhere along that line. There is also the Mule Kick easter egg and there is even a secret Mario Map which is only inlockable in private servers. Plus, there is a badge called "Return", and to obtain it, you must click/tap on the red button next to the Teleporter. This only works on public servers, though, and if you use private servers you will be greeted with the new Main Menu and will be unable to enter the Backrooms. You will then be transported into the Backrooms, and will have to escape from Michael himself, a gigantic cat. In order to escape, one will need to find a black-and-white swirly portal, but it depends on WHERE the portal is, in which in this case it is very reliant on RNG. I think you missed some key points about Project Lazurus. - First off Lazurus is more based off of Black Ops then World at War hints why there's almost no WWII guns in there. -Second for people with really bad PC's or people who can't afford the actual game it gives those people a chance to experience the game. -Third when compared to the base game in a lot of the Roblox COD Zombies clones you can actually run around with your own custom avatar which is a really nice touch and helps immerse the player into the game. -Fourth Project Lazurus while simular is a bit different from the other COD zombie clones as each pack a punch weapon has a different stack when you pack a punch them. (For example if you pack your starter pistol it does decent damage but it's main selling point is it can slow down zombies which can be used as a great get out of jail free card though if your not careful you could accidently hit yourself and inflict that very effect on yourself) -Lastly they are technically 5 perks in the game yet you can only equip 4 so there's a bit of thinking the player has to do on what perk they can't have. Overall I think you miss out on a lot of key points heck one of the real biggest issues a lot of these COD zombies clones have is wall guns are extremally overpowered when compared to box guns simply because once you get a economy of points it's just easier to have a gun which you can reliably refill for only 4500 points. (In particular for Project Lazurus the meta combo is the packed default pistol for the slowdown and the packed ranger is byfar one of the most effective and efficient loadouts in the game which I feel like either wall guns could use a little nerf to there ammo or box guns should be buffed to have there ammo doubled) (Also in MMC if you pack the Mosin it does great damage, pierces through zombies and only cost 500 to refil when pack a punched which is beond broken)
the only think that i could think of about these ripoffs are meant for potato pc users so they can play and feel the game if their pc can't take a toll from the original games.
Little late but the reason why all these games are popular is that the new generations don’t get too experience the GOOD games. They can only get free stuff on ROBLOX. Then they interpret this as the BEST game due too not knowing the really good games and instead of the good childhood games some of us grew up with they got the stuff is off brand in comparison. It’s kind like the “that’s the guy from fortnite trend” as well. Instead of saying “Project Lazarus is a remake of cod that isn’t that great and might as well just be a copy and paste” they will say “Cod is a remake of Project Lazarus that isn’t that great and might as well be a copy and paste.” Children are not smart sometimes.

This is a major issue on roblox, people instead of making a original zombie game, they're remaking CoD Zombies all the time, or making another toxic fighting game where you just kill everyone for no reason with random weapons

Also, since I saw that you made clips about Vampire Hunters, Before The Dawn and whatever, I'd love to see a clip about Zombie Tower and its history. I managed to find some of the game's names that I couldn't remember that were also made by Nooooooo, one of them being Zombie Town, which I fondly remember both farming the hell out of and having a blast playing.

Resurrection is dead despite being the most fun and original out of all of the zombie games, probably because of the lack of updates, really bummed about that because it had alot of content

In survive and kill the killers in area 51 there is a very good gamemode called endless survival, i even spent 94 hours getting to round 252 and did not get much bored, i think it is the best copy of COD zombies
that surprised me a little bit cuz i dont rlly know anything abt call of duty or other paid games but ohh how project lazarus is so satisfying for me and i can play so well i could even improve my aim and skills playing this game forgetting the fact that its very repetitive and i dont rlly gain on it

So basically, if you want a good WaW zombies ripoff (or, Black Ops 1 zombies? dunno.): Go play Micheal's zombies. It has a lot of detail and its a pretty fun game.
You have to check out a new game in the making called dead calling, they are making five as one of their maps, they are also making their guns and renders from scratch as well as multiple wonder weapons, promoted BY MMC ZOMBIES PROJECT.
Honestly I think Micheal Zombies is probably the best out of the "Call of duty zombies" idea on Roblox legit does alot while taking the regular formula but making they're own plot of Easter eggs & story.
I'd hardly say that cod zombies evolved, it just changed. It's not even the same genre anymore, having switched from gritty realism to sci-fi fantasy. That change isn't inherently good or bad, but modern zombies is a completely different game from old zombies, only retaining the most absolute basic elements present in any survival-horde-shooter.
Ik this video is a year old but here's why I play this. I play this (on my xbox) and I can't buy live all the time I bought a xbox one used when the series x came out for 200 and got it cleaned for 80 bucks and play this so I can play zombies with my friends
what gets me coming back to lazarus over anything else is because not only is it simple, but i love how the PaP works Edit: another reason is that its meant to be a remake of the call of robloxia game, and that its a homage to og cod zombies
i really wish recoil zombies added the bo3 map or some shit that was my fav, and the game has it flaws and all but i genuinly like it, i have played lazarus MMC, but none of them hits harder than recoil, do wish they added more features and all. i got a fairly decent- high running pc and it can handle it, love the review btw
I agree with you, Project Lazarus is overrated. But lots of roblox knock-offs of COD Zombies actually add something. Recoil Zombies adds a class system with skill points, along with a unique Pack-a-Punch system. Tranzit remastered fixes some problems with one of the most hated maps in CoD zombies and adds things like original perks and more wonder weapons. Last to Survive is an original map with a level system that gives you mini-perks depending on how high your level was. Michaels Zombies has 2 original maps (1 if you dont count The Undead Noctrun) Resurrection, while it sucks now, used to be amazing. It has multiple original custom maps and one of its maps had a whole Easter Egg that awarded you with a badge, and a camo for every weapon. There are lots of games that are CoD zombies knock-offs but also make themselves original and sometimes even better than the source material.
Michael's Zombies. In my opinion the best WAW Black Ops zombies rip-off I have seen. It even has its own maps with really cool objectives like blocking of dams and shooting a trap with a raygun to power a lighthouse.
the best copy out of all of them that you haven't mentioned in this video is micheal's zombies imo it's animations are very good, and it's got a much better ambience to it, including more weapons, better zombies, and more detailed maps this one is definately worth a try, trust me with that it is also much more similiar to cod: zombies

I only play these because my friend doesn’t have COD and we like to play zombies together (even if it isn’t real zombies) We even say “I found a good cod zombie rip-off” when we find them lol.
