Thanks for watching our video! This is Phar Lap - Horse Racing Challenge on PS4. They're essentially the same game, but on different platforms and this game has some different mechanics and features (less features, really). Rival Stars is indeed more popular, it seems. It would be nice if they would expand this game further.

@@HazyPaw they should just call it rival stars and be done with it. Do they even know who Phar lap is?

@ThePantherDemon They can call it whatever they want as long as they're going to add new content haha. The game tries to include story that loosely connects to Phar Lap, and you can buy and own Phar Lap (he is the foundation sire for everyone's stables, basically). The last racecourse you unlock is also in Australia, and it has the biggest payouts and purses. But the game's title screen features some random horse that isn't even a chestnut, and I'm pretty sure they chose Phar Lap purely because the original development studio is based in Australia. May as well have called it Black Caviar - Horse Racing Challenge or Winx - Horse Racing Challenge...or just Horse Racing Challenge. Edit: This game was also released before Rival Stars (bizarrely), so they took the project and changed it up and left this game behind without any new content. Back in the day they also had a game called Frankie Dettori Racing/Melbourne Cup Challenge that I remember being not very connected to Frankie Dettori or the Melbourne Cup in any way either.
