Love the lab-grade scale! L'Oréal telescopic lift mascara is my new ride or die. I'm not oily (normal), so I don't get why it took me 40 years trying every mascara under the sun, including waterproof, to find a non-tubing mascara that doesn't leave me with raccoon eyes. Which is a guarantee they'll discontinue it 😂

I love stick eyeshadow products like the sigma one you just finished up. I have a few from elf in different metallic shades that I can whack on in the morning before work, blend the edges slightly with my finger, and then just go straight to mascara if I'm in a hurry. Add concealer as needed, a sheeny cream blush stick, powder on the T zone and some kind of pinky- or peachy-nude moisturising lip situation is enough to make me look like a living human - enough for work, anyway!

I would love to join in with panning the Lys foundation, but it is so beastly hot here that the Lys would choke my skin. I don't like it at all, it's one of those dimethicone packed 4 ways into the foundation. There is nothing in it that I consider worthy of the word "serum." It doesn't really set down, it makes my face shiny from the get-go, emphasizes texture and looks worse and worse throughout the day. Using powder can take down the shine, but when my oils break through the whole mess gets thick like cake frosting and my eyeglasses or sunglasses scrape it off which I must then dig out around the lenses. While I'm having a mini-rant on the Lys, I also have the Chanel Sublimage serum foundation, which is essentially a similar dimethicone formula with the addition of whatever flower water they charge $100 for. These foundations are expensive, so I need to get use out of them. After I bought the Lys, I realized I cannot get influenced on YT over foundations, because I invariably buy something that looks great on the video but horrible on me.

I can’t use that Revlon lip oil. If I use it for a whole day with nothing else, my lips will start to peel and crack by the end of the day.

The only time I ever wear bronzer is when I am on a video meeting cos the lights in my office washes me out completely.
