In this video I teardown and assembly the new PS5 DualSense controller.
This is the first BDM-010 model, and the second one BDM-020 looks alike apart from a couple parts.
I have to say Sony did a great job, after opening prob. around a 1000 PS4 controllers, this new DualSense feels improved and they have payed attention to detail.

Congrats XQ Gaming, on another stellar teardown vid and many thanks for sharing ... They did this thing overly complex, in my opinion, not to mention retaining the "chocolate" ALPS sticks & an exaggerate number of ribbon cables ... and, screws ... too many screws ... Maybe they made the pad sturdier for handling & playing, but it definitely takes longer to troubleshoot & repair. I do hope a revised V2 comes soon - in less than a year, that is ... - less complicated & in different colors ... Cheers

Noice one! I can not only see the failure modes on this controller that happen with the PS4 version but extra ones with the trigger feedback. Those gears are going to be stripped in a rage quit! Other than that the same issues are going to happen, stick drift. Button flex, LT / RT rubber wearing out. I'm guessing there will be a revision of this controller within six months of release. Too many screws and parts! Thanks for the early vid and thanks for showing us repair guys we can keep on repairing these controllers for the next few years!

@@Dib4ma Well its a moving part and moving parts will wear out at some point. I would imagine they know about the issue and havent found a better solution yet. But luckily they are easy replaceable to prolong the lifespan. Hope they will find a better sensor tho.

why are the sticks horizontal and not vertical 😆 now my scuf sticks will face the wrong way

Thats a shame be like a couple of wavy snakes lol. Its because they decided for the sake of stick press run position longevity in the forward position that was the best placement by what ive researched with problems of non responsive button press angle if already moving forward? Trying to address problems its a shame they didnt select better quality potentiometers from what ive seen. Other than a complete costly redesign the likes of X Box 1 elite V2 sticks that will fit by all accounts but are complete trash for sloppy dead spots & failure they just rotated them to see what would happen, poke & hope lol. It looks and feels the same as the green ones from the Dualshock 4, at least they didnt use the orange modules... They are even worse.

atleast it has a worm gear so there should not be any issues atleast they didn't use grease and thats good most would want to see grease but its not needed if they used metal then yes but would've been bad for longtime use as in a rough feel and noise as more its used

Hey I tried installing some paddles on my PS5 controller when I put everything together the controller won't turn on but plugging in the cable the light indacator flashes onces still not able to use

@14:55 i cant find these rubbers. my buttons now require a hard press to work cause these are missing, it seems i have an updated controller? idk. got a rubber replacement kit but none of em seemed to work.

Am I the only one who thinks that the ps4 controller looks better? Yeah this looks futuristic and new but like, there´s too much going on for custom controllers, you might be able to change a few colors but it just seems so overdone for elite ps5 controllers, I´m still excited to see what elite brands do but I´m more of a fan of the ps4 controller ps4 controllers are also a lot easier to mod thesedays
