My biggest issue with JDQA is philosophical rather than mechanical. Just another example of JD being JD and making it harder to service or get parts for their machines except through them. True, these days others are able and willing to make JDQA attachments, but that wasn't always the case. This used to be a problem that was, perhaps not exclusive to JD, was certainly highly concentrated there. These days, other big manufacturers are showing some of the same behaviors. JD simply remains the most vocal anti-right to repair major company in the industry. As far as the mechanical side, it looks to me like the JDQA would be better on subcompacts and smaller compacts due to weight, while the SSQA would be better once you got into larger compacts and above due to strength.

It's not just about right to repair. It's about lockin. If I bought a JD and over the years bought JDQA attachments, when I go to buy a new a tractor I'm going to get a JD. Fortunately, I have never bought a JD. Currently I have a Kubota and a variety of SSQA attachments. When I'm ready for a bigger machine, my options are open. If my business grows and I get a track loader, I can use my existing attachments.

Amen brother! I have had both. I have had more problems with ssqa than the jd. Mud or debris gets into the ssqa and freeze's or dries then you have to pick it out for the pins to engage. I never have that problem with the jdqa

One thing about the SSQA on Kubota is that they can be attached/detached without leaving the cab on the larger models, something the JDQA can't do, regardless of the tractor size or model due to needing the lynch pins to secure it. One of the pluses I optioned in when ordering the L4060HSTC.

I think the JD is a solid system. In the past is WAS harder to find non JD branded attachments but in today's world mostly all the implement makers have started making JD compatible attachments. I personally like the SSQA better myself but that doesn't mean it's better it's personal preference.

Have my JDQA on my 1025R, and the SSQA on my Kioti DK40. The JD is much less complex. I just had to replace the handle on my Kioti - $90 (that I could have used elsewhere) for parts, and about an hour of work. It broke while I had a 400 pound log in my grapple. Think of it like this - two pins only for the JD, that can be replaced for a couple of bucks, vs the many parts of a SSQA. Zero maintenance, except for maybe a shot of lube or a little paint. Also, the extra weight of an SSQA would be a serious deficit with a low capacity lift on a small tractor. I have about 6 SSQA attachments for the Kioti, so I am stuck there. If I was buying new, it would all be JDQA without question.

Many good points made here. They're both good systems but some 'much ado about nothing' talking points just never seem to go away. I like that you pointed out that no one complains about the other JD systems. Watch a bunch of tractor videos on youtube and you'll likely see way more red / orange / blue tractors doing loader work with their mid mount mower still on.

I have 2 JD tractors and I build my own attachments. I find it is very easy to build the JD attachment points onto the attachment. Just my point of view.

I look at JDQA and SSQA the same really because you can get the SSQA adapter for the JDQA. I dont know the history of the JDQA and why JD went with it instead of SSQA. It would be nice to know their reasoning behind it. Surely it could not be as simple as we just want to be different or offer our own attachments. Maybe it is that simple though. I really like the JDQA on my 3025e. I find it Extremely easy to line up and hook up to attachments. We have SSQA on our M7060 and it’s more difficult to hook up attachments if you don’t line up just right. I think most of that is more of the size of the tractor and the visibility but overall, I enjoy the JDQA more. Just my two cents.

I look at the JDQA as a resale issue potentially. If I sale my Kubota SSQA attachment (say my grapple), anyone with SSQA could buy it. If I had a JDQA grapple and want to sell it, my only audience/potential buyer is a JD owner. I also like the idea that if I sell my Kubota and go to another brand similar size tractor, my attachments would work. If I bought a JD , I'd need to convert it to SSQA, buy an adapter plate, or convert the attachment to JDQA. I like the KISS method and just standardize on the SSQA.

thanks for sharing this video, you said in your video that kioti offers a skid steer quick disconnect as an option. when I purchased my kioti tractor 3 months ago, it came standard with a quick disconnect bucket there was no option to order it with a pinned bucket. I would never own a John Deere style quick disconnect. I went to an implement auction last month not one John Deere style disconnect was for sale it was all skid style disconnect equipment

I learned something today. I never knew the JDQA stayed the same on all the different series. I love the system personally. I did know they made the adapter to put on a Deere for SSQA but always figured that was some of that give and take between the manufacturers as far as ability in the "stock" form. All quality tractors have ups and downs and so I always looked at what thi gs were most important to me. Great video.

