I always assumed Norm was fucking with him (he was the king at this), but do you think the troll was the long "I quit" story on the plane or was the troll buying the cigarettes and lighting one up?

It has become a running gag for me to watch. I was listening to some comedians telling Norm stories, and one of the comedians told a story of a time where he had worked with Norm. Apparently, the guy was the MC and Norm headlined. Norm wanted to smoke with him before his set and the guy declined stating he didn’t want to mess up on stage, like repeat a joke for instance. Norm told him how stupid his reasoning is and and the two got high. During Norm’s set, the MC says he hears Norm closing with the same joke he opened with. Norm does the exact thing that the MC was fearful of (deliberately of course) and it went completely over the MC’s head. Norm did a joke exclusively for him and he never understood.
