Great final boss. It would have been nicer if RGG had created more narratives for him but Gaiden has only 5 chapters so it's understandable. Ost is fxxking banger!
Fun fact: In japan, 斜陽, pronunced shayoh, means sunset and actually implies the decline of something influencial and powerful. So, this part visualized the end of Omi alliance and even end of yakuza's era by the sunset.
The final boss reminds me a lot of Aizawa but done a lot better especially for the character development. Anyway, great combo! I feel like Gaiden is much more harder to do no damage due to how Yakuza style is designed as a tank style but still at least on par with Judgment's combat quality
@@WishIWasClever The combat is only really clunky compared to Lost Judgment. In general this is some of the smoothest and most enjoyable combat in the whole series and Shishido is a perfect match for this moveset.
For a short side game and one that only took 6 months to make, the quality is absolutely outstanding! Honestly when I found out it took only 6 months to make and it’s this good, I was shocked. Though it makes sense, I think this was originally intended as DLC for Yakuza 6. I’m glad they made it it’s own game. It’s a sequel to Yakuza 6, a simultaneous campaign that takes place at the same time as yakuza like a dragon (Yakuza 7), leads up to the events of Yakuza 7, and leads directly into LAD: Infinite Wealth. That’s the second simultaneous campaign I’ve played this year, the other was Project Wingman’s Frontline 59 campaign.
@@DehdLock I do agree that they make great games, but they aren’t perfect. There’s definitely some jank in this game that probably would’ve been ironed out if more time was spent working on the game before release, but even with that, it’s still an amazing game. It’s got the best coliseum in the entire series. I hope they keep this for future games.
Anyone else take a moment to appreciate how _animalistic_ Shishido’s screams sound for how briefly he was juggled? 0:35, 3:24, 5:33, 7:48 _”Gyaaaaah!” “Ruaaaagh!” “Guoooohh!”_
Dude, your tactics are great, this run is proof of what a good boss Shishido is, he has many mechanics, and it's great to see how someone counters them. Definitely my favorite final boss.
does being drunk give you a small boost? for me the two sq button agent extreme heat mode juggle takes a bit longer to execute for some reasonn (kiryu not drunk)
You gotta whiff the first hit of the agent style extreme heat combo and if you do the second one will launch, the easiest way to set this up is by doing the agent style extreme heat mode dodge counter with triangle and then mashing saquare
Despite being injured from falling down like 20 meters, he almost killed Majima, managed to pushed back both Saejima and Majima Kiryu was not injured in this final fight( unlike Y5 and Y6), and still had lot of difficulty to bring him down. Shishido is the strongest villain Kiryu ever fought in the series
yakuza style in this game is more like the archetype of saejima or beast style, slow but powerful with lots of armored moves while agent style has defensive/evasive moves like reguard and knockdown recovery
it's kinda hard but you need to shift the left control stick (movement stick) in the correct direction, usually the top left or hard left is what I find works, also timing of course lol
Is your damage low because you didn't upgrade it or because you're not using any gear? Honestly i didn't bother much with the arena besides getting new techniques instead of pure stat points and grabbing some akame points from the samurai for the talisman.
You have to be REALLY skilled to properly use a katana, like inches off you aren't cutting much And honestly they probably just have it sit there rotting
