I grew up Presbyterian. I went to a Catholic Mass with a friend and never left. I am so thankful to God for planting a seed in me to desire the Catholic Church. I found home. ❤️
I was raised in a Southern Baptist church and never attended a Catholic Mass until I attended Catholic wedding and funeral Mass. I always felt that the churches I attended growing up were 70% about the sermon and about 30% music. Maybe 60/40, but anyway, I was just a spectator at a show or it felt like a lecture on the Bible with PowerPoint slide shows. Don't get me wrong, it's effective and it's where I was saved when I was 13. But when I attended Mass, I felt like a kid at Thanksgiving that got to sit at the grownups table. It just felt holy, reverent, ancient, and like something straight out of heaven. Protestants always say that Catholics don't have reverence for the Bible. Well, here comes this Deacon during the processional carrying this big, red book over his head with gold embossed lettering. At my Baptist church, you mostly sit. You stand a few times, shake some hands, and there's a lot of talking. Talking, before, during, and after the service. With Catholic Mass you sit, stand, kneel, come forward, go back, kneel, sit, stand some more. You have speaking parts, or responses. There's physical gestures, such as making the sign of the cross, beating your chest, making the sign of the cross over your forehead, lips, and chest before reading the gospel, there's bowing, and all the while there is silence. Before, during and after. Well, in between babies crying, because we don't have a "kid's church". Everyone from newborn to 105 is in the same Mass, because there's not a contemporary and traditional Mass. Just as I'm becoming a Catholic, I have in-laws wanting to leave the Church because they "aren't being fed spiritually". I told them I've been there, done that. You get comfy seats, friendly folks, and a good sermon. But you will be missing the physical body and blood of Christ. Enjoy the show! Good Protestants make Strong Catholics, Weak Catholics make Good Protestants.
Those Catholics who leave the Church are those who participate the least. That either do not attend Mass, or stand silent during the prayers and responses. The more you participate and go above and beyond the minimum the more the Church matters to you.
@@DavcramerI know Catholics who have left because of the sex scandals. Because so many bishops moved priests who were pedophiles from parish to parish, rather than report the offenders to law enforcement, they have lost their willingness to be part of the Church, and in some cases, their faith in God.
I have been to Catholic weddings and funerals. I get admonished, as a Protestant, to not take communion. For a church that claims to be universal, it seems to be like a country club that doesn't like guests. On the other hand, my denomination, the United Methodist Church, has the open table, which I believe is far more welcoming. It's like a public golf course.

@@CatholicTruthOfficial Hi, may I ask some resources to confirm that the Catholic Church is founded by Jesus? I'd really like to know more of this Church. Thank you in advance!
I'm a recent Catholic convert and I have to say this spoke very truly to me. Spent years of my life hopping from church to church because I wasn't fed, or I didn't like the pastor (who was the center focus) or I didn't like the music. My wife and I just realized we've been attending our Catholic Church longer than we'd attended any other church since we'd been married, and we have no reason to leave because everything is centered on the Word of God.
So glad to hear it! Welcome home! We hope and pray for God to continue to guide you both and we hope that our videos continue to teach and inspire you as new Catholics. God bless you.
I was raised in an American Baptist Church and said I identify as “just a Christian”. 😆thank God He used my boyfriend to bring me to His truth! Being confirmed in April❤️ Now I realize that nondenominational is such a silly concept, lol
hi Abby,I have to correct you in a loving way. You weren’t raised in an America Baptist church, but a Baptist cult. Jesus Christ founded but ONE Church the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH founded on the infallible Rock of Peter two millennia ago! Protestantism is man made not of God is 40,000 CULTS which are pagan! The Bible is a Catholic book the protestant Bible is an incomplete and corrupted Catholic book. Only Catholic’s go to Heaven! There’s NO salvation outside the holy Catholic Church. God bless. Praise Jesus and Mary always!!!
@@simonslater9024 Thank you for correcting me. I agree with you. Jesus has one Bride, the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church! 🙇🏼♀️🍞 American Baptist and all other denominations are in rebellion against the Church Jesus founded. I will only obey Him and His Church💕
@@simonslater9024 You mean founded by the Romans, The persecution and murder of people trying to Worship the Lord, Protestantism is not a cult but simply Churches of people worshiping the Lord is a way different from Lord in the end of the day as long as you truly repent and hunger for his word the it doesn't matter what denomination you are of The fundamental.
I suffered from reactive attachment disorder basically my entire life, 30+ years unable to love or be loved. It’s untreatable. Nothing in Protestantism helped, I looked for a decade. My first mass, at the consecration of the Eucharist, I felt loved for the first time in my entire life. I cried for an hour and a half, ugly cried, snot, tears. It was great.
