Tony hawk's is so nostalgic for me, brings me right back to my childhood...the musical the skateboarding, I was 7 when it was released. I enjoy your current format of a few games a discussion on how your acquired them and how you feel towards the game, gameplay etc...I think individual games would be better for the collector's editions maybe...but I will be happily watching regardless. Really enjoyed this one, thanks for sharing 👍
Great video dude. In my opinion you should continue doing the videos as they are. I always enjoy the build-up and story to what game you picked up. Almost like a drum roll effect lol. As mentioned before I love those arcade reimanged games on the PS1. I still highly recommend Tempest X3 on PS1. The music alone makes the already addictive gameplay even more addictive. Oooh I wasn't aware of missle command on the PS1. Now on my to pick up list lol Aaah THPS :). Great memories of 1999 and early 2000 playing that. Can't get more tony hawk nostalgic than starting free skate in the warehouse stage smashing through the glass as soon as the guitar riff for New Girl kicks In. Love it :).
Great pickups Pete. The Space Debris game looks interesting. I've never heard about it either :D This format is perfect, but if you want to make short videos I don't mind :) Really glad you're collecting for PS1. I've got most of the games I want for the system, but the last couple of games I'd like to own are really expensive. Made myself a promise to not pay the ridiculous ebay prices, so if that means I won't get to have them in my collection, then that's fine also :)
Nice one Pete. It's been a solid start to the collection over the last couple of vids. I'm a fan of the ps1 despite being an n64 kid at the time. I think the vast majority of my mates were on the ps1 with just a few of us on n64 so i had lots of exposure to the system. I know the game cases get a bit of stick for being flimsy but i think they look great on display. And as you say, the most important thing is that there are loads of games to sit and have fun with. Top stuff mate 👍
Tony hawks changed my life hahah the music is next level and still have the spotify playlists today when im driving ......personal faves are goldfinger superman...Powerman 5000 and body jar you've changed ....dunno which are on which game but yeah.. BASS...how low can you go
Valid points Pete but it's also worth pointing out that variants can affect prices - for example, PAL (but non UK) versions are often substantially cheaper than their PAL UK counterparts and Lomax also came in a single case as well as the double box - it's little things like this can affect the overall price. It's annoying though when we see games we want being listed with thoroughly unreasonable BIN's that nobody is going to pay. Bargains always appear even if it means playing the waiting game. Steady wins the race. This format is a winner. 15 Mins or so is a great time, not too short to the point of wondering what the point of that was and not too long to feel it's dragging. A more in-depth focus on individual games is a nice idea too, would be a nice YT reference point in the future too if people want to check out a game they like the look of. I hear you on Tony Hawk's, I could almost 'feel' the gameplay watching that footage as well as the noise of the skateboard. Prefer the second one I must admit and I think the Dreamcast version was the best too but still, proper nostalgia right there.
Is that Missile Command compatible with a mouse? I can see it being fun to play like that. Tony Hawk is just a classic. So much fun back in the day. The remaster holds up really well. I think maybe keep your vids to this format as a standard and then every so often when a particular game comes in you can give it the spotlight treatment.
I agree with you on Missile Command, great game and the updated one is great but the 3d one is not in the same league I'd say just do pickups that you want to do, I thought this format worked well though eBay prices can be a pain on buy it now but you just have to bide your time, keep your eye on listings and wait for something at a price you deem fair whether it be on auction or an underpriced buy it now, I'd say auctions is the cheapest route generally though, but bargains can be had buy it now if you can constantly keep looking for new listings 👍✌️