I only have the bucket right now, but being able to just take it off is super handy, most of the time when I mow I, just taking the bucket off gives me enough room without having to take the whole loader off.

I’ve used a lot of manual SSQA skidsteers where you had to manually left/lower the levers on each side and people that hate the JDQA have not used SSQA much. I’ve had the SSQA be difficult to hook up or not be able to hook up altogether. I think people hate the JD one because you have to use those attachments. I think they hook/unhook much easier especially on my 5E series!!

JDQA does seem much simpler when they're both manual. However, with SSQA power-attach, I just press a button! Once you go power-attach, you'll never want anything else (and you'll hate all attachments with hydraulics)

@@dfarmer_ yea I know what you mean they are nice for a skid steer as well because sometimes you can’t open the cab up to get out and unlock the attachment. We went through 2 actuator motors on the last pipeline I was on and couldn’t use them so that sucked to

Great content! All the systems are great systems. I prefer Euro bc I don’t have to get back off the tractor to lock it in place when connected. Just an observation…… but. Basically everyone that complains about any system being difficult to hook up/attach to, doesn’t un hook from the implement properly. By that, meaning they don’t store there attachments on level ground and not just for the implement but for the tractor as well. If the attachment is level and the tractor is not rookies always have a difficult hooking up anything. Front or rear.

There are a few down sides to the JDQA that have not been covered. This may be specific to my JD4044m but the loader hook up arms ( sure they have a proper name) do not operate together one moves fast than the other so I have to bottom out the control to get them even to connect an attachment throw in the huge hood that is obstructive to your view it make for a hard hook up when working alone. The other thing is you have to be very careful of the pin and lanyard. If you do not put then in the little loader slot they can get pinched and broken off. It cost 8 bucks to replace them( ask me how I know) the up side to the system is JDQA attachments don't bring as much money at an auction as SSQA so you can pick up extra stuff for the front cheaper. I think it is an OK system if they could refine a few things on it but overall I miss my SSQA which is not a perfect system either.

I agree, most of these arguments are based on ignorance (not in a derogatory way, just in the case of not having the information). One of the main reasons I bought John Deere was because I realized that the after-markets tend to focus their efforts on the most popular/most used brands and that would be John Deere. Now, realizing the attachments are available is a whole different reality from being able to afford buying said attachments! :)

Excellent video. I get it. I actually use both and bought one of the adapters you mentioned. Works great. Think it was $400. Not a huge investment. I agee JDQA works as well or better than others. I just bought the adapter so I could rent accessories like SSQA post hole augers. I also have taken advantage of the 3rs function feature on my 3520. To me, people ought to worry more about getting that on their machine more than what quick attach set up it has. An extremely valuable feature.

Thanks for clearing that up and explaining the variances of both ssqa and jdqa. I never thought about after market implements. I bought a rear finish mower @ TRACTOR SUPPLY for around 1800.00 when my J.Deere provider wanted close to 3000. As you said, go after market or pay more for the J.D. brand. People do the same thing with vehicles.

Full disclosure, I have a Kubota I got back in Aug. Trying to look at it from a point of view of initial purchase, new to the tractor world, pricing, etc. which was me a few months back... You have to consider that, as a general rule I found JD tractors a more expensive over all to other brands. Admittedly it is time tested top of the line equipment no doubt but, many of the other brands are very good as well and getting the SSQA option over pinned didn't make that big of a price difference. Being new to the industry I admit that I may not have known all the placed to search but, as far as availability and variety of compatible implements, the SSQA seemed to have an edge. I know that most manufacturers offer both but, from my experience, it appeared SSQA was more common. I guess it depends on what your neighbors have but, I also see a lot of other brands sitting in fields and barns around my neck of the woods. Not just Kubota but Mahindra, TYM,... I do like the simplicity of the JDQA for sure though. It just looks like they used the KISS principle and made it strong and simple to use while keeping material/weight to a minimum. JMHO for sure though. Thanks.

