The Product in Question (works but overpriced) amzn.to/3SR5vSM I liked this design better: amzn.to/4dO8rI8 REVIEW: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q_1DcuPOhiM.html
Strangely, when I tried applying the newly purchased spacers, the glass lens became marked from the plastic spacers! The spacers do not fit as expected. The plastic residue remains visible! 😥
Awesome! I just ordered them. I play without a faceplate for larger FOV and if I show anyone with glasses now, I won’t have to worry about putting the faceplate back on. Great idea!
Man i wish i had my hands on lenses protectors like 3 months ago. I work in store(Electronics ranging from TV, Phones, gaming, but also household appliances stuff like washing machines) and we have one unit of quest 3 that customers can try and test for free(Sometimes we use it if there are no customers) and after 3 months lenses are trashed. It's the only device we got approved by higher ups to be used by customers for testing and it's already beyond saving. Well, this quest 3 had rough life, it got ordered to our shop, during delivery it's box got destroyed by accident, someone put microwaves on top of quest 3 box. Headset had broken piece of plastic but we glued it back and it worked. But now because of scratched lenses it can't be saved. And since it was aproved to be tested by clients only because it was damaged(broken piece) we won't get replacement unit.
Jay, there is an option in the settings to turn off the proximity sensor. System -> Power -> Automatic Wake. I turned mine off after finding I couldn’t wipe the lenses without the quest turning itself on and off annoyingly.
Thanks for watching Jean! We work hard to make daily content so you can pick the right accessories for you and I'm glad that we're helping you do just that!!
Always informative! Thanks! What are the headphones? I watch content where you had tried several options. Seems like you're using the PSVR but in the video I watched it seemed like you didn't like that option and were waiting for something you like more for long-term use.
Thanks for watching Sean! These are still the VR Ears from this video I did awhile back: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F5CnZplGQTM.html Not ideal by any means but good enough for me to keep using it!
@@jaybratt Thank you Jay. I should have taken a few moments and re-watch that video before asking. The information you provide is always complete and on-point. My memory is a little lacking, your coverage is excellent.
Those puffy covers I always install upside down so the orientation is that the nose gap is at the top open to the sensor. The bonus to this is also that you can easily put your thumb or finger in the quest nose area and pull out the cover without even getting close to touching your lens so you dont need to clean them as often.
what is the facial interface u use the white ones, because im trying to find some good ones and im tired of the original interface bc i get bad achne from the sweat even if i clean them
I haven’t used the VR headset before, but I was wondering because I wear glasses my near sight is completely fine, but my Farsight is bad. Will I be OK not wearing glasses with VR since the lenses are so close to your eyes?
This is my personal recommendation that I admit is a touch pricey, but worth it EVERY time I pick up the headset. I end up talking about it damn near every time we do a product review 😂 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-33-6MUomEIw.html
@@jaybratt it has def been my least fav interface. it is very cheap feeling given it's 3D printed with barely any padding. additionally, the FOV increase isnt that noticeable and the padding is also just kinda gross and sticky. it's one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made (because I was so excited for it). The return process is a headache and I still havent heard back from them. It's been 3 weeks. Your Oblik review is the only review I've disagreed with. It's 90 bucks (I'd argue this is beyond a touch pricey) for a 3D printed interface that may or may not be a good fit, may have to be sent back and forth for adjustments, with sticky and thin padding. I wouldnt even think about using it with an elite strap due to a lack of padding. A perfect fit isnt even inherently good if youre someone who prefers more pressure on the forehead or more on the cheeks. I think these things should be considered before purchasing this interface and I hope those who do enjoy it much, much more than I did.
@jaybratt yea I've seen that one but my wife got rid of her iPhone and don't have anyone else with one haha 😅... i may try the kiwi one but idk or the one with the built in fan. Me and my wife share the quest 3 so it's not ideal for me to get an interface just for my face hers is so much different than mine hahaha
I'm sorry to hear that. I did mention the stickiness myself. What strap do you use? I also know the halo strap I use doesn't suck the interface into my face as hard so the padding isn't as necessary. I should definitely remind of that in my future talks about it because with a halo strap I feel like almost any facial interface is fine unlike with an elite or stock strap you really need the PERFECT interface.
Funny how you posted this right when my lenses magically had a weird blur at the bottom of my right lenses. But its not sun damage or scratch so I am confused
My prescription is so strong that my lenses are plastic on my glasses. How does that work if it hits the lenses on the quest 3? If you have the answer.
Anything that touches the lenses isn't great.. My recommendation for you would be to find some prescription lens inserts, that way there's no chance of damage AND you don't have to wear your glasses anymore. OR get these: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q_1DcuPOhiM.html so that at least you have a layer of protection and it's not hitting your lenses directly anymore.
@@jaybrattTHANK YOU!!! I will try those and look into getting a prescription set. I feel it's worth the investment. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Happy Wednesday!😊
@@marymdodana7625 I got mine from Zenni, but they don't lock in easily with magnets, they clip in. If you share your headset with others, go with magmatic lenses. No one else uses my headset, so my Zennis stay in and I love them.
imho stuff like this that just ads bumps is not really protective. And those blue light lenses are good, but it would be better if there was just normal protection without blue light filtering.
Jaybratt dont think we have forgotten about those new grips you seem to always have on your controllers now... I have noticed them for AGES and you still havent posted a review on them, or the new bobo ones. Also i just got the bobovr case today and its great but the ends of the zips are a little fiddly when switching to the display mode.
