Bro, everybody on the internet today has no clue who these guys are. I forgot about this band until literally an hour ago but grew up with this music that was created 2 hours away from where I grew up and currently live.

Prozzak’s music really is the best expression of going through life with depression that I’ve ever heard, it’s really artistic when you think about it. With the music being so cheery but Simon sounding so down in his vocals, but trying to get into the mood by matching the beat of the music is like being high on a drug that you can’t figure out how to enjoy, like how depressed people can’t figure out how to properly enjoy life like everyone else seems to be through their eyes.

2:42 I alway found it interesting how Simon specificies he's singing about MODERN girls here. Think about it, the guy comes from a distant time where women just showing their legs was considered obscene, so it would make sense for him to have trouble adapting to the 21st century where sexuality is basically everywhere. Such a cultural shock could definitely mess up one's understanding of love and relationships. No wonder Simon's dysfunctional.

It’s easy to forget how much of these songs are based on real difficulties Jay had with romance, so a lot of the stuff discussed in these songs are from a real place.

@@studio_1 Yeah that's true, but even back then they didn't forget that they were playing characters as well, so they were bound to add a few elements that were specific to Simon and Milo and not as grounded in reality. There was an in-character interview from the 2000's where Milo said the first album was partly about them discovering the modern world or something like that.