Courtney (sp?) another great video. I worked in a municipal Parks Dept for a while and everything was ssqa. Of course in this environment a lot of people drive stuff like they stole it and almost everything is waffled up to some degree. Parks had many ssqa attachments where the lower locking area was bent up and made it difficult to make it lock. The jdqa has no moving parts and simpler is always better. If a jdqa attachment lower pin gets bent up I think it would be easier to heat that area up to straighten and make usable again. Just my opinion after fighting with many ssqa attachments.

Having used John Deere Quick attach, Euro style Quick attach, and Skid Steer Quick attach systems, my favorite to use is the John Deere Quick Attach. The Euro Style and Skid Steer are fairly similar in how annoying they are to connect/disconnect, not that any of them are that bad, you just need a hammer sometimes if there is some dirt/corrosion build up...

The JD system is quick and easy to use. The problem is that it simply dilutes the pool of interchangeable attachments. Heck, it's a proven fact that the Farmall Fast Hitch is superior to the Ferguson 3 point hitch in many different ways, it basically had a built-in Top-N-Tilt function. Unfortunately, Ferguson flooded the market and pushed the Fast Hitch to the wayside.

Although I never used the SSQA I like the the JDQA for the exercise. I have to take extra steps to walk all the way to the other side and put the pin in the hole. Especially when I'm hooking up my grapple. There's got to be at least two more steps to get the the other side. Helps me stay in shape. And yes round is a shape. 🤣🤣

@@GoodWorksTractors Courtney, very long to really short: we purchased a new home with 5 acres; both my folks passed away; I needed a compact tractor and a JD dealer was 10ish miles away; I was diagnosed with a very rare cancer in stage four. From home purchase to diagnose, four months. I battled this cancer over a year and we're winning and I'm almost back to normal. I can't begin to tell how much GOD has done for me, I'm totally blown away when I think about. I can't describe the sickness I endured with HIS help. But during that time, having a new 1023E, wanting to use and couldn't really, I found your channel. You have brought me tons of info, increased my desire to use my tractor, gave a smile to me to see your son on your 1025, a tear when Rossie passed, seeing your brother come onboard, and much more. I have noticed the newer John Deere loader holes where the bucket pins go is larger that on tractor loader models from previous years. This has lead to us having to create washers on some of our older implements to help bridge the hole to prevent breaking and bending the snap pins.

My neighbors told me to get a pinned on bucket because the quick attach was garbage. They had so many problems, blah blah...... He was pushing down trees with his bucket and generally running that tractor extremely hard. It lasted about 3000 hours and got sent out to pasture. Their new tractor is bigger and badder and SSQA. The baby LS MT125 has SSQA but it is supposedly a little smaller so normal sized stuff won't fit. I was looking at them but for other reasons I went with the bigger MT225s. My dad bought a Kioti the next week and made sure his stuff would fit mine. He would have bought the LS if it meant his stuff would fit mine just so we could share. Just FYI buyers beware. The MT125 sub compact is SSQA but smaller and doesn't fit normal SSQA stuff, according to my dealer.

@@rcwayt4020 SSQA is TERRIBLE when dirty and frozen. We've used our hot pressure washer to clean up and get them moving. Now, the skid steer sleeps in a heated shop and I always keep that area clean. We have power-attach now as well.

The real versatility of ssqa is being able to use hydraulic attachments, and that implies mixing brand X oil with low-vis hyguard… no thanks. Not going to contaminate my tractors hydraulic system with some random skid steer attachment that’s already been passed around with 20 other machines… Not to mention skid steer buckets and attachments are typically heavier by design because they are meant for industrial use. A tractor is meant to do tractor things, and a skid steer is meant to do skid steer things… you don’t see anyone complaining about skid steers not coming with 3-point hitches on the back…

They do make a few hydraulic front attachments intended for tractors. I've seen brush cutters and augers. Not sure, but they're probably available in JDQA as well.

