They were able to downsize a tailed beast. One of the most destructive beings in the franchise, capable of leveling mountains with a single burp. To a starter pokemon that could fight evenly with a lv 10 squrtile. I am honestly impressed with this development.

In japanese folklore tanuki are shapeshifters (just like foxes and cats) but their shapeshifting skills are low-level compared to those two. In one folk legend a tanuki shapeshifts into a spherical tea kettle to fool a buddhist monk, but when the monk is boiling water with the kettle on bonfire, the heat makes tanuki's shapeshifting go off and it turns partially back to animal. And runs into the underbrush, screaming 😁 Yes, that iron thing where Shūkaku is stuffed in is a kettle to boil water for tea and soups 😊
I really like how they gave Gaara an adopted son. It gives us the ability to see him act like a parent. They never gave him a love interest so it’s really interesting and adorable to see him take on a fatherly role. I like Shinki’s character too and how they gave him the ability to use Iron Sand. It opens a good connection with him and Gaara.

It's insane of how Naruto and Gaara's friendship changed Shukaku's personality so much! The fact that Shukaku went from the Chunin Exams episodes of trying to constantly take over Gaara's consciousness in order to destroy everything to now where he's willingly to be stuck in a kettle and worry how he's gonna fight if he's the size of a Pokémon.

Tailed Beasts hated being sealed inside jinchuriki. Only Gyuki and Kurama came to enjoy being with their jinchuriki. I would find dificulty for any of them to want to be sealed inside Boruto. Unless Kurama is transfered to him when whatever happens to Naruto comes to happen.

Same goes to Shukaku, he befriended Gaara now, the only difference is that Shukaku wants to be free outside, not inside Gaara. So much things changed after that big war. And now Tailed Beasts have to protect themselves from yet another harm - main Otsutsuki clan
