Honestly, God can absolutely exist, however I do not think he would be at all what most religions think, he'd absolutely be apathetic.

I'm not entirely closed off the the idea of *some* kind of god, but I think the idea that a conscious, all powerful being created the universe is pretty unrealistic. Maybe if we were talking about something like simulation theory, or an alien race from another universe that was so technologically advanced that they were essentially all powerful, but the traditional idea of a god doesn't really make sense

@@BlissAnimations yeah I made up mythology for my TTRPG. It’s really fun when you get to play with nonhuman cultures. I have a planet but the beings who inhabit it don’t have religion. All plants in this place grow food the planet has a core made of water and the crust is just under a mile thick an fresh water is so abundant in several thousand years beings that die of hunger or thirst is under a hundred. The beings on it like the planet but they don’t worship anything they. Why would they? If they realize I made it they say thanks and walk off. What else would they do? Give me gifts? Ones I can and will just manifest? I don’t want anything on this planet, all wants are covered. The natives here don’t even understand the concept of worship and when they find gods that require it they mock them as childish or stupid.

there's more concrete, material evidence to be antitheist. yeah a God could exist, but nearly everything ever done in the name of God has been negative. it's been the reason for billions of people's suffering, abuse, torture, etc. it's going on today and has since it's inception especially every single sect of Christianity and Judaism.

It would simply take a different world. A world where all land is fertile, drinkable water was at most 10 miles away, and the concept of illness was part of mythology and this god talks to people, I could worship that god. Believe in is far more simple. A language that could be understood inherently and was the word of a deity would be impressive enough for me to believe in a god. If a child instantly understood a book yet could not read and the blind read it by "sight" that works for me.

Asking for undeniable proof from God directly is a pretty reasonable hurdle, considering he is supposedly all powerful, all knowing, wants to have a personal relationship with me and wants me to be saved, if those are all attributes of the god of the bible then giving me undeniable proof is not only literally effortless, but something God would want to do. I'm not looking for some fuzzy feeling when I go to church or some philosophical reason given to me by an apologist, I want Jesus Christ to crash through my wall like the koolaid man, hand me a bible accented with a gold colored metal that turns out to be a completely unique element when looked at under a microscope and then fly off into heaven. At the very least God could make a pen float around in the air when I pray for proof, but I've tried that and for some reason it doesn't work

I personally am a Luciferian. My belief in Lucifer stems from the experiences I've heard from others, but the vast majority comes from multiple separate and consistent experiences that I've had. There may be a few other explanations for what I experienced, but they aren't particularly strong. I personally choose to believe that what I'm experiencing stems from some higher power, because the idea brings me comfort and generally being involved with the faith has had a lot of positive outcomes for me. But I really don't care what other people think about Lucifer or his existence because no one has the exact same beliefs and I don't have the energy to argue with someone who disagrees. I think the points in this video make a lot of sense.
@godlesssnowshoe
@godlesssnowshoe Месяц назад
huh ive never had a luciferian comment this is interesting! ive spoken to TST folks but thats very much an atheistic religion/ political movement more so than a ""real"" religion- i dont know much abt it, is it the same as the church of satan? i pretty sure theyre different like TST church or satan and lucifarianism are all separate types of satanism right?
@RavenAdrielle
@RavenAdrielle Месяц назад
@@godlesssnowshoe No, i definitely wouldn't say it has any relation to TST. Luciferianism is a lot more associated with witchcraft and it's way more often theistic (Like myself) than nontheistic. @RavenAdrielle
@RavenAdrielle Месяц назад
@@godlesssnowshoe No it's cool, i like telling ppl about it cause it's pretty obscure. Lucifer is an interesting figure cause he's originally from roman mythology and was the personification of the morning star (which is the interpretation I engage with for the most part) but he ended up in the bible from a mistranslation and several misinterpretations. He definitely represents the biblical figure more for some people but there isn't really one source of knowledge or one book on him because there's no one interpretation that's truly correct or not. Most of the way people engage with him is their own interpretation of what they know about him :)

I don’t really care about religion but there is probably some god that exists not the Christian god that doesn’t really care about earth but more about the whole universe.
@RyebuckCoppercap
@RyebuckCoppercap Месяц назад
I don't believe nor disbelieve in a god existing, though I lean towards an agnostic deism with a sort of "universal architect" as a prime mover, this "god" being the one to cause the big bang, and then doing fluff-all, like a player letting their game running without any input beyond the initial conditions; but as for worship of this "god" (if they even exist)? Fluff no! At best, they'd be apathetic or incompetent, and at worst, actively malicious, so yeah, they can shove their worship up their plots. As for Jesus, I think there are some historical sources close to his reported time of existence, the oldest being about 30 or 100c.e. iirc? And these do line up a bit with the Jesus stories from the Bible, and thus is likely a person named Jesus of Nazareth existed. As for being the Messiah, yeah, no, only Christian sources for that. Most likely Jesus was just a chill dude who knew a bit of medicine, and preached peace and love and a more just society, and was seen as a troublemaker by Roman authorities and was thusly killed. The resurrection stuff and the miracles though? Most likely fabrications or exaggerations of him doing some medicinal stuff.
@godlesssnowshoe
@godlesssnowshoe Месяц назад
the oldest non christian writings about jesus are from 93ad from josephus flavius i believe! someone correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure thats the case? not horribly long after but not an eye witness account by any means. to be fair i do think its likley jesus actually existed, i feel like historical impact of it is very indicative of that so my point was less to say he didnt exist but more so that its a very poorly documented story outside biased sources.
@RyebuckCoppercap
@RyebuckCoppercap Месяц назад
@@godlesssnowshoe yeah, iirc, the only three things most historians agree on about jesus is that he was born in Nazareth, he was baptized, and he died in the cross. The rest of the writings from his times that talk about him are otherwise contradictory, or biased either towards or against Jesus, and thus are not very useful in terms of piecing together his life beyond that.
@d_camara
@d_camara Месяц назад
just because even non christians enbelish jesus a lot: he liked slavery, treat him less like the best hippie of all history and more like just some hippie please
@RyebuckCoppercap
@RyebuckCoppercap Месяц назад
@@d_camara IIRC, we can't know for certain what Jesus thought about basically anything, let alone slavery, since the gospels are often contradictory with one another and non-religious sources from the time are very brief and to the point (if I'm not misremembering things), and the biblical sources are likely filtered through the views of each of their authors/editors. He could've been anything between a delusional yet charismatic narcissist who thought he was the sh!t, a guy who tried to preach peace, or a radical anarchist intent on bringing down the roman empire by any means necessary. I do realize that I did an oopsie when I neglected to mention that the "most likely" interpretation of Jesus I mentioned in my first comment was just my own interpretation of what I think was most likely based off the more mainstream historical views about him and the textual evidence; and that these mainstream views do have a large amount of variation within them. So yeah, I doubt well ever know about the slavery bit for certain, but, despite being agnostic, I do believe that Jesus overall was a decent dude, but a person nonetheless, and a product of his time, with all that that entails ;p
@DeconvertedMan
@DeconvertedMan Месяц назад
To know that "god" exists, I would have to have the same standard I have for everything else: empirical evidence, repeatable tests, &/or a valid and sound argument. I have none of these things regarding "god". Once I have one of those things, then and only then would I think that "god" is a thing. Cool drawing. :)

@BinguDingus

It's called a clipping layer or clipping mask. With a clipping layer, you can only draw on top of whatever other layer it is designated to. This is great for adding details to already existing coloring or stacking shading and lighting effects on top of it without having to erase anything that goes beyond, say, lineart. Most capable art programs have them.