When the first version of the JDQA system was designed many years ago, the SSQA had only been out a short time. I believed it was introduced by Bobcat. Most loader attachments throughout the industry were pinned. Back then, within the industry, the engineers for construction equipment followed one set of guidelines and the ag equipment designers very seldom looked over the wall to see what they could possibly use. If you look, the JDQA system is very similar in design in how combine front end equipment attaches. So, they developed in parallel. Is one better than the other? As you noted, it is a matter of personal opinion. (I was working at Deere when the system was originally designed and participated in a couple of design reviews.)

JD is a good tractor. I just think they should all have the quick attachment the same like all other tractors and skid steers. That’s one reason I didn’t go with JD. Because I have skid steers and I don’t need to buy extra attachments

I had this same debate with myself just last year when buying a new compact tractor. SSQA gives you more options than JDQA hands down. Yes, the industry has come a long way with aftermarket options than just buying from JD. I would also agree that JDQA is a good system. Along with getting a SSQA attachment given to me by a friend and the price of JD it caused me to decide against buying JD. A better system would be one that I didn't have to get off the tractor to push down levers, or slide pins in. I've operated large wheel loaders and excavators that had this. Maybe some day.

Thank You for the interesting video . As a point of trivia Farmhand also had a Qa system. As to the wrong part being installed please remember the person installing that part is on a VERY TIGHT time line , basicely the assembly line has no mercy or margin for error. if all goes well everything is caught by the inspectors and fixed in the rework area. after 31 years of assembly I have seen some scary things . I personally believe that for the most part everybody does the best they can , to build the best machine , sadly there are many limiting factors involved.

My biggest regret was not being aware that my new tractor could be ordered with the JD quick attach. Everyone said how great the skid steer connection was ... but I HATE it. 2 mins to change attachments on my JD (I could drop it anywhere and it would level itself out when I lifted it up), but now takes me almost 10mins because I have to have it placed in their "just right" before latching the attachment.

I have no problem with the design of the JDQA, but I do have an issue with the mechanical function. I'm not sure if everyone sees this issue, or if everyone thinks of it as a problem, but on my 1025r, and now my 3046r, the "paddles" on the QA don't stay in time. The reason is that the holes in the timing bar, the holes in the "paddles", and the pin diameters are all different. This allows the "paddles" to move independently of one another for a short distance. Too much play between the parts. The holes in the "paddles" are 7/16. The holes in the timing bar are slightly smaller. The pins that connect them have play between the pins and the timing bar. Add it all up and you can get about 3 inches difference between the "paddles". My dealer said that this is the way it is designed, and there is no need to fix anything. I, for one, find it annoying. It makes it difficult to attach implements. To help alleviate this problem, I drilled out the holes in the timing bar to 7/16 to match the holes in the "paddles". Then I replaced the pins with 7/16 diameter bolts. This cuts the offset down to about half of what it was, making it easier to align the paddles with the implement. I believe the remaining offset is caused by play between the pins that attach the "paddles" to the loader frame. Has anyone else seen this happen on their tractors? Thanks for the great videos!

I see this on my 1025R, too. I attribute this to the fact that the two hydraulic cylinders just have a slight difference in internal friction. It’s not a major issue, in my opinion. The only time it’s an issue for me is using brackets I made to pick up my 54 inch mower deck. JD doesn’t make brackets for my 2016 54 inch deck, so I crafted my own.

It's just haters. People who actually use JDQA love it. All my friends bleed Red, and when I bought my 1025r, they gave me crap and said all the QA items were a gimmick. That was until they used it. "Best thing ever" said my buddy Ryan. My friend Curtis liked it so much, he's thinking about getting a (new model) 2025r. I guess I'm the lucky one because my dealer mechanic was very skilled and my auto connect drive over deck has been working flawless for 5 years now. I have yet had to readjust it from the wear. I think my favorite thing about the JDQA is the less weight and the fact that it brings the load closer to the tractor, giving me the best possible lifting ability.

Imagine if JD gave up the proprietary for this system so others can use it… I think it’s a better system for the smaller tractors that don’t really need the beef or a SSQA. The system where you can pick up the mower decks with the loader is pretty sweet. Not sure what JD benefits from by holding onto this.

