Hi, just a heads up. You can also load payload from data directory in PS4 HDD. Just tried and it works flawlessly. Excellent tool for those who can't run Linux or don't want to install a VM or dual boot.

If you put it in rest mode after the JB it will still be there. If you turn it off you'll have to JB it again

Sell it and get another one on a lower firmware. The next JB is likely to be when Sony ends all support for the PS4 and that probably won't be until 2030. The PS4 is far too capable for Sony to ignore right now so they'll keep patching and requiring new firmware versions to use PSN and new game updates.

Not going to happen until Sony release a console that puts PS4 in the dust and when a huge number of games are available without PS4 support. PS5 doesn't do that, so PS4 is still a viable device to play a HUGE library. IMO, we won't see Sony make that move until at least 2030

I am not sure if you'll care for this but here's a little something: Jailbroken PS4s can run Linux. And Linux can run many Windows (PC) games under software (called "Lutris" ) . Two almost-legendary fan-made games - *Streets of Rage Remake* and *Another Metroid 2 Remake* - can be played on a PS4 this way. Not to mention, many unofficial demakes and many games that would, otherwise, stay console-exclusive (i.e. switch) may be available to you - provided you are willing to put in a bit of work. Learn what involves / comes with jailbreaking a console and *you can get incredible things* out of the whole experience. Plus, you'll be learning a thing or a dozen about computers and operating systems.

Maybe the ethernet cable type, length of the credentials used or the timing / way the PC broadcasts? Maybe a something in the firewall blocking certain types of pings or disabled options on the system? Know I wasn't able to ping other machine on my network or connect to proxmox when I only had the ipv4 option enabled for my ethernet adapter, works for debugging on PS3 but was no good for that use case, so I have to enable those options for my adapter, forget the names of the protocols but if having issues, checking adapter settings, firewall and anti virus be first thing I'd be doing.

got it work several times on my 10.00. Strangely it always fails on the 1st run, and usually succeeds on the 2nd one. And also running the poc as root or admin if ur on Windows seems to increase the success rate. We shall wait a little bit for Goldhen to enjoy Bloodborne in 60FPS :)

Modded Warfare could it be the length/ quality of the CAT5/ Ethernet cable people are using to connect from PC to PS4? I only say this because I have run into some lower quality cables, and have had 1 wire break causing communication problems here and there.

Great news for those who are on fw above 9.00. Hope the guru figure out a S32 solution on this exploit, accessing the lan cable of the back of the computer is not convenient compare to those using laptops. Until then, stay on your 9.00 and watch modded warefare.

I am on 9.00 and tbh I don't plan to update to 11.00 and using this method. It''s way more complicated, than inserting the USB, wait for a few seconds and tada ! JB it's done.

@@Deyz04 Yeah, the biggest benefit to updating would be patch access, for post 9.00 games that have been backported to 9.00 require you to get a back ported patch which is a PITA, especially if the game is broken and needs the patch. But, I agree right now the process is too convoluted. It would as MW says be ideal if we could have an ESP32 broadcasting a network that the PS4 connects to on boot and the ESP automatically exploits the PS4 on connection. I'll probably wait for such developments personally before abandoning 9.00. To be fair I've got a spare PS4 which will almost certainly be pre 11.00 so might swap to that one and leave 9.00 safe.

So pls after able to Install Goldhen on any ps4 it means the console firmware is 💯 jailbreak and can install games manually?

very good video as always, I tried with my ps4 pro firmware 9.60, the stage2.bin loads but my ps4 turns off and I tried like three times to keep waiting
