@@amorlyfe9418 towards the end it gets annoying beyond imagination, imagine if eren hit his head and then his whole motivation was "let's live alongside titans", i had to drop it. Emma becomes a moral jesus mary sue, she's completely in the wrong and probably mentally deranged too but everyone agrees with her on everything including rey and norman who are supposed to be her equals.
Tokyo ghoul season 1 and 2 were pretty good but season 3 and the rest are absolutly terrible only good thing is kaneki and touka got married and the ending of it all was good thats it
it's actually depressing the more you think about it. the first arc was an absolute masterpiece. all the author had to do was build upon the rock hard foundation he already placed, but he decided to demolish it. I know that he took years to write the first arc and had time crunches, but he was given a 2nd chance and wasted it
they had so manny chances to make it incredible and they chose give emma everything she wants no struggle no big conflict just the power to get everything she wants
@@mthuree8171 well I'm not sure its gonna be the same as the manga like the kids are still alive and living normally but I don't think that will be the case with the anime lots were cut out like how they found Norman in the manga Emma and ray ran into some people named hiyoto and jin who said they were trying to track them down for the past few days and that "the boss" wanted to see them and they said it was William Minerva who was there boss after a few days of traveling they made it to the jaw of the lion and just as Emma entered the office it was no other than Norman who said he had been using the name William Minerva this whole time(who for some reason looks like he's 26 when he's only 13) and not to mention mister who is a character who appears in the time ep3 takes place in and was the one sitting on the chair in the room they turned on the lights (one thing I was so excited to see animated was when they met mister he told them that he escaped from a farm called glory Bell 13yrs ago and some other stuff about family being worthless and stuff but the kids refused to leave the shelter so to force them to leave he grabs Emma in a chokehold and takes her hostage and threatens to kill her if they don't give him the pen and leave right away and just as ray was about to give the pen to him Emma straight up hits him in the......well let's say unmentionable😐 and she gets away from him and says she feels like she was about to suffocate that was one of my most favorite moments in the manga)
S1: life outside the farm is gonna near impossible to achieve you'll be lucky to even escape S2 6 episodes in: Norman has developed a super drug to kill the biggest threat to humans
It was the worst episode of anime I have ever seen in my WHOLE LIFE. Granted, I only watch good anime. But since I watched this season I guess that could be debated
@Barney Yeah! There have been several shows that have been rebooted! Specifically Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Fruits Basket come to mind; they were rebooted to follow their respective mangas more closely!
@Ta ble nah watch s1 and s2 is just trash but of you're curious ((Spoilers)) One of the main characters who supposedly died, wanted to commit mass genocide on the enemy species. It is actually pretty similar to attack on titan's story. They found out that what outside their home land isn't what they seemed. They found out that it was worse. So yea that's basically it.
@@larkynria2223 bro trust me the manga is top tier , imagine everything good about season 2 , then take out all the bad stuff , and then multiply the good stuff by 20 , and that's the manga, it's awesome since it follows a story about how nobody is perfect and the only way they can survive is if they realy on each other which makes them a true family , in the manga everyone is ready to die for each other and it is shown over and over again
Lmao! the final arc of the series is such a disappointment and downright lazy writing. And now they gave us this? very laughable for them. Maybe you should also try and read Shadows House if you're looking for a series with the same vibe as TPN.
@@batmeme9349 Rumor has it that Shadows House is one of the reasons TPN season 2 is so bad. I heard that the team wanted to finish up with TPN quickly so that they could get started in on their next project, being Shadows' House. But this is something coming from a guy I know who got it from someone I don't know, and so forth. Even if it's false Shadows House is a mere shadow of The Promised Neverland.
The only changes from manga to anime of Grace Field arc is that Krone has a doll in the anime to vent her frustrations at instead of herself. The doll makes her seem cartoonish kooky instead of borderline psycho like in the manga
@Eri-Chan I’ve tried watching it and stopped at the third ep, I might’ve not gave it that much of a chance but the pacing of the story and likeness of the characters are hard
@@blackdemonheart9696 I’ve loved black clover I have seen both seasons it is slow in the beginning but it gets super good also the characters get super likable also their back stories get told by the end of season 1
I actually cried ep 4-5 because they skipped the Goldy Pond arc and I was looking forward to the Leuvis fight more than anything this year in anime. They completely dissolved Emma's development into a fully fledged badass and that hurt so much. She was such a great female protagonist for a non-shojo anime. Also Mister deserved better. What a waste. Shame. The biggest disappointment I've felt for a show in a long time.
