No shame in it. Symbiosis is a pretty common run ender on floor 1, especially if it's your first stage. I've found E1 Archetto S1 + fang can clear it consistently for me so that's how I start most of my runs.
I usually do a gavial alter start, she works well on a lot of stages and the extra range on S2 is good, a fun interaction with that stage in particular is that if you place her on the bottom left tile facing up she pulls all the enemies that afk above the hole directly into the hole, and there's nothing more fun than enemies in holes.
I mean, IS modes have always been more about stage knowledge than anything else. Experience is huge. Same with any kind of strategic rogue-lite. It always blows my mind just how consistent some people are at things like hard mode FTL or the higher difficulties of Slay the Spire, for example.
Even less strategic ones can get like that with practice For example I have about 400 hours in synthetik The rng in that game is just for fun to me I'll win with anything the game gives me
37:10 The trade offers are always based on the rarity of what you offer, and curses are only considered medium rarity. so I find that its always worth it to trade useless "super rares" from encounters / hands that im not using, since itll almost always offer you pasta, rare books, hands, etc
@@dannybin663 basically, for relics that have multiple versions, the best one tends to be super rare; and most other unique strong relics are super rare. you can mostly just feel it out but if you really want to make sure, fandom wiki's IS3 page has a table with all the collectibles by rarity
Stupid question: would it be safe to trade relics that have effects that are only used immediately e.g the ones that promote operators or give hope? I'm assuming it's safe to trade the ones that immediately give ingots.
My IS3 core operators are Irene, Pozy, and Lappland. I've been using them all the time that I already reached surging wave 11 with no struggle and if the runs give me spinach, spaghetti, and some SP regen items that's a guarantee W
The moment ive acquired goldenglow and texas alter, i lost my IQ in playing this game, especially this stage, texas alter and goldenglow absolutely made IS3 so damn easy
Thank you for the video. I liked the tip on using one block operator on throwers. It's comforting to hear you say you should have, you made a mistake, etc. I was starting to think since I have trouble beating IS3, I am worse than 'Don't Need a Brain'.
I finally defeat the last knight.. i was soo lucky.. they borrowed me gnosis and stainless, have -80%def, -30%def all enemies, and i have red, texalter, ling s2, bibeak. And it was still a close call..
Theres no feeling like using fiammetta s2 with black tulip scout scope and all the sniper buffs and just seeing the 20k+ shots shred through everything on the planet like tissue paper. using my selector on her was so worth it . Also, I had a scavenger temp recruit during a run the other day and her stats were crazy high! Vigna was the 4* Vanguard I used for the most part but that convinced me to build her at some point(also made me realize shes cuter than I thought lol)
Crazy how they survive the boss. At higher surges most my units get 1 or 2 shot even in phase 1 when I have multiple units within range and getting healed
Not gonna lie the one and only reason I want to play IS3 is to get the new Reaper guard because I kinda hate the rng of roguelikes but I do like welfares / free stuff. Also I haven't built a lot of operators outside the "meta" ones like eyja and bagpipe. Leveling some 4 stars is on my to-do list once I get above 200k lmd again.
I choose the extra 2 hp pack, got the kettle collectible (I already upgraded the +1 shield when >8hp at the end of a fight), end up with >50hp (objective shield included) and just leak the boss lmao
true, especially when you got bs emergency on floor 5 ( Pool of Procreation, I'm looking at you ) dont think, just hit retreat my squad got annihilated no matter how stacked I am in that stage's emergency mode
@@DrSilvergun and i'm ashamed to admit because of those gacha rng i almost always pick omertosa if she's available. she's is such a huge safety blanket i felt invicible on most stages
Took me quite a while to finally reach Phantom and longer still to defeat him, back when IS2 came out. Even now, I can get a bad run and lose basically anywhere during the run. I still haven't beaten the teddy bear but I did defeat the Playwright. I'd say it's an 80% chance of me defeating the Phantom or Playwright, if I can get to them. In IS2, I either die to bad rng in the first 2 battles (I love playing the random squad) or I win everything. I play 1-2 times a day since it came out and can defeat the jellyfish boss every time. The only time I wiped after floor 1 is when I stumbled upon an alternative floor. It was an encounter about some monolith and if you use keys (I think) you "become" the leader of the seaborn for a while. This floor has it's own special boss that cripples your entire team and gets a DMG absorb shield often. Omertosa S2M3 lvl 60 module lvl3 with several ASPD and ATK relics couldn't destroy the shield. I still haven't discovered how to get other endings in IS3.
random squad are fun (when rng is in our side) since we basically get free 1 fully build operator with M6 and module (if they have) although it can be really pain if rng piss at us XD
@@xXDESTINYMBXx What can I say? I dropped her next to the bastard, she did her slash, hit him a few times, DIDN'T EVEN break his shield, died, he moved up, renewed his shield, I hit him again with Omertosa and GG, broke the shield, Omertosa died and dude was close enough to target my defence, he slaughtered them, trash mobs mass leaked.
