no family/person had a good family- because life and people are not perfect. even the so call purist parents fail their kids because they shelter them from the real world. and when these type of kids face the world they are at a disadvantage- so wisdom and balance and some bad experiences are necessary. her family was probably good enough for her to have to have a criminal free/average to great life. The best families with a number of kids - say 5 siblings on average at least one is going to have big time issues - from criminal activities to drug addict- etc. Many that are raised in a good environment seek to be cool and thru peer pressure can get caught up in street life.

boogy313rd because they got a mind and personality of they own too. Some got deep down mental issues, some get caught up n it only takes 1 time, and some simply just don’t listen. You can try to steer your children the right way, but ultimately it is their decision.
I always find it so interesting - when Mark initially asks them "How was your childhood?" The immediate response is "my childhood was good!" Then a couple minutes into the interview they describe a childhood that was horrible.
You’re completely right, but what people don’t understand is it’s not only protection, but these women with daddy issues, they find comfort in not having to worry about paying for things, yes they are definitely getting ripped off, but there is comfort in a parent child relationship for many people and not worrying about paying for your hotel paying for cell phones paying for all these things you just handover the money and then what you need just magically appears in front of you. You have to understand many of these women are very traumatized they have a lot of parental issues still having that parent child relationship where they’re taken care of and I say that very loosely because obviously they aren’t being taken care of they are providing your money, but just the ease in their mind of everything being taken care of and all they have to do is do one thing “go to work “sometimes it’s very comforting to people. It’s just like people in a cult who literally just live at a place and work for that particular place and they find comfort in being directed in every day of their life not having to make choices/decisions/pay bills/make Important Decisions etc. people find that very comforting. It’s not about the money at that point even though that’s what the claimant it is.
People NEVER stop trying to achieve a higher self purpose! You fall…get back up...keep pushing...never give up on yourself. It’s never to late to get straight or turn your life around
MY SECOND COMMENT ON HERE: How is it that in other interviews everyone sees the sweetness in the persons being interviewed but with Loddy, so many negative comments are being put out there ? I don’t believe people are being negative. It’s just when yuh know the streets you know. She may be hurting and yes covering it up. But it’s the way she’s doing it, like she has it all together and obviously lying through her teeth. All I say is, addict, abused, whatever. Be honest and tell your story. My hopes are she sees this and sees how superficial she is and she sees that she not being real with herself and others. I believe that’s why people are so hard on her, because it’s not a real story. So why get on here and tell straight up lies. I pray she sees herself.

I think we want a story or someone delivering a story in a way where we see them as helpless. I think the way she is expressing herself comes off as prideful,self assured and confident and we as viewers are like "you are a prostitute,you should be honest and say this life sucks" which she already did. She said it, she just didn't say it the way we were hoping her too. Which I think that in itself is a teachable moment. I think what we don't like about Loddy is her personality... shes too much and in some way she's at peace with this crazy way of life that she admits she has chosen.

Am I the only one not convinced? She’s had some trauma but became a pro at concealing it. Idk, what it is but her spirit and eyes just gives me a different vibe from what she’s telling.
Sometimes when the real truth is too difficult to accept, we make up our own truth and then begin to believe in it in order to mentally survive. Ya often gotta fake it to make it.

Fascinating character. Love the confidence. She must have an natural inner dialogue of positivity. Perhaps her psyche doesn’t allow her to tap into past trauma in order to maintain that positive, confident self. We all have our own truth, but that may not be the truth through someone else’s eyes.

I think when we as a society start using phrases like “these people” we are othering. I like how Mark tries to make PEOPLE feel good about themselves. Anybody can find themselves in unexpected situations.. If more people remembered that, there would be a lot more tolerance and a lot less discrimination.
I know a girl like this. Who’s been in the lifestyle. Sure, Loddy may not be totally transparent, but also, Loddy is living her life as best as she can. There ARE people who don’t victimize themselves. Prostitution, trafficking, etc is not a one size fits all type of thing. Think about it like this: How many of us here know the crazy truths about our world in 2020, but still carry on and shop at our local Walmart’s, or even enjoy nights out with friends? May have had everything in money as a child but obviously no love. Feel sad for her. Seems to have a chip on her shoulder, like "I'm tough and strong" but deep down I'm so hurt. A mask to hide her pain. To say she was humble rather than happy? I see more pride. I know I rebelled and did the opposite to what my parents wanted because they expected perfection. It’s not always your childhood that messes you up.. everyone says she’s lying but for some, it’s not the childhood that messes you up but the decisions you make as a young adult (13-16). Not everyone’s problems stems from other people. Some people’s problems are brought on to themselves. I had a typical good childhood but still ended up in the sec industry and miserable, and I have a hunch that a lot of people with good childhoods get to the age where they can experiment and make their own mistakes.. we are individuals.. I just don’t agree with always pointing fingers at parents.