Wow! Powerful testimony. Thank you for sharing. One of my most powerful healing moments was in front of the Eucharist during adoration. I cried for 45 straight minutes, ugly cry, and then got the gift of laughter for 45 minutes right after that. I felt so free, and light, and full of peace and love. It was so very healing. God bless you.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial because of my reactive attachment disorder and other circumstances in my childhood and life, I suffered for a long time in a way that is completely invisible to others. I carried that burden for a long time. Until Catholicism taught me to offer my suffering up for the salvation of souls. I gave it eagerly and God took it and I can forgive everyone involved and I no longer bear it’s burden. I also would do it again and again and again.
@Sonny Bruschetta 2nd Peter 3:16 “He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.” The only Catholics who buy what you are selling are extremely poorly Catechized, and have very little understanding of the Catholic faith, or they have some grudge against the Catholic Church. I also observe that Protestants who study actual history and the early Church Fathers see how Catholic the early Church was and become Catholic. They buy what the early Church fathers say because they are in such close proximity to the Apostles. They realize that there just is no life without the Eucharist just like Jesus said. They realize how Eucharistic the early Church was. The wide spread rejection of the Eucharist didn’t start until the early 16th century. What a devastatingly dangerous thing it is for a person to reject the Eucharist, It is Jesus Himself Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity actually physically present meant to be consumed by us so He can be totally United to us provided we are in a state of Grace when we receive Him. If we aren’t we have to go to a Sacramental confession to a Priest to be forgiven and absolved of any mortal sins we have. The Bible says there are sins that lead to death. The Eucharist is the medicine of immortality. There is nothing more important on the face of the Earth than the Eucharist, It is how we get to Heaven. I couldn’t go without receiving Jesus in the Eucharist everyday. When you stray from and reject the Eucharist you end up with Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide. You go to buildings in malls where they have rick concerts, smoke, and laser shows while you drink coffee then listen to a 45 minute sermon. There is nothing remotely Christian about any of it. Absolutely nothing about these rock concerts followed by a 45 minute sermon was practiced in the early Church. This stuff evolved out of Luther and Calvin, not from Jesus or the apostles.
@J The Catholic Church is not a denomination. Denominations came about when Luther and Calvin and others broke away from the Catholic Church, the very church that Jesus started. So the Catholic church is pre denominational. And since it was started by Jesus himself, it is the fullness of Truth. We agree though that we should take pride in Christ, but also should love his Church which is his bride.
@J The Catholic Church was still started by Jesus and therefore has His authority and the fullness of truth. Luther was excommunicated because he was already breaking away from the church by inventing new doctrines, traditions of men, and stubbornly clinging to them.
@@dannydoughboy120 Martin Luther loved the catholic church. He never wanted to leave it. The abuses by the pope and the rest of the "holy" abusers was what Luther wanted to change. Luther wanted the church to follow scripture. Luther had his issues too; I'm not saying that he was perfect because he was far from it. I'm a former catholic who now follows and worships GOD the Father, GOD the Son and GOD the Holy Spirit ALONE. I pray only to GOD and I ask GOD for help. That's what Luther wanted for the church. The church of GOD the Son still exists today....and it's not what the catholic church is now.
I was born in a Catholic family and went to Catholic schools even my post grad as a professional, I was in a Catholic institution. My family never missed the Sunday mass and etc. The Catholic teachings were not imposing and aggressive and I never heard not once a Catholic saying bad stuff about any religion rather I felt Catholics being attacked more. As I grow older, my life experiences had drawn me closer to my Catholic beliefs and having a relationship with Jesus is indeed a personal thing . I am so grateful having found Jesus on my own and being in the Catholic faith is my most wonderful blessing in this lifetime ! I shall never ever let a pastor dictate my relationship with Jesus. Only Jesus - I follow him ! There is absolutely NO ONE, who can make me stop praying the Holy rosary and forget to venerate Mama Mary. JESUS wants us to love His mother. If you truly love Jesus , you will also love His mother. Anyone who ask you to stop praying the rosary - is diabolic. They said the the Catholic priests and the pope are sinners and they won't follow them. And I agree that they too are sinners, even I am a sinner, just like all their pastors too. We do not follow the Pope rather we follow God's words . It is ONLY GOD who can judge the pope and the priests - they too are human. Their purpose is serve God - and help people be closer to God but they too are not perfect. One Judas, cannot make me leave my Catholic faith.
The key that brought me back to the Catholic Church was and still is the Eucharist. While In the evangelical world I participated in many cracker and grape juice communion services. Out of all those communion services not one was consistent, didn’t know if the elements were a token or a symbol. I always felt like something was missing, those communion services were so incomplete and void. Of course the missing factor was and is the Body and Blood , Soul and Divinity of Jesus. After my returned I went to confession and went thru and confessed as much as I could remember of forty years of being away from The Church. I ask the Priest if I was able to receive Jesus in the Eucharist and of course he said I could. What I found a bit strange when I re-received my first communion agai were the tears as I approached Jesus in the Eucharist. For some time after that I would tear up wondering what was happening. Simply put, I came back to that which was and still is missing in the evangelical communion services, Jesus in his completeness, The Eucharist.
