Can't believe we're already on #36 of 365 Days of Plants! Days are flying by! This episode is featuring Pseudorhipsalis ramulosa, which is colloquially known as "red mistletoe cactus"...I'd imagine because like mistletoe, it grows in trees, and it also reddens in the sun.
In this video I go over some basic care tips including where this plant grows natively, where I'm growing it in my home, propagation, watering, lighting and more.
You can check out more of these videos here and on my IGTV @homesteadbrooklyn.
Featured plant:

You need to give them direct morning sun. That's enough to turn the leaves red. The white berries on the red leaves look so beautiful.

I’m in a subtropical part of Australia and mine like water! More than I thought they would tolerate. I give them cactus fertiliser beads and a top up of compost every now and then. Excellent video Summer. Thankyou.

@@plantsandcarrots5233 I got mine off of eBay but it had a miner pest problem, I was able to quickly get rid of them though.

I have one on the way! Been wanting one but these types of plants are still hard to find in SC. I found one at Josh's Frogs. Can't wait for it to get here.

I ordered mine thru Steve’s Leaves. He ships smaller plants , but VERY healthy ! Mine arrived about 10 days ago , will keep in grow pot for couple more weeks , to acclimate . Live in central Fl . Will be hanging around with my other plants in a screened porch 👍🏻

Ordered one last Fall, it’s still in the nursery pot too, put it outside this spring and it’s really taken off. A few new branches and all of the new growth is coming out pink/red. I remember seeing a video of this plant that was green with red tips and that’s what made me want it.

begging for one on your tetrastigma. just got one and there’s not a lot of info online. I remember yours is over your table which is why i got it since it evidently doesn’t need high light. I love your videos thank you for your passion and knowledge!

4 years in the same nursery pot? That poor thing! It needs to be repotted into some fresh soil. It will look much healthier. No disrespect but I hate to see it struggling.

Mine looks similar to yours but much smaller - very twiggy. I've put some stems at the top hoping it will fill out a bit; it does seem to be more difficult to keep happy than other jungle cacti I have.

I believe the genus changed to Kimnachia in honor of the late Myron Kimnach.

it looks sad and neglected, maybe if we could see it from below, we would have a better impression

I think it's just very underwatered due to the soil being old and compacted. A nice mix of sand and potting soil, and regular watering keeps mine looking great.