@@doihavetobeg hmm maybe I had the 100% atk buff at ability activation relic. I also used s3. I think I used nian for tanking, with the module and a few small Def buffs she's really tanky
Yep, you dont need brain. All you need is luck. I have been failed my run several times in a row and just this afternoon i played it out of boredom and it just went super smooth, i got coin operated doll and siracrusan wrath and i beat all the stage no problem. From is2 i already know that is gamemode was luck based. But holy hell it really is luck based on asc 15.
Asc 15 was boring as shit for me Could hit floor 5 almost everytime but couldn't get through it unless I had great items or a really strong squad It ended up just being repeating till I got items very brainlessly Worst part was optimal pathing for me is to take as many fights as possible so every run was 40-50 minutes I think Asc 15 is doable no items for 4* if I get the right squad and stages but it's so repetitive I can't be bothered to prove it
1. Its faster than IS2 and 1 2. Its pretty straighforward I feel like Deepcolour is mvp here, cause her summon can tank them just fine I like her so much here that I E2 Maxlvl S1M3 Module3 her here
@@cheukyin699 when you make it to floor 5-6 then it's longer than is2. My average for is3 is 1hr10-1hr20 min while for is2 it's 50 minutes and rarely 1 hour
Who would you say are the most valuable 4-stars to E2 for this mode from each class? I've been meaning to E2 at least one unit from each main class so that I can always start IS with three 4-stars, but I've kinda kept getting distracted by and subsequently pumping most of my resources into shiny new 6-stars instead. I REGRET NOTHING and do still have some decent E2 4-stars despite this habit, but I would like to get a good idea of who would be best to prioritize.
I find Cuora to be pretty good if you don't have Hoshi built up. That 4 block can come in clutch sometimes. Click is decent because she has decent damage and stun. Vanguard I have no idea. I think Fang is one of the best for general usage and Myrtle is Myrtle. Depends how you play. Jaye is great, as mentioned. Easily one of the best picks. Guard again depends on your roster. I don't actually use any 4 star guards (because my best 6/5 stars are guards, which I think is pretty likely). Kroos is the best low rarity anti-air sniper. Pinecone, Catapult and Ambriel have use cases. Podenco is a nice support since her S1 is a heal and S2 has silence. Medics are a little tough since you'd ideally want someone who can heal elemental damage. Sus is also a good burst medic. Perfumer is useful too, being an AoE medic. Ultimately, IS2/3 can be cleared with suboptimal ops and I'd recommend using that mode to have fun with ones that may not be super viable without relics removing their shortcomings. So yeah, build whomever you like. Try to fit them into whatever team you feel comfortable with.
As Silvergun says, Cutter is a no-brainer for guards, her multipliers are huge and it costs pretty low sp for the activation. Click and May for stuns because stingrays are a huge pain in the ass if you keep them flying. Jaye is Jaye. Ethan is also extremely useful here. Podenco for silence and slow. Those are the core units for is3, anyone else is your preference.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Fortunately I already had some ops built up already (like Cuora and Jaye), while others I was able to promote pretty much immediately (like May and Podenco). Now all that's left is Cutter, and only because I lack the purple rocks she needs.
Man either you ain't seen real brain damage or my brain is more damaged than even I knew This still sounds like more than my brain is capable of thinking about kekL
I had my run killed when Last Knight died to the fish enemies in Vortex. For some reason he spawned directly in their path and not the tile right in front of the blue box. I haven't been able to finish a run with him yet.
This is very impressive... Maybe i should lv up some 4 stars.. have been play for more than 1 year.I only lv up 6 stars characters but it never ends 😭. I think i should invest in some 4 stars as well
Well, you might not need brain to clear is3, but you sure does have a lot of knowledge, operators and upgraded starting buffs. Love your pronounciation)
15:00 "We get the "free ingots" event. As a gacha player, I am morally obligated to choose "give me more ingots" every time, and I win every time, naturally". that line absolutely slayed me lmao
have videos of all bosse son my channel already maybe i'll do a vid with a knight + skadi run in the future but I can't be bothered to play more is3 rn
because it was stunned, no? I recall bringing one to this vid even if I'm too lazy to look through it Once it's on the ground you don't need stuns anymore
"Proof that You Don't Need a Brain to beat IS3" > Proceeds to use enormous amounts of specific stage strategies, arknights mechanics, and specific gamemode experiences to clear a self imposed handicap in already high difficulty content ???????? what?
If youre going to say that entire IS content can be beaten without needed a brain then you can say the same thing about the other content of this game.
You're overestimating the brain capacity of the average EN AK player They'll try to surtr the jellyfish, fail, then complain about how impossible IS3 is on calm seas