I am a catholic since birth and i became slack with my works for God. And i hope it will happen to you too that someone will come to remind us that we need to push through our faith. Guess what, that person is not even a catholic but a muslim. Remember that God and his son Jesus is watching us. He does things in mysterious ways. The Catholic church is giving more teachings other than what is written on the Bible for us to fully understand what God wants us to do. Miracles are shown by God. Bible though by fully understanding and applying it on your ways is enough for salvation. But lot of people does not believe unless they have seen or experienced it.
As an episcopalian convert would be more amazing to you and your husband seriously becoming catholic as one catholic prelate said delayed obedience is a disobedience, therefore beginning becoming catholic is the now or never by Grace.

The protestant professes faith, & may get baptized, but does not receive the body & blood per the early church fathers. 3 conditions of our faith to salvation.
The catholic faith actually does that too because Mary is not in heaven. Mary is in hell and you need to stop praying to her. Mary tried to abort Jesus and failed.
Almost 30 yrs ago, I entered a Catholic Church with my fiancé and fell in love with it immediately. Several years later after finishing RCIA I decided to leave Islam & follow my Lord Jesus Christ. Ever since we have been involved in pretty much every aspect of the church life and I totally agree with the brother in this video & can not imagine attending a church where Eucharist is not available.

@@daddada2984 There's much more abuses in Church of England than in Holy Catholic Church. Also, is sola Scriptura in the Bible? Or sola fide? Or other heretical nonsenses? No! What of Catholic teaching is against Bible? Ya heretics say that mass is not sacrifice, even though Christ said that it is sacrifice. So shut up.
@@daddada2984 , well then, sir, let me just do the honors of telling you that not everything that Jesus did was all written and could not possibly all be written. This is what the Bible itself tells us. In the apostle John’s gospel, this is how he ended up his gospel. It’s in the last verse of the last chapter of the Gospel according to John 21:25. What a way to end up his gospel to send that message, don’t you think so? Considering that the Gospel according to John is one of the last books written in the New Testament, alongside 1 John, 2 John, 3 John and the Book of Revelation - written probably in the last decade of the 1st century, as per Biblical scholars’ study. So this gives us an idea that everything about what might the earliest Christians have believed - that are not written in the Bible - might just be the reason why we believe certain things today that are not explicitly stated in the Bible but also might just be implied therein. This is the reason why Sola Scriptura is wrong and an error. It is actually illogical and at the same time unbiblical. And if you’re going to have a deep study of Christian history, you will find out that it is also unhistorical. As to religious sexual abuses and scandals, don’t you have any idea that in the United States of America alone, there are actually more cases of religious sexual abuses in American Protestant churches than in the American Catholic Church? Quite a surprise? This is the result of a study initiated and conducted by a group of American Protestant experts themselves who concluded that the problem of religious sexual abuses is not actually an issue of celibacy, but that sexual abuse is a human and social disease prevailing in all dimensions of human society, and that religious sexual abuses in the Catholic Church are unfairly hyped and not unique in the Catholic Church. And if you don’t believe this, you can actually google this up. So these might just help you have an open mind. God bless and peace be with you.
@@daddada2984 , ooops!!! wait a second... Before you start ranting about Catholicism, you should address the two issues that you poked here: - 1st, so where does it say in the Bible that everthing you need to believe about Jesus and what the apostles have taught is or are all written in the Bible, that everything you need to believe upon are all in the Bible? - And 2nd, I am challenging you to prove that religious sexual abuses only happen alone in the Catholic Church! YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE TWO ISSUES THAT YOU HURLED HERE FIRST, AND YOU HAVE TO GIVE US COMPELLING ANSWERS AND EVIDENCE, BEFORE YOU START PREACHING YOUR OWN GOSPEL AND MAKE US ALL BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS FAKE IN CATHOLICISM!!!
@@daddada2984 the word catholic was used by the early christians who made the bible which was compiled by catholic bishops Just because something is not in the bible doesn't mean it's man made Any bible verse like maccabees which proves purgatory also proves indulgences Catholics don't worship mary show me where in our catechism it says worship anyone other than God Pedophilia is just Satan trying to destroy the catholic church reputation So yeah the catholic church is the church of Jesus Christ
I was raised an atheist, and converted to Christianity at age 32, when I discovered it is impossible for the ten commandments to be the law of Moses, thus protestant and catholic be bogus from the start. How the catholics don't know this, or do? After all, it's undeniable by the scripture they canonized.
