Hey Guys, I really need prayer. My parent’s marriage seems to be worsening and I don’t know why or how. It’s been really hard keeping my peace when I am constantly being reminded of my situation. It’s hard to see my mom trying to make it work all the while dealing with work stress, burnout, and trying to provide for our family while my dad doesn’t seem to be doing anything to help. He watches tv all day, is always short with my mom when she tries to interact with her, and he hasn’t worn his wedding ring in 4 days now. I’m praying and trying so hard to hold onto God’s promises. I am struggling to believe that he can heal their marriage and everybody around me seems to be speaking death on their marriage, saying how they’re most likely going to get a divorce. Thank you for encouraging me to hold onto my faith and peace in God. He is my refuge in times of trouble.

I have been going through loneliness recently. I used to always run away from my dorm room because I felt lonely until I tore my ligament in my ankle. I had no other option but to sit alone because I had no mobility. I started praying, worshiping opening my eyes to new things in life. Amen to God for forcing that loneliness so that I can ALONE WITH GOD

Grace and peace family. You inspire me a lot! Only becuz I know the Holy Spirit is moving you and I’m a family man as well. Thank you for being so honest about your testimonies. Made me start going about my RU-vid different all praises to Jesus Christ our Lord and savior

“Evil communication ruins good manners” I believe this statement is also true with our peace in Christ…if we’re around the wrong environments, watching the wrong things etc. it will drain us from our peace & the world will be much louder in our spirit. When we’re around good communication & a healthy environment & abiding in healthier habits like reading & working out, prayer etc. & wether it be done alone or with our brothers & sisters in the church, I believe our lives can abide in more peace this way. Guarding our hearts, Watching out for Evil communication is what I need & will do 🙏🏾❤️

This was a sign to me … I’ve been growing in my walk with Yeshua , and I’ve been praying a lot more then I used to but it’s been hard trying to just sit with God , I usually pray when I wake up and through out my day and at night, but at home watching RU-vid videos, always got a video that catches my attention …. But that time could be spent with GOD . Your video came at the right time like I’m about to cry cuz I know God is talking to me through you 🤦🏾‍♂️😮‍💨😢

So the key is to not be alone but alone with God and to spend time with him?

I think I know precisely what I need to do to protect my peace. I already am capable of knowing when to say no and which offers to refuse. Now I especially need to get a little more comfortable praying to God and sharing my thoughts with him. I need to tell him everything that's on my mind instead of just saying the same words over and over again. I've always been comfortable being alone due to my introversion, but it seems that i have yet to master my prayers and the way I share time with God. It might take time, but it's not impossible. Thank God it's the opposite for me as an INFJ introvert. The loneliness you mentioned has NEVER been an issue for me. If anything I relish my alone time away from people and love having spare time to reconnect with God.

love how you have daily quiet time as a family! this is something i want to do! I do try to read the Bible (even if its audio Bible) daily and i love to slow down and read the Bible while taking notes on just about every verse, it helps to understand it more

This was my exact problem this morning :') I've been feeling so empty recently and its caused me to turn into myself and disconnect from others. I couldnt pour out love into them or intentionality. I realized this emptiness came from my lack of discipline in staying intimate and connected to God. I wasnt protecting my peace with Him, like you said, which resulted in me failing to give His peace to others :< ♡ Thank you so much for this video huhu

My fiance just left me a month ago. The first thing I did was pray and trust in Him. A month later and I am happy. He showed me how wrong that relationship was. I finally cut the last bit of social media out of my life. Peace spunds hard, but God fills that void. I have come to find that that family was not good for me. They judged me, said I was ungodly, and disrespected me. She and I were great. This is a growing season now. God's plan is greater than my own. He knows more than I do. Trust the Lord!

Absolutely Amen! As you get older you realize as you go through your seasons with your health issues and your spouse has health issues and you watch your adult children making bad decision that can break your heart….then protecting your peace gets real, really fast…this is required in all stages of your life.

Yes! Especially in the busyness of life these days, being alone with God might cost early mornings when you would rather sleep or saying no to friends because you have made an appointment to meet with God.

To be honest, I have been spiritually not at peace. I always wanted to go in the forest and make my peaceful place there, but since I live in the city and is not really safe to go at night, I sometimes take my small blue New Testament to the balcony and sit while watching stars and the moon, talking with God sometimes or being silent. My style is that of a bird in high places. Sometimes, God revealed some things to me through an inspiration, but currently I feel like I fell out of grace by my own sins and mistakes. It is hard and I do not know how to control myself, my prayer life because extremely weak and have a feeling my prayers are not honest anymore, but rather null. You are right about everything you said bro, peace is very important and God knew exactly when is the time to retreat away from the crowd and keep His peace. Man, how could I have forgotten the real value of peace of His.

Wow, I have a cemetery just down my appartment, I always searched a good place and a good moment to be alone with God when my house is full of my wife and my dad, I realise I could just go look through the window of my room and praying there And also it made me realise that when I'm wathcing a biblical teaching on RU-vid it is a different thing than when I'm alone reading with Jesus haha so true What a so personnal message I got there, God is so powerful and thanks for your video mate

Hey it's me again lol. I finally know what I have to do. I was wrapped in the opportunity that Bible college presented. I thought "okay He's calling me to ministry, let me be obedient and take this big faith step. I need to prioritize Him." I had good intentions. Ministry college is great, of course, but I was too focused on not missing the opportunity I thought He was giving me and I lost sight of just Him. I finally learned to let go of that anxiety and instead enter into a season of just being with Him and learning how to be who and what He created me to be. I need to protect my peace. The step of faith that I need to take is not a grand one of moving across the country and involving myself in a new thing immediately after the current thing is over. The step I need to take is quiet obedience, offering myself as a living sacrifice. Like clay, I need to be be softened by His living water and allow Him to gently mold me into what I need to be. I need to be in a position to hear Him clearly and do what He wants me to do. Thank you for your videos Alex! God has used you to speak to me.

I relate. My current roles as a daughter, sister, friend, student, can push me away from alone time with God. Awesome video man!! I do have one question tho, so is it wrong or disrespectful to pray while sitting? I don’t pray sitting all the time but sometimes I’ll have a moment sitting on my bed overthinking and then I’ll just start praying or before I drive off to work I’ll be in my car praying. I obviously don’t mean no disrespect to God lol and surely don’t feel condemned when I sit and pray. Again I don’t only pray while sitting. There are moments when I need to be on my knees or stand tall and pray. But sometimes I pray sitting down.

This is an important video, and I thank you for addressing it. I want to point out one thing though they I thing is inaccurate and important theologically: around 8min, you say that Jesus spent three days in suffering and separation from God. I have come to understand that there are several different theological frameworks that people use to understand the Bible and I don’t know which camp you come from, but if you look at what Jesus said to the their on the cross, “TODAY, you will be WITH ME in paradise.” We can see that this is not accurate theologically. I don’t point this out to be a jerk, but only because I think it’s important. Again thank you for this video because I do think it’s important about protecting your peace. I wish this is something I understood sooner and realized I had the authority and the right to do. Thank you.
