I just offloaded my entire PSA collection due to the white specks between the title and the card itself. Very sad when I discovered this. Whether we get good grade returns or not, the casing should be the last concern lol.

Man, im so tempted to buy some AGS 8's or 9's because if they r super strict, I feel like those r still pretty close to very very good condition, and I think that as AGS becomes more well known, the 8's and 9's will be worth more.

Wrote out a long explanation on my experiences with AGS slabs but decided to delete it. Simplified, it seems like a great idea when things are scanned and done by computer but things don’t line up. I was all about purchasing AGS slabs but now do not even look at them. Don’t trust the company and the people behind it either. Do they have more than 1 machine yet?

I sent off my first submission to them a few weeks back. They have a promo now where they will grade your first card for free you pay the $14 shipping so it’s just $14 to try AGS out and send in your first card. Also the AGS app shows the progress of what’s going on with your card, when it’s been graded, slabbed and shipped. Very cool.

Nice video! I'm new to DBS TCG and pulled my first SCR on my first booster box! Unfortunately, on the same day, the card and all my other cards started to warp/bend/curl, they had a curve already, but it grew a little bit. The sides of the cards moved backwards. Reddit says this is normal, and it happens mainly due to humidity. Have you happened to encounter this issue before? When it comes to PSA grading, do they consider warps and curls made from natural conditions when it comes to grading? What is your experience with that? Have you sent cards with minimal curling and still got a 10? I've read that PSA flattens your card when putting it in a slab, and they don't take under grading this type of characteristic. Please let me know. I am excited to send mine for grading. (I got the SS4 Vegeta, Peak of Primitive Power SCR) Also, how does AGS deals with this?

Wish they would ship in a box and/or use sleeves for the slabs, so they don't get banged up especially for the expensive shipping price and mine came first class not priority for the $14 outrageous shipping cost

I currently have 4 cards in my collection that are all flawless PSA 5’s. Idk what happened but I’ve had multiple people look over them with a close light inspection and can’t find any flaws.

Psa has gotten too big hiring so many employees to “meet demand”, yet that just means there’s probably so many people that have no idea what they’re doing. That is why I think beckett might be more accurate on grading. I think they only had 13 graders.. but maybe hired s few more since I last read about them. Smaller grading teams in a company means more consistency, and not a million graders hired who might not even know what they’re doing & just want a job

The umbreon v is pretty awesome, not sure how to feel about ags. I don’t mind automatic grading, but a human element needs to also look the card over as well and compare between the 2 grades. The software was designed by people, and can still make mistakes. Personal opinion, both human and machine should work together.

Yeah I totally get that. From what they told me, the more cards they grade and the more cards they have access to the Moore card images they have in their database to be able to compare cards. Does that make sense?

I use SQC in Thailand for grading, they put photo of the problem on the card with a camera for gold and jewels.

Overall, I've had a pretty good experience with PSA. However, I've had one issue with my Umbreon Alt Art VMAX for getting a 6. It wasn't perfect but yeah too low imo. The turnaround time was slightly fast than anticipated.

I like it is possible to scan the qr code, and find out exactly where on the card the damage is. I prefer raw cards, but if i will grade in future i will probably use ags or/and cgc. Depends what company improves quality, service and correct grading each time on the same card fastest. Thanks for sharing and congrats with good grades!

I used PSA for 17 years and after my last three quarterly specials took 16 months to get back I've hit the brakes. My grades were solid with the exception I got some cards mislabeled, slabbed backwards and a few not even graded with no reason given. I've started using HGA for PC stuff using custom labels and CSG/CGC & SGC for everything else.

I'm not familiar with AGS but I know CGC 10s do not come as easily as those did. Even if you've carefully pre-graded your cards, only a very small percentage (>5%) will come back as 10s of any kind. It seems like AGS is closer to PSA in its grading.

Yup sent some cards to psa 3 months ago and got them back one of my cards got graded a 5 and there was nothing wrong with it no major issues should have gotten at least a 9 or higher. Sent a email to psa about this see if I get anything back

MANA Grading uses AI dragon eye. Also written explanations and full HD scans that display every minute detail. I'll only buy MANA graded cards. By far the most accurate.

