That duo in cyx's team really pissed me off. He was doing his job as a tank and they come with those "ironic" flames trying to be superior lol Cyx mentality proved really strong here
@adrielbadillo1942 NAAH the dps is worse than the mercy... I know this type.. he has a huge ego and think it's the best player in the lobby just because has a mercy pocketing him... seriously these duos is one the cancers of this game lol
So funny when the Sojourn was like "that's a tank diff there" when the nano Orisa killed three with her ult and went from 5 elims to 8 with 6 deaths and you were at 16 elims and 1 death at the time!
I think it depends on who the persons playing If you play a shield character religiously then ana ain't much of an issue but if they DO ban ana you know to ban someone like hog or mauga so they don't just dominate without anti heals
@@sebastian-jb6hk that just worse point of view anyone can have. Not only every role matters, but especially supports nowadays, cause blizzard fcked up balance and without good support whom at least understand this game, you basically won't win.
i think HOTS method of hero bans is best imho. the way it works is two leaders (prob tanks since they are solo) each pick a "anti" ban, then two people lock in their heros, then you ban one hero each, then you pick two more heros for the game, then you antiban, then you select your last two bans and hero picks...or something like that. obviously you cant select heros and keep them locked in, but i think having 1-2 protections each then tanks choose which heros to ban makes sense.
The best part of this is them flaming him and calling tank diff when only 3 days later top 500 for role queue is reveled. Cyx is at the time of this post 1st, 2nd and 3rd of the tank leaderboard across his accounts.
Only problem I have with the idea of hero bans is overwatch isn’t really the same as other games in that there’s a lot of specialists in overwatch. Just look at cyx for example. Imagine you see cyx in your lobby so you ban hog then you just end up with everyone banning the specialist’s hero
Thats why they were talking about not being able to see the people your in a lobby in which would make sense atleast until after the picks have gone through
r6 i think has the best bad sistem for that: we have 3 maps at the start of the game and both teams chose 1 to ban (if both chose the same game decides for the other 2), then we have operator bans that are 2 attackers and 2 def, 1 eatch team. also a very cool statistic that could be VERY usefull is how much a hero is getting banned, so if its too much they can think of balancing that character, or too low to buff it
in league you can't see enemy names. If they added bans in OW It should be like one ban per team or 2 max, because there aren't as many champions to choose from.
"I feel like Im so self reliant on self-heal here" I had a QP game where I healed 8k - 9k as Hog. I swear most supports ARE relying on you, as Hog, to heal yourself
I don’t think this game needs or should have hero bans with their being like under 50 heroes and with people probably looking at profiles and seeing otp’s probably gonna lose that game it just wouldn’t make sense for hero bans to be implemented map picks maybe but still we’d only play like the same 5 maps all the time
As a OTP obviously I’m against hero bans but I also believe hero bans are very anti fun. Do I hate to go against some characters absolutely. Do I want to take that option away from people not really. I like the option to freely choose who I want to play at any given moment even if I don’t. Also ZBRA, Arrge, Cyx, Frogger. If they don’t hide usernames these people will never get to play their main. I’m super against it. I love having my only played ranked hero as my main it’s satisfying to see its also just impressive to see people get top rank with one character
Hero bans is pretty decent, like banning soj for xim guy and mercy for him(for example) is great, but I think it can go like r6,where few operators are perma banned nomateer what, like clash or caveira
Less toxic?...... not in metal ranks. If there is an obvious rout against your team just type an early GG-----8 out of 10 times they actually will turn the tide just to try and be contrarian and prove you wrong.
This is so true Seeing someone struggle against mauga and complain was funny until the tank just called them bad They proceed to go sigma ana and dumbster the rest of the match it was pretty funny
@@Ucfahmad Oh, I am down here in the bottom. Between being older, and career choice, I can only play in late late hours (or early depending on perspective) where the pot heads, alcoholics, and smurf carry accounts roam. I am better than my metal rank, but not by much. However being a filthy casual limits progress but player population at the times hinders it a bit more.
Im Good and i would ban Ana, rebalance her power but even 80% heal reduction would be better than none, let's just keep that as a junker queen ult. At high ranks It would give them more incentive to play her anyway since I know she falls off a bit there.
I really hate the idea of hero bans in any game, I think it's just incredibly lazy game design to cover up the fact that your game is either horribly unbalanced and only playable if you literally remove the best characters from the equation or that your game is rife with downright unwinable matchups cause your characters are all one dimensional. games with balanced characters and thought put into matchups don't need hero bans.
I like the idea of hero bans since people would have to get better with more than one hero and cant just one trick and throw matches when their only character is getting countered Plus some characters wouldn't really need to be nerfed so nuch cuz if its a hard counter vs your character you can ban them and vice versa which can make more unique games than just play the same 5 heros every time
hero bans are fine for comp no casual also this is nice my comments is unreadable as i write this unless i highlight it cause youtube is now buggy garbage lol how times have changed
Hell to the no. People have been saying make it a 50%-75% heal reduction, they could make the effect last a second or two longer if they want to redistribute power.
Hero bans would be great because then Ana can be permabanned like she deserves, so tank can be an actually fun role again. LOL. In seriousness, though, Ana will literally be permabanned as much as Thatcher in Siege. Either that or they finally gut Anti. If there were 2 bans, then the second pick would always be annoying characters like Orisa, Sombra, Mei, or Widow.
Common low value dps player. Got pocketed heavily but still provide low value to the team. Big L to that sojourne player. There is a quote for this low value dps player. ‘You aint shit’
I really hope they put hero bans in man. Imagine just not worrying about sombra, widow, sym, mercy, or whatever hero that you find annoying as fuck. Id play so much more if i knew every gme wouldnt have a bastion with a mercy pocket every game
I'd be ok with hero bans if they were kept only to competitive. although I think they would have to make tanks unable to be banned, theres too few with too few playstyles
Anyone advocating for hero bans right now are lacking the foresight and intelligence necessary to know that it's a terrible idea in overwatches current state. You need at least 20 more heroes that can fill the niches of other heroes before it would be a viable option. Why? it would give an avenue for extremely toxic players to take out their frustrations on people by banning the heroes they want to select on their own team, make heroes that you need for the specific instance of what's happening in game not be an option which can make you hate your team and enemies even more due to them punishing you for knowing how to hero swap, punish people for trying to master the game by focusing on mastering a single hero, and generally become very toxic as it will disallow people who may want to play a niche heroes just because people don't like others seeing them. "Oh, you want to play mercy? so saaaaad, guess you'll gonna have to play life weaver if you don't want to aim on support... real saaaad" "Genji not doing so hot in the meta? sorry weeb, i just dont like having genjis on my team", "I'm sure you're a pretty trash widow maker anyway, banning your pick was doing our team a favor." The frustrations you generate off of it are not worth the supposed frustrations they would "solve", this is a textbook example of human stupidity trying to solve not being able to get a chainsaw working by using your legs to hold it in place while you rev.
honestly this, same with kiriko. her win rate is less than 50% which is why blizzard doesn't wanna nerf her but people will not stop complaining. once people get the idea in their head a character is annoying or broken prepare to never play them again as they will be default banned every game because people will not think about who actually needs to be banned and just go for the quickest and easiest as that will be what they're used to. When I played siege even though clash was not broken at all, me and my friends found her irritating and annoying to play against and just banned her every game we played.
this reminds me of what people used to say at the beginning of ow 2 about widow. everyone was like "bro, don't peek her" even though she could control the pace of an entire match and the exponentially growing group of players saying she's ruining the game and needs to be tuned back. ana is now going through that same process and i knew she would because it was clear from the start her abilities were too strong for single tank.
