would love to plant some when I get my own property! I commend the conservationists for risking their lives to save these trees.

I can remember working in a nursery 15 or more years ago & I was just learning about our Wollemi baby god I hope they get it together! This is worth sooo much to our planet, ecology & botanical history. How cool is this pine???

@@willd2156 I can’t verify but you may have done so… they’re available to Australian horticultural institutions & nurseries but I’ve rarely seen in gardens or native forest for now…. Go find one I dare you 😊 😘

Tried growing one in my garden in Darwin, Australia. Didn't like our hot and humid climate and died in it's first monsoon. Very sad.

‘The environment has become dryer and hotter’ Oops, NSW just had one of its wettest years on record and in 2022 reached its annual rainfall in only 3 months. I hope these folks don’t have science degrees.

Those two things are not mutually exclusive. In fact, heightened climatic extremes (erratic dry spells and sudden intense rainfall) have been part of the predicted effects of climate change for decades. The fact that there have been record breaking bushfires AND record breaking floods in just a year or two is only a testament to the climate’s instability. There is so much evidence for climate change (I’m assuming that’s what you’re mocking here since it’s really only implied). Please provide an argument that makes sense before calling into question the expertise of others.

Atmosphere maybe cooler, the oceans are getting warmer. That means more and heavier rainfall seen in Australia during the current La Niña spell.