@johnsteila6049 When you read Mathew 4:4, at the beginning of the new testament, you either read it and just go on, or discern what it means. It means humanity will live by the ten commandments. If you think it means something else, please explain. All laws given to Moses, were in private, ie. no one else heard. So how does humanity live by every word, if only Moses heard them? Moses wrote it all down, however, by the rest of the new testament, the law of Moses, is done away. So, if humanity is to live by every word done away, how is humanity supposed to live? By the only words heard by anyone other than Moses, the ten commandments. God didn't give Moses the commandments. Moses only documented God speaking, and being heard by the entire 12 tribes, declaring the ten commandments, thus, not through Moses but by the voice of God, to many, thus, Mt. 4:4. In Mt. 22:36-40, you read loving God, and neighbor, is all the law, the only law, according to Christ. Show us your specific list of how to love God please. I will show mine after I see it.
@@eltonron1558 I don’t have a list of how to love God, I never made any such claim. If your point is that The Bible contains contradictions or impossible mandates, then I agree..
@johnsteila6049 My point, is Mathew 22:36-40, is the ten commandments voiced as two by Christ. A specific list of how to love God with all heart, mind, soul, and strength, is easy for the truly converted. 1. I will have no other God's before me. 2. I will not use, or revere graven imagery. 3. I will not use his name in vain. 4. I will observe his sanctified holy Sabbath in gratitude and love. My point ,is the vast majority of professing Christianity will have nothing to do with at least two of the commandments, because they think it's the law of Moses, done away, yet by Christ NOT. So, catholic or protestant, lives in a contradiction to their own scripture. You too? Why?
If you "were" to be born again? The Bible itself teaches you "must" be born again (St. John 3:3). "Marvel not that I have said you must be born again" (St. John 3:7). If you have not been "born from above" as taught in St. John 3, you are lost in your sins and are deceived if you think you can be saved in any other way. "It is by grace you have been saved, through faith it is the gift of God, not through works lest anyone should boast" (Eph. 2:8,9). "Marvel not, you MUST be born again". Check the Holy Scriptures for yourself and choose such a great salvation (Heb. 2:3).

100% - everything you said here! I separated myself from the Catholic Church at a time when I was hurting the most. But after going through several churches, I went back to THE Church and realised that what I truly need was sill waiting for me in our holy Church. I will say that some of the Protestant churches that I went to do have some amazing social programs (healing ministries and youth programs come to mind) and people who are very passionate about or Lord. I believe that they actually started me on my way BACK. But there is none that touches me as much and means as much to me as the Catholic Church. I definitely feel very spiritually fed since I have returned and I'll never separate myself from it again.
Great. Wonderful, Brian. I appreciate your zeal and enthusiasm in presenting the Catholic truth as forcefully as possible. We need more people like you to defend and propagate the Catholic faith. God bless you and your listeners.
Anything outside of the church just simply feels watered down and insufficient. So proud to be a Catholic, going to continue to fight to defend the one true apostolic Church of Jesus Christ
If I watched this 6 months ago, when it was posted, I would tell you that I have been researching about Catholics, and I have contemplated going back to God. I attended my first mass a few short weeks from Easter Sunday. I shook violently with nerves, but I wasn't the same after the service. First, time felt like it was faster and slower at the same time. It didn't feel like it wasted any part of your day. It felt like 1 hours worth of material were discussed in less than 30 minutes. The mass felt like a pulsing heart. Then I hear devotionals about the Sacred Heart and that truly sticks with me. It's warm, inviting, and you feel like Christ is actually there and everyone could see him. I have been hooked since then, and I can't wait for the next mass.
I used to be a Baptist Christian in my pre-teen years but I had to walk away because it didn't feel right. I was practicing witchcraft just to feel something real. Faith is key to me as a person. I don't know how to handle living without a divine leading us. After years of being away from God, I felt the urge but I was scared. What if he decided that I didn't deserve a space in heaven? That was my biggest fear. I took a deep breath and walked in to the parish, even if it took all the courage I had. I don't regret a single thing because this is how I imagined a church should be. I'm slowly weaning my family to the church with books, bibles, a personal prayer table and a couple of rosaries. My prayer table has 2 crosses, a rosary, some books on the bottom shelf, my RCIA class worksheets and a couple of quarts crystals that I prayed over to bless. I'm succeeding ever so slowly. My fiancé is atheist but he goes to some mass sessions with me. He has some issues about the church still, but that's because of misconceptions, but he is starting to understand why I enjoy the church so much. Thats my testimony.
After leaving the Church as a teenager I ended up in a fundamental Bible church as an adult that was definitely scripture only and study & memorization was greatly incouraged. "Study to show thyself approved..", however I would hear that this person on the radio isn't preaching biblical or that church isn't or I have to dress a certain way to be a "member"...I studied,&prayed as I was greatly incouraged, put Proverbs 3:5-6 in practice and went back to the Church. Every thing you are explaining, I've seen or lived. Praise God im home

I left to attend an Assemblies of God after I left a Capuchin Friary. The people were great, the lack of substance, not so much. It was more like attending a Christian music concert. No substance or depth. I've since returned home, brought my family back to the Catholic Church and am now pursuing being a Deacon. God will always bring you back to Truth if you listen to him!