At least FMA’s original adaptation had a unique feel and an interesting story with pretty good characters. This is just a dumpster fire. Shame, cus I was a fan of season 1.
@@MariaJose-rn3mr Got no idea, the entire manga was finished so they had the chance to run with it. 03 has the excuse of being made at the same time as the manga, but TPN had the whole manga on a silver platter and just did nothing with it. Seeing it get butchered this badly really sucks, this anime had potential.
Yeah I started reading the manga yesterday I'm on chapter 80 something, because I saw something about it skipping a really good arc and how the season has been shit. Bro jyugo( if that's how you spell it) is such a good character. S1 was a masterpiece I legit rewatched it 5+ times s2 is really disappointing
I was so excited to see Goldy pond animated but instead of animating Goldy pond they stabbed it 48 times in the chest and went for an any% world record on the story
They didn’t even give us time to miss norman, in almost every episode theres always a “I wIsH nOrMan wAS hERe” it’s so annoying that we keep getting reminded that we miss him, and they’re just foreshadowing so hard that he’s obviously still alive. If they actually had the goldy pond arc, the reveal of norman would be really good. If every episode didn’t mention norman and they still didn’t add goldy pond I’d still be surprised if norman was still alive.
I'll never, Ever forgive them for skipping the Goldy Pond Arc. That when part was amazing. I loved Lewis and how he hunted the kids. How they found goldy pond, and seeing Emma for the first time, have fear and Ray finally seeing her as a equal.
@@giseler.7137 I mean that I don't like the plot twist when someone dies and then they reveal that they wasn't dead, It kinda makes me lost interest because it takes away relevance to the previous episodes, It's lazy writting for me but It's just my opinion
i honestly think this show could have been the next attack on titan if they played their cards right. but no, cloverworks destroyed any future this franchise had.
the thing is that FMA went orginal because the manga wasn't complete by the time the anime aired promised neverland had no reason to do so other than the manga's lackluster ending, and they were trying to make it less bad but turns out to become worse
Imagine in AoT, Eren starts the rumbling and says he's gonna destroy the world to protect his friends and then Armin says, "No. Let's not kill our enemies." And Eren Actually fell for Armin's talk no jutsu. That's literally the ending of TPN for you.
The manga has the same thing but it's more gradual and actually makes sense because we see SOME FUCKING DEVELOPMENT THAT HAPPENED IN THE 1 AND A HALF YEAR.
Season 1: “This reveals this, and we need to figure out a solution to this. If you haven’t figured it out in a few seconds, we’ll explain it and make you feel smart.” Season 2: “You are a baby. Shut the fuck up. This and this happens. Move on, we need to finish the rest of these episodes so we can get paid.”
This is just downright baffling. Season 1 was a pure masterpiece. The suspense, the writing, the direction and art were all so unique. I legit can't wrap my head around why they're doing this
@@CMatt007 when? what anime in the last 5 years has done such a bad job? the last instance i can think of is tokyo ghoul but that was because they caught up. Unlike Promised neverland
@@indonesianbob68 Attack on Titan. The writer decided to Rian Johnson and Nomura us; completely fucked up the entire story by SPOILER ALERT AHEAD, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK! . . . . . making Eren Yeager the villain by traveling back through time with the bullshit "power" of the Attack Titan and pushing his father to consume Frieda Reiss because Eren, who didn't have the A.T yet, FUCKING COMMANDED HIS FATHER TO DO IT. Really, REALLY shit writing.
As I watch Attack on Titan, it feels I am not even watching an Anime. It feels like I am watching a masterpiece, even with the way the show is going they respect enough of the manga, to add the important parts. When I watch the second season of Promised Neverland, as someone who has not read the manga. It felt very babied down, I can't explain what I mean by this. But the first season was amazing, its quite sad how they took the second season and destroyed it. Now that I think about it, the second season is only 12 episodes. When I think about how far the season is going, its quite painful to watch. The character development, to how fast paced the show is going. It all feels just terrible. So I plan to just read the manga and pretend the second season never happened lol.
