Bill Stephens I’ve had a few of mine printed poster size at staples and they come out so cool(plus players love having a full sized map to use).

Does the lamination cause them to stay curled when removed from the tube? I ask because we used to laminate and roll our larger homemade maps, but the curling forced me to keep using the acrylic glass sheet to hold them flat on the table, which ended up negating one of the big reasons we laminated them (using wet-erase pens on them).

​@@SSkorkowsky Alas, yes that is true. But a way to handle that, and I stole this idea from a company that actually included this in their mats the name of which I forget because I saw it in a review video by WASD20, is to use the plastic spines that come with report covers. You just slide those on at or near the corners and that keeps it pretty flat and I can keep a set of 4 of those in the tube with the maps.

That's freakin brilliant! The curling has been my nemesis for a while, and that's such a nice solution. I'll definitely give that a try on my laminates maps. Thanks.

There was a Lankhmar box set that come out in the late 90's for 2e. Kind of a crappy box set, but the maps were very good. I was obsessed with Lankhmar back in the day, so I picked up almost every think TSR published for it.

How the hell did I miss that? In my collection; "Lankhmar: City of Adventure", "Swords of Deceit", "Swords of the Undercity", and "Thieves of Lankhmar". Must be one of the downsides of living Downunder.

Seth Skorkowsky I used the Lankhmar map for parts of the City of Greyhawk before TSR published their own.

Once we're done with more of the adventures, I'll be posting reviews for those (We're 75% through Seethers in Darkness at the moment). I'll want to get 1-2 more adventures under our belts before I'm ready to give a System review. In the meantime, here's my preliminary thoughts on it. We love it. My players prefer it over D&D, which surprised the hell out of me. The 2D20 system is kinda weird to get used to at first, but it really rocks once you get the hang of it. Originally, I'd told my players that I just wanted to take a quick dive into Conan, run 3-4 adventures, and then move on to something else. They wouldn't need to invest in books since it was only going to be a short campaign. After the first adventure, they now all have the Corebooks. I've never had that happen before. They really love the system. That being said, every single one of us has said that the Corebook is the most difficult and awkward corebook we've ever read. It's very bloated in places and much of it is written almost as if they expect that you already know the rules. So as a book designed to teach you rules, it does a poor job. They lack examples in many places and can spend two paragraphs explaining something that could be done in a sentence or two. It is not user-friendly. That only makes the learning-curve steeper. The Zones method for distance and range is goofy. Maybe if they gave more examples, it wouldn't come off that way, but I don't like it. We've gotten to where we work with it pretty well, but I think it's a pointless mechanic that adds far more confusion than benefit.

@@SSkorkowsky Thanks for the detailed response! I agree with the rulebook being unwieldy. I had to scour the Google+ community and read through blogposts to find some answers, and there's still things I'm unclear on. But hey, the art is gorgeous ;D That said, I found it incredibly easy to teach once I had a working understanding of the rules. I even introduced people who've never played RPGs to it, and they want more! Looking forward to your videos!

Mine lean there fine. It's a narrow gap behind the case, so there isn't much room for them to bend. Though, I suppose clip-style hangers could work if you wanted to hang them in a closet or the like.

Seth Skorkowsky That’s good. Once I put my maps in them (Greyhawk and Lankhmar) the sleeves were a little stiffer.
