Unka scietific reasons sirf theories hain kuch bhi proven nahi hai, aap jaake kisi doctor se baat karein, koi family mein ho toh agar woh inke scietific reasons ko justify kar dey toh phir aap maaniyega. Inka reasons pehle ke time mein tha ki 1. Pati ki lambi umra k liye hai jo hai 2. Taaki ek shadi shuda aurat ko control mein rakhaa jaa sake, woh dekh ke hi shaadi shuda lagegi toh koi aadmi uske paas nahi jaayega.. Inn nonsense reasons ko aap maan sakte hain main nahi. Baaki countries mein toh nahi hota aisa, toh kya unn sab ke husbands marr gaye? Yaa unke bachhe nahi hue? Koi difference nahi aaya toh kahaan ka scietific reason. Science global hoti hai , limited to india nahi. Abhi main aapko bol dungi ki rozz sindoor mangalsutra pehen ke ghar se nikla karo toh offend ho jaaoge, ladkiyaan karein toh bhaiya ko culture yaad aa jaata hai. Agar karna hai toh dono equal karlo. Shaadi ke baad ladkiyon ko toh sar se pair takk badalna sahi lagta hai aapko, lekin khud mein koi difference nahi laa paate.

Agar married girl sindoor or mangalsutra dil se na pehne balki kisi or ke bolne pe pehne to us ka koi matlab nahi reh jaata but the way Nia is excusing that Western outfit pe nahi jayega ,she is disrespecting sindoor and mangalsutra. The relevance of a "marriage sign" has lost its significance. It was probably useful in a war/poverty torn chaotic state, and also when the communication between men and women was very less. Which is not evident today. This has 2 main purposes. 1) it was actually a sign for men in those times to not advance towards a women who is married. basically a mechanism of conflict avoid. 2) A constant reminder to husband that you are in a commitment of marriage and cannot stray around. ;) also, Men were not much associated with such signs as women have always been relatively more committed in relationships.

This is the problem that u guys start assuming that girl is oppressed if she is wearing those things. For God sake stop leacturing us women what is progressive and what is not. If u don't like it then don't wear but don't speak on behalf of entire women community bcos there are girls who loves to wear these things. If bikini shorts are accepted then why can't sindoor and mangalsutra be accepted. Become open minded. Open minded people have no problem with sindoor and mangalsutra neither with bikini and shorts. Here I want to mention something.. Kayi baar na hmein pta hi nhi hota ki koi chiz hmare culture mein kyun hai uska reason kya hai.. Hmein bs usko glt hi maanna hota hai.. But bindi, sindoor aur bichchiya inn tino ka apna logic hai.. Which is purely scientific.. Problem is we are not educated enough to know the value of these tradition.. Regardless of that it's not compulsory to wear any of these things to prove that you are married

First question is why are marriage signs only for women??....Why men don't have to bear any sign.....And second thing is to allow someone to have a choice is having an authority on that person itself which I think is very disrespectful...Love and authority are two different things...People need to understand that...And to carry any sign of marriage should be a girl's own choice....

Men will always feel that women need not change at all. So, take it for truth that the change is always opposed by those who are benefitted by the existing norm. Most of the people like to believe what they have seen or heard in their environment. So, a very less section of the population takes extra steps to change their biases and it's understandable, it's difficult. Now, be it Sindoor, Mangalsutra, Bindi, Payal, Chaudi (bangles) or anything else, these are all the tools of patriarchy and the patriarch mindset will always them. Stop misleading people in the name of culture. Period