The biggest issue strength wise on the JDQA is that it relies on the shear strength of two 3/8 tractor pins when pushing down on the tip of the bucket/ forks/ stump bucket etc. when digging. On a 1025r that might be fine but on the bigger models could lead to trouble. I haven't broke them yet on my 3032e but it is possible but you can break anything if you beat it hard enough. On another note, your 1025r is starting to remind me of a 1980s-90s 4wd pickup with too many bolt-on accessories on it. Up next is chrome shocks and rollbar.. 😆

There are a couple of dealers of competing brands on here that CONSTANTLY hammer JD about their "proprietary" system. Completely ignoring the fact that you can buy attachments for it all day long from all sorts of 3rd party builders. It's a standard system. They also neglect to mention that SSQA is also an option right from the factory. Honestly, if you can't buy the tool you want with a JDQA- that's not a fault of JD. That's someone who won't build that option. I think the whole fooforaw is just the RU-vid comment section making mountains out of molehills, as normal. And, of course, vendors of competing brands- who don't/can't offer that option- trying to sell their wares. It's like a cult of personality... Good video!

In Europe lots of proprietary systems are available, especially the wheel loader manufacturers (We commonly use compact articulated wheel loaders instead of skid steers) all have their own systems available. But almost everyone pays the initial extra fee for installing the EURO quick attach system as this makes the purchase of used attachements much easier as its the most common. So count yourself lucky if there are only 2 commonly used attach systems in the US. Of the top of my head I can think of Weidemann, Schäffer, Hauer, Giant, Thaler, Merlo and lots of other companies that offer proprietary quick attach systems as standard option.

You can mount the cast steel carrier brackets on just about any loader because the torsion bar is the only width constraint. Either cut it down or use your own steel rod source. BTW: the cast steel carriers are very much stronger than a stamped steel version also available from Deere. I put the Carrier kit on my 80 loader without a problem. Made my own snow plow mount. Clips right on.

I purchased a set of aftermarket JD brackets on EBAY for 104. Bucks. If you can weld you can make just about any attachment fit your JD loader.

It’s more of an issue of interchangeability for me. I already owned a Kubota with SSQA when I bought a JD. I converted my JD to SSQA and sold my JD bucket. I don’t hate JDQA I just wish they would go with SSQA so that there’s only 1 QA on the market. If you only have a JD I think you would be happy with the JDQA but you do have fewer available attachments on the used market. Personally I have bought a bale spear and pallet forks used with SSQA and I wouldn’t have found those in JDQA as easy.

With JDQA, is there an optional system where you can attach/detach without leaving the cab? We got power-attach on our latest skid-steer and would never go without! I absolutely love pressing a button to attach/detach different attachments, especially in the winter! With about a dozen attachment its so handy. I want to get a second set of pallet forks so I don't have to get out and change the width of the forks now.

Gonna piss in some cheerios…jdqa is Jonny being jonny. Ssqa by design and functionality is superior. 1) 2 angles always working against each other and held in place by spring loaded pins. Attachment stays tight and if fitted correctly always pulls itself tighter. 2) can you imagine a jdqa on a skid steer?? Yeah I thought so 3) who in the heck wants to have a bucket fastened by lynch pins way at the bottom? I can see this pin and cable getting broke, falling out and lost doing some backdragging or brush work🤦‍♂️🤬 4) larger tractor quick attach like CAT IT style is a better system. One where there is removable pins that slide thru attachment “ears”. Granted peps gonna holler about ssqa falling off wore out, pins broke, bent…sure nothing lasts forever and in reality, common sense use is not so common in some folks.

I have a JD1025R and love it, but I use a Bobcat mini-loader at work with a SSQA... with hydraulic lock pins! Very useful addition if you're going to switch frequently between attachments without having to squeeze out and in of the cab : unlock and lock your attachments with the flip of a switch! To my knowledge, JD doesn't offer that. The down side though is that the hydraulic SSQA has a tendency to not catch properly. We've had two incidents in the past three years of the bucket coming loose while operating... once it fell unto the cab. That wouldn't have happened with the JDQA.

