@@InDatParishillustrated the different departments he was in. police, mayor’s office, major crimes, then back on the street (where’d he’d have most likely been a mole keeping an eye on Joe’s people)
Hilarious that he feels the need to not only change his voice in the first place, but that he changes it for each new department he's transferred to. I wonder if he improvised that. Also Sidney Handjerker is the least believable fake name ever.
"Late in the run, almost as a tip of the hat to the work that Robert had done for us, I wrote up a scene in which Proposition Joe -- in order to determine whether someone was a police officer trying to infiltrate his drug crew -- gets on a pay phone and in rapid succession imitates four different characters in four different voices. If you remember that scene and Robert's performance, you know everything you'd need to know about how good an actor this man was.” - David Simon. RIP
The funny thing is that Joe persuaded Marlo to join the co-op on the grounds that it would be a good channel for information and intelligence regarding law enforcement and in this case Joe offered to find out about Herc for Marlo, as if it was something that required connections. Yet the way Joe found out about Herc here is something that Marlo could have done completely on his own. I know that Joe has those deeper connections, but it's just funny how he sold the whole thing to Marlo.
Always someone like you on these wire clips writing a long book about what you think...no one asked nigga...why the input..just keep it moving and keep it boring...keep it dead fucking boring
Damn after looking through comments I see that prop Joe died in real life. I had no idea! Now I really hate Marlo! And I hate his death scene...I wonder if he really died from a heart attack??? RIP JOE
