Hey Craig--just saw your question. I have not used it in the extreme cold (I'm rarely in MN during the cold months!) so I can't really say how it will react. Generally speaking I can say that it is very well made and has held up well after several months of hard use.
@@JohnColdSnap Thanks - I figured that you may not have used in MN in the winter (since you are in Utah now). Reviews of this tripod always mention possible problems in the cold so I took a chance that maybe you had some experience.