@@DrApplesauceTwo platinum onyx label of certain cards MANA will fetch more than a BGS Black label. AI grading is the future. PSA prices are tanking on raw cards that are going up.. but yeah, I'd maybe pay $3K for a black label Umbreon Vmax alt. But I'd easily drop 6K for a MANA flawless. If a card is "perfect" I want proof. Looking back beauty black label is about $5K.. a MANA platinum onyx, offers at 5 Ethereum... Or $7500. Don't worry about what the masses are doing. Cards are worth what the highest bidder is willing to pay..

I got a nice AGS 10 moonbreon at Denver collect a con :) happy with it I saw a psa 10 moonbreon with a burn on umbreons chest I was like what?!?? $1,300 for that psa card or $1,100 for an actual perfect card I chose the $1,100 and the money wasn’t the factor .

Great video! My favorites are the Japanese Birthday Pikachu and the Gold Snorlax from Chilling Regin. One of my collecting goals for this year is to get a few of my favorite cards graded and after seeing your video I may send them to AGS. Loved the video. I do have to say that cards with a crease though shouldn’t be getting an 8. I have seen issues with all major grading companies but PSA and Beckett still the most trusted in my opinion. As always grade your cards where u like and grade the cards u enjoy. Keep up the great content

PSA has a very bad rep right now but people continue because of the name and their hopes of a 10. I feel like their $18 per card thing is because of the market they’re seeing with their dip in submissions and the bad rep they know they’re getting. Then add the FBI investigation into the equation and how people are putting lawsuits together from what I’ve heard towards their business ethics and policies. And then their horrible horrible turnaround time I don’t see myself using them anytime soon or ever at least for the foreseeable future.

CGC and BGS sub grades are amazing and handy. I think personally any BGS 9.5 should have an equivalent value of a PSA 10 so sad to see them underrated on the market but on the other hand it's gains for anyone searching for a mint card without paying the big PSA price tag

I agree about the PSA bad quality control, but i hate the idea of Robot grading. Its just my opinion, but its not fun for me to submit 50 "modern" cards to a company and maybe get one 10 out of all them. Plus, AGS doesnt have the merit to give you that value-added either yet if ever.

But they do. Looks at comps on AGS 10s and PSA 10s. AGS 10s are selling for slightly less, but its much cheaper to grade and WAY FASTER to get back

I do think there was a pretty noticeable decline in consistency and accuracy for a while there. I have watched a good number of submission videos recently and things seem to be mostly back on track. My suspicion is that when they were swamped with a massive backlog, they were just pushing cards through the process as quickly as they could to try and get their heads back above water. Unfortunately, this led to a large amount of cards being graded too poorly or too highly during that time. It seems like most of the videos I have seen where people's cards are poorly graded were submissions that took months, if not more than a year, to return. These were often sent out just prior to the price hikes/shutdowns, or in some cases, during them. I'm not trying to make any excuse for poor quality on their end, but I don't think it is necessarily an ongoing, systemic issue.

theyre still grading like shit got back multiple big orders recently. cards damaged due to adhesive now on the cards and slabbed, they creased cards and sent them as 8s which make no sense, they even admitted to one single card damaged psa 10 Charizard they made an 8 and paid me 35 bucks, absolute joke

Psa got me with a bunch of my hitmonchan collection cards I wouldn't care if it was for selling or something but it's my damn collection that I waited over a year and a half for I wouldn't send anything to grade that I wouldn't believe was a 9 or better unless it's wotc holos Psa's bubble finally popping Finally the day has come when psa starts g

Meh those labels look a bit Windows 95, and isn't that the company that graded the fake 1st ed stamp cards? Not that I advocate for PSA at all, need a Pokémon specific company with a ton of Pro equipment, input, and a huge amount of funding to come in and stomp it lol

They graded The fake first edition stamps just like PSA and Beckett and CGC did as well. Every grading company got duped by that. However, AGS was the only one to come out and admit it and offer solutions to help people that were screwed over by the situation, and then followed up with marketing strategies showing how they were going to make sure that never happens in the future

Yeah I just sent in a set of 20 cards and received 6s and 7s on cards that went straight from pack to sleeve to psa. Where I got a gem 10 on a card that I bought from ebay and was handled 🤣. Frankly psa pokemon card grading is arbitrary and a joke.
