I had this skill and ROM hip and knee with making an occupied bed I want to thank you so much because your videos really helped me as it was my second try. Watched your videos for straight one week before going to take the exams and am happy to say I passed. Thank you
The clean barier is on the floor right under the catheter. If it dripped, the bottom of your clean barrier is put on the counter. Therefore, the bottom just contaminated the counter. You then proceed to use your gloves to turn on water and use paper towel dispenser before you take off gloves. Then wash hands and get more paper towels. The same dispenser you used contaminated gloves on. Im confused why this wouldn't be cross-contamination?

Hi, Heftyhikes! You have to record your measurement before stating "skill complete". Also, you need to verbalize "washing hands" before you record your measurement.

Hey I have to take my test soon, after not renewing it for some time and ive been watching your videos and i love them, so thank you! . but I have a question is it not considered cross contamination when we put the chuck from the ground on the table to see it eye level? If so could I put a new clean chuck on the table during set up?
Hi, Rebecca! Yes. You'll just have to collect 2 pairs of gloves. Before documenting, you'll appropriately remove and dispose of your gloves, verbalize "washing hands,"and then record your measurement. After recording, you'll don your second pair of gloves, then empty, rinse, and dry the container.

I have a general question for the test: When we want to wash our hands and change our gloves DURING the skill, do we lower the patient's bed since we're “stepping” away from them?
