This solo moto camping trip was a milestone in my accident recovery. It also gave me a chance to further experiment and gain experience to better develop the ultimate minimalist cooking kit--small and compact yet able to grill bake boil or fry just about anything for one or two people. Think of the ability to come into any town, find a grocery store then pick out "whatever" to cook that night, knowing you have a cook system capable of almost anything...something that would be fun and offer flexibility over freeze dried meals or canned soup only. It would make the trip more spontaneous and adventurous! Living on what you can find at gas stations and grocery stores as you go so you don't have to carry food. The challenge of it would be part of the fun.

Honestly, the BOX-POT was designed for the Scout Stove and I had no idea it would end up being the perfect solution to satisfy my recent obsession with developing the perfect minimalist cooking kit. I'll show you how it works with the "Scout Stove" later. This video just happened to relate directly with this breakthrough so I decided to re-edit and include a brief introduction to the new BOX-POT! Please let me know what you think in the comments below. Expect to see the Box Pot in a future Kickstarter campaign. I've just begun to tap into its full potential and it's already a little wonder!
I guess I got greedy thinking the storm might pass... all the while knowing full well that most thunderstorms develop in the afternoon. Everyone knows that... I'm lucky it wasn't worse. Thankfully it cleared up and the sun was back out in no time so I started up my Firebox Nano using the new "Wood Flame" gas burner combined with the "Ember Glow" radiant heat diffuser plate to grill my beef steak to absolute perfection! I am so happy with how well this miniature gas grill set up works! It's pretty much freaking awesome! Now, I just need to perfect the minimalist cooking in a cup concept which would be perfect for solo backpacking as well as ADV motorcycle camping since even when you're in a group everyone seems to cook for themselves. I would like a minimalist option able to accomplish all the ways I like to camp cook including grilling, baking & frying--rather than only having a way to boil like most.
