Damn thats a good idea if you just need something for a quick setup to keep an eye on your print! I do wish the mini got more love though! It's such a cool little printer but it feels like it's being left by the wayside!

Just tried it. Works just like you said, but only snapshots. No live feed like raspberry pi had through octoprint on my old mk3s+. I really wish they would set it up so we can just plug in a damn USB webcam. Using an old cell phone sux.

lol I thought I could plug in a USB-C camera and have it work.....sigh........ It doesn't. I think PC has a lot of potential. There is a lot about it I like, but octoprint on my mk3 is a far superior setup to my mk4 PC setup. Hopefully someday they will be able to have pretty much all of octoprint inside PC. I do love my mk4 though. Incredible printer. Such great quality. The mk3 was good, but I frequently was frustrated with the VFAs.

Yeah, I hope to see Octoprint level someday. Seems like they are starting to focus more and more on Prusa connect features.

Chris, this is very exciting, now I want my XL even more. Does the camera connect via wifi? I'm hoping that you don't need cell service - that would make it expensive to hook up many cameras

If I were trying to make a camera connect to the prusa connect that isn't a phone that can scan a QR code what would you recommend? I am trying to utilize the features or prusa connect camera snapshots while still being able to live feed my camera to other apps, curious if there is any method out there to achieve this. Not directly. If you added a Pi and ran Prusa link to use the cam, I think it might conflict with the one already running on it.

You would have to enable the connection via an API some how. It would be some work.

Only with smart devices right now directly. You can always use prusa link on a Rpi to use another camera.

Your video is excellent. Thumbs up for that. But PrusaConnect is far away from useful. I use the Repetier Server. It‘s much faster and have 100 times more functionality. It starts with organizing the files and Projects. The status is realtime and not delayed. It can be customized to my needs. I can use it local or remote through the internet. etc. etc.