On the smaller tractors the jdqa is absolutely superior. It doesn't weigh nearly as much as the skid steer plate you have to install on both the loader and the bucket

Great video! 👍🏼👍🏼 also, keep in mind, was the SSQA attachment designed to work on the tractor? In some cases the implement is heavier than the tractor needs thus effecting the performance. (example: 4000lb rated forks that weigh 390lb going on a 1 or 2 series Deere tractors when 2000lb rated forks that weigh 275lb will be sufficient) This is the part of the reason Deere designed their own Quick attach. They’ve had the same quick attach carrier since the late 90’s. Back then it was pin on attachments or skid steer mount. They wanted quick attach but at that time all the skid steer stuff that was available was physically too heavy for small tractors, so they designed their own. It wasn’t until about 15yr ago that more lighter ssqa imp started becoming available.

When I was shopping for a machine I was surprised the SSQA was an extra cost option on the Kubota. Thats just one reason I bought green. In my area I also had my choice of 4 JD dealers. I know my neighbor with a pinned on bucket is really envious when I can have a different attachment on the loader in just a few minutes. I thought you were going to address the way the JDQA seems to be out of alignment/timing when changing attachments. I have learned to just handle.

Hi Courtney, I don't think the JD QA is a problem, as it is a well designed system. But being proprietary mean it will have limitations, especially since 90% of the world uses the SS QA. I would like to see a durability test to see which system is stronger, even though I think the SSQA will have a higher capacity.

Curious about something, and maybe this is a good place to ask. With the heavy square metal frame on the loader side of a SSQA, would that make it less likely to tweak the loader arms out of alignment when compared to the JDQA? I know both systems use torque tubes between the FEL arms, but the JDQA would only have the torque tube and the attachment frame, while SSQA also has that plus the SSQA frame.

I have ssqa and my father has jdqa they both work just fine. Only thing I don't like about the jdqa Is they get out of sink one side is farther up or down then the other. Has not been a issue tho if you know they are not lined up. Myself and father have forks and a bucket and I think it takes about the same time to swap out.

The JDQA is a good solid simple system, so is the SSQA. But it's far from common in Australia. A large proportion of Compact JDs and every other brand in Australia are fitted with after market loaders, and they are fitted with the much more common Euro quick hitch or Global carrier. Kubota is the only manufacturer that uses a SSQA. Yes you can buy after market JDQA attachments here but trying to find used ones is almost impossible. Where as euro hitch is easy as pie.

I don't think that there is anything inherently wrong or weak in the JDQA system. My biggest issue is that I am cheap and trying to find USED attachments for JDQA is almost impossible. I work for Ditch Witch and we can loan out attachments so without a SSQA on my tractor I would be out of luck. I fully understand the argument that if you are going to purchase your attachments new then by all means get a JDQA. I do think that they could have designed the system to be a little better using a larger pin than a simple lynch pin. Maybe more like a combine header with sliding pins.

Hey Courtney...Been happy with JDQA. Not restricted from any attachment I need and as you say, always can add the SSQA adapter if I want to mooch off my friends attachments. That said, the SSQA front end attachments my friends have for their skid steers, etc. would most likely not be appropriate for use on a 1025R.. Great video and thanks for sharing!

It is a problem if you buy attachments used or if you ever trade your tractor for a different brand. If proprietary attachments were no big deal we'd still have fast hitch and snap coupler attachments on the back of tractors.

My question is in looking at the difference between JDQA & SSQA looks to me like the JD had more potential for a keeper pin to become dislodged over time. I have no experience with the JD system, so this is just a question in my mind.

JDQA doesn’t require any maintenance. SSQAs need to be greased. Which isn’t a problem but it can always seize up depending on conditions. And then it’s just not fun.

I am in the “deciding “ phase. I am leaning heavily toward the 1025 r. Only experience I have with tractors is grading driveways with a small kubota for our local water company. I intend to use it on 6 acres at our lake property. We have several dealers locally from most brands here in Alabama. I am going to have to do more research but, anyone think I would regret a 1025r? I don’t know but it seems like my mind might be made up.

