For PS-1 (Ponniyin Selvan 1, Antara Nandy sang a scratch version of the song - Alaikadal.
It was to be used only for shooting, and finally sung by an established singer for the final movie.
Antara Nandy recorded the scratch in 2019.
Due to COVID 19, lock down followed across India.
Antara even forgot about the scratch version she had recorded.
But destiny had her plans, and decided to knock on Antara’s doors.
Antara Nandy - started learning music at the age of 4.
Participated in a reality show when she was 9.
At 19, she was a participant in another reality show ARRived, India’s 1st RU-vid Original.
It was judged by AR Rahman.
She was noticed by the maestro himself.
An opportunity followed - to sing scratches for AR Rahman.
The rest - one hopes, will be history.

I'm from Kerala. I still remember the first time I got to know about her. It was a whatsapp video in which on a terrace these 2 sisters singing tapping on a desk or something. Very vaguely their names were said in the video, from which i got only 'Nandy'. I searched Nandy sisters and they weren't as popular on the internet as today. Been following her, hearing her from time to time.. Now all of a sudden after a while, heard her in a big film like this. It's nice. Congrats 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