I guess it is to each his own. I am in RCIA at the current moment. I had been to a couple of different denominations, Baptist, Anglican, Pentecostal, and Non denominational. Each time, I went after about a year, or less, I would fall away. I felt like everyone at these churches met me at my level of Biblical knowledge. In other words, like I was spiritually immature and had never picked up a Bible before in my life. I always felt stupid and less "anointed" than the rest. As hard as I tried, I couldn't get closer to Jesus and always felt discouraged. Eventually, a Catholic friend of mine gave me a rosary and I decided to start praying it. EVERYTHING changed after that. I am so close to Jesus and keep getting closer. I have a deeper understanding of the Gospels, and just everything about Christianity. I can't imagine being anything other than Catholic!

When a Protestant, ends up church hopping, because they claim their not being fed; they’re on to something, even if they don’t realize it. What they desire, on some level, is to be joined to Christ in a real way. They’re searching for the Eucharist. ❤️
If somebody isn’t fed in Catholic Church then he don’t understand heck about catholicism. I get goosebumps on Holy Mass or during Rosary meditation. We need to pray for more of God’s help for such people.

When I was a non-denominational, contemporary Protestant, I attended a military chapel with four pastors. Every one of them had to walk on eggshells around the others because none of them agreed: a staunch Southern Baptist, a free-will Baptist, a black Baptist, and a female chaplain. I eventually had to take copious notes during sermons to see if the sermons were drifting from the Bible. The music was good, but again, I always had to be on guard because many of the songs are shallow (hardly mentioning God), irreverent ("Reckless Love"), or flat-out wrong. Enter the Catholic Church, where priests may disagree but continue to stay united, homilies are short and have little bearing on the Mass, and the songs are specifically chosen, with many coming straight from Scripture (Vine and Branches, anyone?). Even now, due to Corona, our parish has people come in two services, alternating between Saturday night and Sunday morning (since it's military, we have to share with Protestants on Sunday), and there's no choir on Saturday nights -- but it is still just as spiritually deep.
Maybe you should check out the channel Sensus Fidelium. The traditional priests are outspoken and carry themselves like men. Traditional Catholic priests are the real deal. They aren’t afraid to speak up and speak the truth. And watching them and all they do makes you understand that it takes a real man to be a priest.
Thank you Holy Spirit for guiding me to this beautiful video. Thank you Catholic Truth and God bless you all that makes these videos really a big help and truly inspirational. Amen 🙏🏼.
Only a couple of months ago, I was listening to a Pentecostal service, and the Pastor said, “ I am only as good as my last sermon” If he fails to perform or entertain, then they leave in droves to other churches. Greetings from Wales. (IESU BENDIGEDIG). Wonderful Jesus.
Thank you so much for all your hard work on the channel! I came home to the Church that Jesus Christ actually started 2 1/2 years ago after preaching in Protestant Groups for nearly 40 years. I Pastored in the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) , the Association of Vineyard Churches, the Emergent Church movement and lastly in the Anglican Church of North America. I now see my participation in what I now call “Church as Entertainment Ignighted” as a grave error in the formation of the Vineyard Movement in the early 80’s. Trying to make a public meeting “culturally current” is problematic because quite frankly Culture Norms move too fast and can be rooted in ungodly belief systems. True Spiritual Food and Spiritual Drink can only be found in the most precious Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. Thanks be to God for His Mercy in all of the twists and turns of my life that eventually led me to the Catholic Church. Once again thanks for this ministry.
Wow! Praise God! Thank you for sharing your witness with us. And we're thankful to Jesus for bringing you home the fullness of Truth. Welcome home! Maybe someday if you would like, you can share your testimony on our podcast. It sounds like a good story. May God continue to lead you and guide you. God bless.

Highly educated, folks who were usually part of a Mainline Protestant Denominations in their past. As far as I know they have never interviewed anyone who was a Leader in the Vineyard Church Movement or a Leader in what some have called The Emergent Church. Which is really just Liberal and I don’t mean Generous Protestantism in a Evangelical friendly package. There has been some contact between myself and The Coming Home Network via their Chat Platform. It did not turn out well for me in that I had a hard time agreeing with some of the things which were being discussed which were more rooted in Bible Belt Culture than the Christian Faith. Portlandia and it’s cultural norms and expectations are quite different than the Bible Belt. Hindsight being 20/20 I really should not have engaged as I really am a Rookie when it comes to being a Catholic. Some in their Chat Platform had a hard time dealing with my language that they found offensive so I thought it was best to just bow out and delete myself as if I was never there. These were things that happened now about 2 years ago and again I was barely getting my “sea legs” so to speak in the Catholic World which is totally different in so many ways than where I had come from. Keith Nester wrote a book about such things.
hi. you should talk to an ex catholic who became protestant and ex protestant who became catholic.. that would be a really good discussion and help see both sides without bias :) it would be quite informative.