Been happy with my 1025R and going on 7 years maintaining 3+ acres in central MA. It is a very flexible "little" tractor and easy to reconfigure if you multipurpose it like I do. Some one said somewhere on one of the forums it's like a "Swiss army knife". It can do a lot but it is limited in scope. If you aren't in a hurry you can accomplish many tasks. Wish I could have had one 30 years ago. Definitely do your due diligence research and you'll be able to come to the right choice for your situation. Wish you the best of luck with whatever brand and model you choose!

I've had a 1025R for 4 years now and I love it. Sometimes I wish I had something bigger but most of the time I have actually been surprised by what it can do. If you are planning on using a belly mower it is hands down the way to go. Taking it on and off is much easier than the other brands.

I have had my 1025R for about 7 years and absolutely love it. It is a work horse and a great mowing machine. Only regret is I didn’t purchase the backhoe and also didnt get the graple bucket. Watch Tractor time with tim and you will learn alot about the 1025R.

The only thing that would significantly separate JDQA and SSQA (or the Euro/Global QA for that matter) is if you could get power lock for the SSQA, which isn't generally available in these ranges of tractors.

Long and short the both work well, neither is better mechanically. If you intend to buy new attachments, no issue. If you want to buy used, much bigger issue. If you intend to try and save money on used equipment this is a very big deal. The used market is flooded with SSQA gear from virtually every other brand of tractor and skid steer.

If I can't swap out attachments by pushing a button and never leaving the seat, I have NO use for it. To my knowledge, JD doesn't make their attachment system in a hydraulic quick attach version. If I had to get in and out of my enclosed cab every time I swap attachments, I'd go crazy.

Haven't use the jdqa, tractor should be here in March sometime. But I know plenty of time on rental equipment, it never fails that one of the levers for ssqa is messed up and doesn't want to work.

I can't tell you the amount of times I've switched implements between our tractor and skid steer. A JDQA on our tractor would cost us thousands in extra implements, or several hundred in an adapter. I really see no reason to have the JDQA if you even think you may own something other than a JD tractor. It's just too exclusive compared to the universal SSQA.

I just received those parts I ordered for my bucket. I have a JD 6415 tractor with a #563 front end loader with a 7’ bucket. The quick attach on the front you hook it on top then tilt the bucket up and you have spring loaded latches on each side at the bottom. Well I just can’t seem to get these adjusted and I have a lot of trouble with them. Do you have any suggestions ? Thanks. Merry Christmas to you 👍👍👍❤️🎄

Not many non-deere dealers stock deere attachments. Most all other brands stock ssqa. Unless you want to ship, wait for an order, or go to a deere dealership, you are sol. Also the used market, craigslist facebook for every one jdqa theres 3 ssqa. Facts man, jd is very decent but is john deere only. Its not universal.

My problem is not with the system, it is MY PROBLEM... I have a JD 4210 with the JDQA and a larger tractor with a SSQA. So, my attachments have to be tractor specific. But really, I wouldn't use the same attachments on a the 30hp tractor I use on a 75hp tractor, so I don't find it a serious issue.

If John Deere really wants to shake up the quick attach market, make the pins automatic. It does annoy me to have to get off of my tractor just to clip two pins on. How many more tractor owners would switch attachments of you didn’t have to get down off your tractor when you switch attachments. If I can just stay in my cab then I would be a much happier rancher.

It causes the cost to raise across the board. A manufacturer who has to make two different versions rather than one has higher cost. That raises the price of all their products. So proprietary anything always raises cost across the board. Not much of a problem, but there definitely is a cost.

Something that goes both ways, the JDQA can keep potential buyers who have a current tractor with SSQA from switching to JD, but can also keep JD owners with JD. I have a Kubota and already have a bunch of SSQA attachments so switching to JD would mean replacing a bunch of items and is a non-starter.

SSQA is honestly not that great, but I feel like I'm stuck with it because that is just what I happen to have. I have probably ten plus skid loader attachments that I inherited from my dad, so that's just what I'm going to be going with. Probably the best one is the global on the bigger tractors. I don't think that SSQA is as strong as some of the other styles. Also the levers can be a pain to get fully latched in sometimes.