@@justanoobwithacellphone.5347 Season 4 is not normal like s1, s2, s3 if you read the manga theres a lot of things in the manga which is kinda impossible to make without cgi and yeah they only had 8 months if They gave Mappa enough time like 4,5 years there would'nt be any cgi Those people are dumb af They cab even animate A single 10 seconds, Plus they watch Anime And read manga illegally still they wanna complain and yeah i get your point

Monsters in the anime: Noooooo, don't run so fast! My little sister is deevolving :( pls
Yeah, what most hurt me about the goldy pound arc getting eliminated it’s the character development of Emma, especially her reaction to the cruelty of the hunt games and her determination to live for the people who loves her and wants to protect. Also, they made Emma look like an useless character in the anime, especially with the line “thanks to Norman is here, we can now move forward” or some sht like that, HORRIBLE INSULTING TO EMMA’S CHARACTER especially when you compared it with the events of the manga.
@@crumb3073 man, I fucking understand you. The goldy pond arc was... gold. It got me pretty hooked on the manga. I loved Lewis, the kids and Honestly, Emma and Ray's development.
@TheBoltMaster keep in mind that when a contract is made, the manga author has no power over the anime adaptation, and the animators can basically do what they want. I doubt this was the intention of the author...
@@lizjizz9397 I think it was confirmed that the author had almost complete control over the anime, which is the only reason we had hope, we thought they were smarter than this
I think it was just all about the marketing, especially all FAULT OF NORMAN. I love my boy, but they just throw it in the second season just to sell merchandise with the trio on it...
Note for anime watchers, if your show randomly has a recap episode in the middle of the season, that usually means one of two things: They've caught up with the manga and need something to fill time until they figure out what to do. Or the production is a Chernobyl level disaster area of missed deadlines and bad management.
You know, when this video first came out I was like “well I personally didn’t think it was too bad and I think that it’s going to get better.” Then I watched the finale... I’m sorry for ever doubting you Charlie
It's a shame what they've done in the s2 of TPN .. But guys remember, the author(manga artist)directly involved making the script of this season & made the hard decisions... So the things we can do, is just to be happy & grateful atleast the series do have a season 2 ,compared to the other old good series doesn't have a season 2...
Ikr! They put all of that in a PowerPoint presentation, and didn't even bother explaining, I had to explain to my anime only friend bc she didn't know what the contents of the "PowerPoint presentation" Was 😃
Literallt just finished the ninth episode and I was furious. Ray slapped him when they met up again a few episodes again, but when Norman explicitly goes against their agreement and betrays their trust, literally commits a war crime, and tries to murder innocent lives, Ray and Emma just show up like "its okay, we'll help you with your burden!" DUDE LITERALLY JUST LIED TO YOUR FACE??? And you're having this convo when people are being forced into mutation and consuming their families???
The thing is, when they skip that much development that the manga dutifully crafted and skip right to the middle of the climax, it changes the story horribly. :( I'm going to keep this spoiler-free, but the build-up to seeing Norman again through the characters' blood, sweat, and tears is the meat of the story. Without that, it's just an awful story.
I got bored within 5 minutes of the episode so I have no idea what happened. Can someone enlighten me please? Just don’t wanna waste another 15 minutes of my self
@@H2Ojellyfish theres only 1 episode that pulled me back in. It threw everything away in the last episode. Season 2 had nothing but they went very low with the last episode.

Yea I just binged the entire show in one sitting, I'm gonna pretend everything you said in this video is a lie and pretend that there isn't a season 2 so I can just be happy with season 1.
The manga is bad too. The first arc (anime season 1) is a masterpiece, then comes Goldy Pond (the arc they cut from season 2) which is average. Then after that, it keeps going downhill to a mediocre ending. Note: season 2 is following the manga from now on.
That's one of the emotional moment in the manga because you start to realize what they have gone through before that scene. You can literally feel the emotion of ray that's piling up until that moment.
@@jacquelineprevost4669 imo the manga ending was bittersweet but it could have been way better and i thought it was a little mediocre. but personally it's not really the worst ending i ever read but i wish the author did things a little differently. however the shitty anime ending makes it look like a masterpiece in comparison lmao. in the manga there are so many good arcs and beloved characters that the anime barely hinted at and/or removed completely 🥲. just read the manga to get a better understanding of the story and for more explanation. plus the artwork is sooo gorgeous (props to posuka demizu, the illustrator, i love her artsyle sm)

With season 3 they could fill all those gaps that we haven't seen but heard then that way season 2 would make a lot more sense after watching season 3 kinda like prologue. . . Just an idea