My experience is similar to yours. I'm a Catholic convert in a new city. Catholics are not the most friendly people and finding a new parish to call home has been very discouraging. Parishioners tend to stick to themselves and/or rush off after Mass and it's been impossible to find friends. We Catholics could really learn from our Protestant brethren about being welcoming and ensuring everyone is able to connect and find community.
We agree. What city are you in? If you are up north, it will probably be more difficult since people appear are colder and keep more to themselves. Down South they are much more friendly even in the Catholic churches. I happen to live up North in the coldest of the cold areas. And I'm not talking weather wise, haha.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial I am in the UK, where people (both north and south) seem to be rather inward and unsocial! So I'm doing my best to be upbeat and open.
I grew up in Protestant Churches and converted to Catholicism. I’ve found much more hospitality in Catholicism. Your experience may be a result of where you live. Are you in the north east?
I've only been to a few mass services so far. I came from a background of baptist that went from traditional to contemporary worship over 20 years ago. I've also had my stretch of non denominational churches. Traditional Baptist as well as others would focus on the message. Contemporary is about an even mix of praise music vs sermon. Depending on where you go of course. One thing I really like about mass better is the segmentation of the mass. There is a lot going on in a hour or so. Additionally I really like the quietness and reverence. What really struck me was how many people I saw praying and kneeling when I was there the the first time. I truly felt like I was in a holy place.
So many people that I know that left the Catholic Church say that they get the Bible and Scriptures are not read at the Mass. NOT. NOT. We had a sort of seminar called “ Mass to Mission “. And I went to serve at an Aries weekend. The final Mass the usual Mass ordinarily takes about 35-45 minutes. This priest took the time to explain everything from his preparation for the Mass to every vestment he puts on. Every thing used in the Mass from the light to all the other things related to altar and Chalice was explained and all the blessings. He explained every single prayer and reading from the Bible and every blessing explained. This Mass took almost 2 hours. I am cradle Catholic. I got a wonderful lesson. What a huge blessing. It was another awakening for me. I believe that we brought at least 99% of these fallen away Catholics back to the Catholic Church and possibly the same in conversion to Catholicism. It was awesome. I was in tears of joy. It was most definitely not boring at all. This was the perfect priest to do this. He was so filled with the Holy Spirit. Evangelization to the millionth degree 🙏❤️❤️💕💕❤️❤️😇😇
This is excellent. This was my experience when I went to a non-denominational church and it was nice - but it felt like a concert. It didn’t feel or look holy. I know we all love Jesus- but they are mimicking the secular world. They look more and more like concert stages. It’s more like a mega social club.
Hi just to let you know there’s NO such thing as a non-denominational church because Jesus Christ founded but ONE Church two millennia ago! Protestantism is man made not of God is 40,000 CULTS which are pagan! The Bible is a Catholic book the protestant Bible is an incomplete and corrupted Catholic book. Only Catholic’s go to Heaven! God bless. Praise Jesus and Mary always!!!
Have you ever been to an Anglican Church, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, etc.? The congregation discussed here is only one style. After the "concert" and worship was over, did you listen to the sermon/message?
@@johnc.8298 the message wasn’t based on the Bible as a whole. They take on passage and preach on it for hours. They don’t read the whole passage and that’s why a lot gets taken out of context.
Great video!! God bless!!🙏🙏 I am currently enrolled in the RCA to become catholic and what you said is what I felt before choosing what church to follow!
2020 pandemic restrictions made it so difficult to be present on Sunday mass.😢 Personally, I found a HUGE difference between watching mass online and being able to participate in the Eucharist. I always felt that it's not the same without taking the Body of Christ. The spiritual hunger is real for me. But now that they're easing restrictions, I'm now able to take the Eucharist and I feel whole again. 🙏❤
Many people found it difficult. While different, my wife and I trued to put the same reverence and fervent prayer at home as at church. We hope you can go back soon. May God be with you and bless you.
I feed my spiritual hunger by being in the word and praying and worshiping Jesus. Also by being around other believers. That is my favorite thing. I'm not catholic either.
During Covid seasons, i never stopped going to mass , i thought to myself the sick, the lame, deaf or blind go to Jesus while he was on earth and He bless them and healed them, can He not do the same at the holy mass? I understand there’s precautions that we must do for the sake of others. But how much Faith and trust we have in Jesus?
