You always amaze us with your work. When I had such a defect, I used to start with reflow rsx Because I didn't know how to measure these components thank you our master
Good day sir, you have no idea how much I appreciate your videos. I like to do my own repairs but the one thing I can't find are the schematics to tell me what outputs each part should be putting out. I can remove the parts, but I don't know how to figure out which part needs to be replaced. Do you, or anyone in this thread, know where I can find "what to check for" and what the readings should be? I have about 10 GLOD boards and a couple of RLOD/YLOD boards and I'd like to repair them myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone
I've learned something today the ethernet chip correspond to south bridge clock and also the panasonic hdmi decode ic chip for display output.. these two chips causes glod on slims i would think
I have checked your video, but i dont know if it fixes my problem, my Fat ps3 40gb turns on, green light, but ''No Signal'' at all, no HDMI and no AV works. any thoughts? should i blast it with heat gun? (if so, at what temps, and for how long?) you think can be Nec tokins? can be HDMI chip? (but av doesnt work too...)
Please check for the HDD light to blink. If the light blinks for an instant or is normal then you have to re-flow the RSX. A light reflow that ball under RSX should not melt fully. And to avoid the motherboard bending, preheat the whole board first.380-degree temp.enough if you are using a heat gun and the airflow should be at 3.
@@idreestech the HDD blinks at the very beginning (for an instant) after pressing start, then dont blink anymore while the green light stays on. im using a heat gun, afer preheat the whole board, what temperature should i put on the RSX, and for how long? 250ºc for 40seconds? i just dont know... should i put some flux (no clean) underneath the RSX?
@@idreestech is AMTECH NC-559-ASM Lead-Free Solder Flux Paste a good flux to inject under RSX to reflow? im trying to choose one from aliexpress to buy
Good like always sir My friend has glod and i fixed it for him by using 4 small coin on the top of gpu ihs that gave him some months Do you think reflow can fix the problem permanently sir
@@idreestech No the fan doesn't spin at all ( spins when you perform the cleaning method than completely shuts off) It turns red on standby you turn it on the green light comes on than nothing The hard drive don't blink at all No power in USB ports Bd don't work And you can't turn it off by holding the power button Thank for your response Sir
hi i have same problem but it's a bit different it goes to glod but when turn it off and on again it works normal without any problem run games etc .. what do u think the problem where and thanks keep up good work
On first turn on if HDD light blinks, audio available but no video then check for your HDMI section. And if no audio, no video and no hdd light then go for a slight CPU reflow.
@@idreestech PS3 repair videos are fine too, because there are not many repair people on RU-vid who actually diagnose the problem at the motherboard's component level. But having variety is good, too.
Hi! If you're asking whether there's anyone here who sells defective PS3 and PS2 consoles, I’m not sure, but you might want to check with local repair shops or online marketplaces for parts or defective units. If you have specific repair needs or questions about these consoles, feel free to ask!
To do it without oscilloscope, you have to compare parts value with another good doner motherboard. I think smd parts are available online or in your area electronic parts shop.
i dont have that signal cloak meter . can i get reading with multi meter ? the ethernet chip. how can i found foult on that . not sending signal to southbrigh
@@idreestech it was phat model . it was ylod. 4 resistor was 3.48 ohm above the gpu behind the thermal resistor. i change them with same model was 4.65 ohm ..and heat both cpu and gpu. and ylod fix. but no pictur. and hdd just blink once and nothing.
