First time I played this game, I let the intro play and the menu music repeat for an hour before starting the game. I was so in awe. I still remember seeing it in the glass case at Walmart. I had no idea what I was going to buy, but the cover with all of the shells was so intriguing. Probably the greatest game I’ve ever played.
The music playing from 1:35 to 2:21is during the game over screen. Just the beauty of the music made dying not so bad, at least I got to listen to this masterpiece, long before you could just RU-vid most tracks from games. Such a little thing that I think is overlooked are the old school game over screens. It'd usually be accompanied by memorable music or more memorable moments, just to name a few examples: Final Fantasy 8, Killzone, Black and my all-time favourites, Metal Gear Solid, the tune that plays while hearing Snakes team yelling out for him. Man I miss old games, nowadays you die in a game and within a microsecond you're back to the gameplay, barely any loading screens or any memorable game over moments.
