I actually had the opposite reaction. Cafeteria food sucks (still is if I remember correctly). 🤔 For me since I'm Korean, my mom (later myself when I started cooking more in middle school) makes lunch that's close to bento (but Korean food instead of Japanese). EVERY kid wanted my lunch so bad, they were willing to pay for it. Lol even the kids whose parents made their food. My mom is THAT good. 🤣

I am half Peruvian and it happened to me too. I had a Peruvian protein drink in middle school and some girls were saying that I was drinking dirt/mud. One time a friend saw my lunch and was like, "can I try some?" (and they liked it and kept asking for more each time) and that made me real happy.
