Prototype | Halo Legends Reaction | HALO LEGENDS 

Something a lot of more casual fans don't know - the Prototype suit would not die here. At least not in terms of concept. Pay close attention to the weapon systems, namely the minigun and rocket pods. The data and concepts involved in this project would eventually be combined with another and go on to become the Mantis mech we see used in Halo 4, 5 and Halo Wars 2. And no, Cole's backstory is a bit different. You've got bits and pieces but they're out of order. Cole was enlisted as a crewman in the UNSC Navy and basically worked his way up through the ranks to rear admiral before retiring during the Insurrection years, and was brought back into service during the initial battles with the Covenant at Harvest. During that time the man would quickly establish rules of engagement and actually manage to contest the Covenant despite an overwhelming technological disadvantage, and it would be during this time that the Cole Protocol would be written with the understanding that if the Covenant found Earth the UNSC would be incapable of stopping them. During the following years Cole would be the ONLY officer to really find any measure of success against the Covenant in naval engagements, culminating in a final battle around Psi Serpentis which was a gas giant. Man would inflict insane casualties on the Covenant while barely losing any ships of his own - a feat practically unheard of at this point - through some clever navigational tricks that I believe would go on to later inform the Keyes Loop, with the battle concluding as Cole launched enough nukes to transform the brown dwarf into a momentary star, eliminating the Covenant fleet. Odds are that he survived, too, ONI projecting something like an 80% confidence that he just went into hiding with the detection of a slipspace jump from inside the brown dwarf moments before detonation.

In addition to rescinding his statement, he also asked for Ghost to be listed as "Missing in Action", not Killed in action, even though it was obvious he had died. This was a subtle nod that the commanding officer wanted him honored as if he was an unofficial spartan for his heroic actions. "Spartans never die, they just go Missing in Action."

Was a Ghost. Became Human. Died has a Spartan.

Halo origins just proves we need a quality anime covering the human covenant war

Ghost being declared *"MIA"* is just the most badass thing he could earn as a soldier. Because being declared *"MIA"* is something the UNSC do for Spartans when they fallen in battle for UNSC propaganda. But for him again to be declared *"MIA"* means the UNSC honor his death to that of a Spartan. He didnt die as a marine, he died as a Spartan.

Fun fact about this one, the aesthetic of the Halo franchise since day one was heavily inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam from Chiefs Mjolnir MKV armor to the Hunter's whole design. This short was Halo going full circle having a short done by the team responsible for Gundam at the time.

This is might favorite episode of the series. Its probably the most emotional one of the group, plus the action and animation scenes are gorgeous. i could watch an entire Halo Anime if it were made by this studio

I recommend you watch admiral cole there is a video about his life and a video by i think space dock going over admiral coles last stand also the suit in this video was a real thing it was called the HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL MARK 1 prototype Armour Defence System but only a prototype was build because this was late in the war and it was super expensive to build but the idea wouldn't be lost and the mantis mech suit would be build based on this suit

The prototype was still used, it was the forerunner to the power armor of the Spartans, and the mantis mech. The shield was a bubble shield I think. But instead of a power armor as we see here it was split into a heavy mech for infantry and a lesser armed version for Spartans who are able to casually use the weapons and discard them when done. The jump packs, and bubble shields were used as powerups for Spartans too

Best action apart from the Package. Much more gory than the rest. Homecoming still my number 1
