If the electricity is lacking for reasons that the authorities cannot help, that would be weird, but few kilometers from Zaporozhye city there is a huge power plant in Russian hands that was supplying Ukraine before Ukraine prevented its operation. In short, because Russia regards people of this city as "their people", it could well help. So there is not-so-hidden anti-war aspect in the protests.

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity. In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas. If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy. Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns. 20th September, 2021: Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO. NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion. I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written. I wouldn´t read too much into these protests. The people are suffering from the heat, but can´t use ventilators or AC due to the power outtages. The food supply chain is also affected by it. So since these people can´t stay inside due to the heat, they may as well show the degree of their desperation and suffering, in the hopes that the government will change the situation somehow. That doesn´t mean they are protesting against Selensky´s government per se, thogh there are many ethnic Russians living in the region who wouldn´t mind to be part of the Russian Federation. Keep also in mind that Selensky´s government is in a moral and practical predicament: It can either provide electricity to the railway network and ensure the supply to the frontlines or it can supply electricity to the civilians and mitigate their suffering. Which one should it chose? For the moment, it prioritizes the frontlines. Would it be an option to retreat from a number of areas, cut the power supply to there and thus save enough engergy to keep the remaining areas supplied with electricity?
With traffic lights out, people are blocking intersections by walking around and around the crosswalks. That's technically legal. But Dima reports the crowds are selectively allowing traffic through. Peaceful protesters have done this before in other countries, where it's normally dispersed without fuss by a large number of traffic and crowd control police. Then you just station a pair at the intersection to direct traffic. 👉Those mild protests have demonstrated Ukrainian cities no longer have sufficient crowd control police to call upon.👈

I really like this channel. It seems to be very informative, but it never gives up anything new or nothing. New ever happens just footholds footholds, and the truth of the matter is that the Russians are not moving anything substantial they haven’t managed to capture any substantial cities or villages is just a bunch of reports about mass mass killings if half of what the report about the Ukrainian losses were true they would be no human beings left in Ukraine. I personally want to thank President Putin. NATO was a couple of years ago a patient on life support, barely alive. And now, on Its 75th birthday, fully back alive, vibrant, healthy and growing in importance and strength. This completely due to the brilliant farsighted policies, strategic vision and initiative of President Putin. I therefore hope that for this he gets a medal. May, with Putin’s approval, forever NATO remain strong, prosperous and even further increase in importance.