This is what I do experience. I am spritually fed in the catholic church. More, at home, the tradition of faith practice of the catholicism leads me to live a chtistian life
I’ve been to hundreds of Protestant services where there were no Bible verses used as the basis for the sermon. It was pastors opinions, and now it’s all politics and American nationalism.
I went to a variety of Protestant churches for over 65 years and never felt spiritual until I started being drawn to the Catholic Church. Protestant services are just a few songs and a sermon and goodby till next Sunday and only a simplified cheap communion every 3 - 6 months. Catholic Church offers so much more, mass everyday, saints, liturgy, rosary, tons of beautiful prayers, and endless ways of worshiping God, sacraments, sacramentals, and seemingly endlessly on and on
I spent over thirty years in charismatic churches and I’m telling you that there is no food like the Eucharist. The only satisfaction is with the Mass; everything else is a distraction.
Bryan, your courage is simply inspiring. I truly appreciate all the effort you put forth to speak the truth calling out all the falsehood practiced by these unorthodox churches. I think most of us here know very well the hours of research one needs to put in to produce pure content for all truth seekers. May Our lord Jesus Christ together with Mary Our Mother and the Saints especially the ones who died for the truth continue to intercede for you. Thank you again Bryan
Catholic revert here. Got lead out of the Church by some well meaning people. Lost the Eucharist for 13 years and church hopped between 6 different churches. Finally got fed up and God led me back to the His church, the Catholic Church. I now treasure the mass and the Eucharist like never before.
I am a returning Catholic spent forty years in the full gospel evangelical world. What the full gospelers say is full Gospel is when a preacher reads a few passages from the Bible. He then preaches for 45 minutes to an hour, the length of preaching is the determining factor in being full Gospel. Of course you get in a Kenneth Copeland meeting then you’re looking at an hour and a half or two hours. At the end of one his preaching sessions it’s forgotten what passages he read from. This video describes the evangelical world perfectly.
Reversion to catholic 2 years ago... best decision ever! Wow!! Like sanctification on steriods if one follows the traditional teachings. The bible comes alive!
True worship is what Jesus instituted at the Last Supper- the first Mass. This is also the Mass seen in Revelations. True worship is thus the Catholic Mass celebrated in the Catholic and Orthodox Church. The only true worship!!
@@CatholicTruthOfficial one of the main premises protestant used against our dogma. Some are desperately yruing to keep this up, they are so desparete to keep this LIE as a false truth in the face of society. Hmmm. Huehue
true worship and the fullness of truth exists only within the one holy catholic and apostolic church . and the orthodox church is not a part of this church , just to make it clear . though the orthodox community just like other protestant communities can have some MARKS of the church but they are not inside the church established by jesus christ . for that one must be in communion with the sovereign pontiff , the successor of st peter and the vicar of christ . to say communities outside the church are inside the church is to go against the canons and dogmas of the holy mother church .
Excellent explanation about the Catholic vs Protestant perspectives. I've been doing exactly what you said... I was raised Catholic, then left RC and became a luke warm non practicing Christian, then about 8 years ago a situation occurred which led me back to practicing my faith in Jesus through born again Christianity, then venturing to the Baptist church, but after becoming more informed about Catholicism I have started to come back to the Catholic church ( not only praying to Jesus but also )..., going to confession via a priest , and having the body and blood of Christ at mass, and really studying the word of God through reading the Bible ( RSVCE, ESVCE, NAB, KJV 1611 ) , delving into the Catechism of the Catholic church, praying to Mary , the saints, and all the Angels to intercede for for me and my family, and seeing the Catholic Church with new eyes and understanding how amazing it really is.... ( not to mention watching youtube videos on the Catholic faith ) .
Awesome! Wow, what a journey! Praise God do that your eyes were opened in your leg back stronger than ever. Thank you Lord! Thank you for sharing your testimony with us. It's amazing how many people have been sharing their testimonies about coming back to Catholicism. Count on our prayers. If we can help in any way, let us know. God bless you.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial Thankyou so much for your reply. Yes indeed, I am using the information from your uploaded videos ( and other Catholic sites, and Bible study ) and subtly conveying the messages about the deuterocanonical books, Mary, Confession, faith and works, tradition etc. on my good Baptist friends ... Its amazing how little they know about these matters ( I was in this position previously ). The more I learn from the Catholic faith, the more I want to learn. Now I can see how the Protestant world ( from my past with born again Christians, and Baptists ) how it is like a car , where the wheels have been removed, all the car ornamentation has gone, and there is NO DRIVER? .... Coming back to Catholic Christianity, I am enjoying the fullness , and holistic approach to worship. I missed the God inspired art and reminders of Jesus on the cross, Mary, The saints / martyrs, the angels, the style of worship, confession to a priest, and of course the true body and blood of Jesus Christ in communion. I still frequent Baptist church but it is secondary to my Catholic worship, purely because of the friends i have made in the Baptist world. I am currently waiting for my rosery beads from Roman Catholic Gear, and I intend to start praying the rosery soon,,, God be with you
AMEN! brother There is more worship; more veneration for the word of God; the Eucharist and prayer than any protestant church I have attended. I used to say the same things and went from church to church for YEARS! The problem for me was everybody was their own authority and everybody preacher spent more time talking about themselves or using snippets of gospel to support some mystical or worldly idea. I returned after my search brought me to the authority in history of Christianity. 2000 years of history. I was amazed when I returned to the Roman Catholic Church of how beautiful the sacraments are and how much I missed that aspect of my faith. I am so grateful to God for drawing me back to His Church on earth w/love
It’s my belief that one day all Christians will be United within the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Glory to Jesus Christ and love for my Orthodox and Protestants brothers and sisters of all stripes (denominations), everywhere. Even if you don’t love us, we love you anyways and may God bless and keep you.
