Most PS4 power supplies usually fail in the same areas. Let me show you what usually fails. I am not an expert and my videos are unedited but maybe this will help out a few of my fellow techs. Follow us on Facebook: / ps4repair101
Mine cuts on for 1 sec then off then nothing? I’ve checked all you said and it’s all good. When I check the one beside the plug going to the motherboard I get Continuity on the 2 prongs on the one side but not across is that shorted? Thanks it’s PG2 is next to it on the bottom side
Hey man you around? i have a adp-300fr AAA PSu for PS4 pro and i cant find how to test this PSU. the pin out could be different and i dont wanna mess it up
Hi friends, I have this power supply and I have the same problem. I was already performed these tests and the same resistor is damaged. I need to know which value have this? I hope can help me. Thanks.
i just wondering what the difference between pmic and pwmic??, because mostly electronic parts store in my town don't know what pmic is, but if pwmic they do,
mad-dog one hello. Honestly. I’m probably not calling that correct. I call it a pmic. But that is probably not the correct terminology. However, if your looking for those parts. Rhodes guys will not carry these parts. China would be the only way to go. And not all of what I call pmic are on the market to purchase. I pull a lot of them off of other donor boards.
Helo how you doing .I hope well... I have one like this power supply if ps4 ADP-160CR .. the big yellow transformer found damaged .then there is no 12 v out .... only 5 v..... how can I repair it or is there any replacement...thanks
Hello. Me too I have same problem, I mean 5V is ok but no 12V. When I press power ON then the 5V goes away and I have to recycle the power to resume the 5V.
Mine was completely dead.. everything tested goos except the resister.. Didn't have a 16.2 so put 2 together to get 15.8. Now eject works.. but as soon as I hit the power button it comes on for a moment then kicks off and had to be reset my unplugging and plugging back in. Is this from the difference in resistance or is there another issue???
@@RepairLegion OK, thank you, then my resistor is fine, I though, I've found the culprit, thought it has to be 16.2 ohm. I have 4.8V, but not 12V. Bummer. Damage near R7 and R48. I think someone poked a screwdriver inside the live power supply.
