PSA: Sexual Misconduct of John Barrowman

In wake of the sexual misconduct allegations that have come out against Doctor Who actor Noel Clarke and issues of systematic abuse in TV, I want to raise awareness of the inappropriate behaviour of John Barrowman, including indecently exposing himself on the set of Torchwood when portraying Captain Jack Harkness. Please spread the information in the links below.

What gets me is that the BBC knew about this and only acted when it went mainstream. What else are they allowing people to get away with?

It should have been dealt with sooner. Supposedly Barrowman was reprimanded on at least one occasion but we know he kept on doing it, so it clearly wasn't enough

@@MidnightChimey He clearly just had a slap on the wrist. I watched the interview with Noel Clarke (both disgusting) and I am shocked that John did not get fired after that. Sexual assault occurred when he placed his genitals on the shoulder of a colleague.

Barrowman and clark's behaviour should be career ending. People in powerful positions should never be allowed to get away with this shit. It is abuse.

Unlike Clarke Barrowman has never had crimiinal charges made against him: and, when pressed - apologized. Am so-so sick of this public trial on here...

The point of this is to encourage people to come forward about their experiences and feel comfortable they will be listened to. People should be held accountable

@@MidnightChimey My only claim is that he could be exagerrating how extreme John was. But that's merely my guess. I wasn't there, I don't know.

Cast members mentioned this in numerous interviews on BBC shows, the difference being that they were talking about it affectionally, not negatively. Should he be witch-hunted for it 15 years later? No. The BBC have already dealt with it and he apologised for his humour at the time. That’s the important thing here - humour. He wasn’t being a predator like Noel Clarke has alleged to have been.

Gosh, just heard about this. I can’t believe he keeps saying it was all in fun and just a joke. People who are adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse would absolutely be traumatized by this. I was a big fan of his. He says it’s not fair for a 35 year career to be destroyed. Really? Too bad he couldn’t keep it in his pants.

The worst part is his lack of any apparent remorse and not being prepared to take accountability for his actions. It's all very well saying his career shouldn't be destroyed, but he won't even apologise

I met JB at fan expo and for my photo op I wanted to strike a pose but instead of listening to me he grabbed me tight and hugged me then told me it’s okay to be gay I , I’m from a small town and totally felt horrible

Being Gay is not a get out of Jail free card, although Mr Barrowman thinks it is. He should be charged like any other member of the public would be for Indecent exposure.

I am normally don't jump to conclusions because the human race surprises me. Though I am glad to hear someone not excusing horrible actions with minority cards. A lot of modern politics have devolved into who is the most sympathetic with their minority cards. The worst offenders are with minorities; it is appalling how much ableism towards the autistic/aspergers that I see it is not all coming from conservatives the liberals are doing it too they just try to sugar coat it and try and justify it.

15year ago is long time John always had a wild sense of humor and he blatenly tells fans you touch Me I'm gonna touch you. He said in interviews it wa 15yr ago everyone making these protest weren't their I agree its to tell a story tp get clicks and views. He basically bent over backwards to be amazingly avaliable for his fans. So this just a grav for attention and click bait