Thank you very much, another one to testify that the true worship is the Catholic. Am so happy to know that. I am so true to this faith, and still gave me more and more strength to carry it on...
Great job Bryan, you always pack a lot of info into a short video! Protestant "churches" don't even have altars. Original altars were always places of sacrifice. Many were built on the very spot were people were martyred for their faith. Catholic altars have relics in them as a continuation of the sacrifices that saints made for the faith. Anything else is just a table.
We agree! Thank you. Just as a clarification, most Protestant churches don't have authors. Some of the more traditional ones like Anglicans do. But they are the minority. Thanks for watching and God bless you!
@@CatholicTruthOfficial I was "persuaded" to attend a nondenominational service a couple of years ago. Part of what I heard was "Put your sins on the altar and thank Jesus for taking them!" I thought two things: first, what altar? and second, if this is all it takes, no wonder society is a mess!
LOL, yes. I've heard so many different things in Protestant churches. One thing Protestants have said when they come to my Bible study, is that they like how Catholics acknowledge sin and don't just sweep it away so easily. They deal with it, work on it, and try to root it out of their life.
hi Julie,Protestantism is man made not of God is 40,000 CULTS which are pagan! Jesus founded but ONE Church the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH on the infallible Rock of Peter two millennia ago! The Bible is a Catholic book the protestant Bible is an incomplete and corrupted Catholic book. There’s NO salvation outside the holy Catholic Church. Only Catholic’s go to Heaven! God bless. Praise Jesus and Mary always!!!
Didn't Jesus say there would come a time where we would not worship God in temples, but in spirit and in truth? What does that have to do with an altar or a table?
@@johnsteila6049 Where does it say I can use a lawn mower? , or indoor plumbing? What do all these things have in common? They have nothing to do with what we are talking about. I mean, no one tells me to use water to take rust off of my metal engine but its just isn't gonna work. Same with the above. You can call Mary the Mother of the church and pray to her, but the prayers will fall on def ears. It doesn't make it true. My view however? Is ALL guided by instruction from Jesus. Where does it say to pray directly to the Father? SEVERAL places! Where does it say the mediator between man and God is? Several places! Where does it say Mary is one of those mediators? NO WHERE So since we DO have instruction on this very subject and she is not involved in any of those instructions, It's a good logical step to continue to leave her un-involved in those matters . She's a sister in Christ, She is no mediatrix, queen, mother of church ,etc.
I am a protestant and I've been watching the mass on you tube from several parishes and watching Bishop Barrons pod casts , I have been so blessed and spiritually fed by the true gospel that Christ instituted 2000 yrs ago , I realize I'm being fed spiritual junk food at the protestant church I currently attend !
@ Alan Doughty, that's so great to hear! Praise God for that! I'm glad you have been blessed and feel spiritually fed. I pray that you can go in person someday as well. And even perhaps try a Latin Mass at one point. That's amazing as well but in a different way. Thanks for tuning in to our Channel. May God bless you.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial I actually have been to a mass , it was the Easter vigil mass at the Basillica of St peter and St Paul in the city where I live , I absolutely loved it , it felt like the Holy spirit was so close , even though I'm not Catholic it felt like the worship was much deeper and definitely more reverent , which I like
@@CatholicTruthOfficial I have thought about it , but I come from a strictly protestant background , but recently have found myself dis agreeing with a lot of the theology I've been taught and what I've been told about Catholics over the years !
I truly enjoy the worship at my church which is non-denominational. It lasts roughly an hour and is mixed with prayers for others and praise for our Lord.
Hi Anthony, thanks for your comment. Concerning the Catholic Mass, it is all about one thing: The Eucharist. I invite you to give Catholicism a solid try. Study it and ask as many questions as you want. As a Catholic, we have an understanding that the Holy Mass is the summit for our mode of worship. Please let us know if you need anything else. God bless!
