me and older brother used to play the demo for this game. you could only use sol and ky and one stage but man it was so fun

This game blew my my best friend and my mind back in the day. We were playing Samurai Shodown 3 on PS1 and Marvel vs Street Fighter in arcades. A classmate told us about this game and brought it over to the house in 2002. It quickly became a staple in our friend circle. When GGX2 got announced, and we finally got our hands on it, everyone in our friend circle flipped out. I remember being hella stoked about EX Baiken because she played like Baiken in the PS1 original, just less cheap.

I actually played this before Guilty Gear X was a thing. I loved it. So damn fun

I remember being able to pop the game disc into a regular CD player and blasting the soundtrack

So sad that you guys dont have Baiken Justice and Testament unlocked. 😭

15:10 - 15:43 To answer your question Steeb, Kliff was canonically killed by Justice in what was their 18th and final duel during the first game. His last appearance in XX Accent Core is but a flashback to the day Sol left the Sacred Order and stole the Fireseal with Kliff’s blessing, as well as a retelling of the events of the first game, which predictably ends with his death at the hands of Justice. So yea, Kliff story-wise was never seen again because he’s already dead after the first game, same with Justice, who was killed by Sol.

Saying this game is "rough" is an understatement. This game is like a sand paper condom...

I actually like buff Axl more than the modern Axl design, but I prefer Faust over Dr. Baldhead designwise.

I'm disappointed you didn't choose Kliff's stage :/ He has a pretty good theme that you don't hear much. You guys missed out.

man, first GG is so slow compared to the other ones! but all the shit that makes it great were there from the sart!and i love GG1 millia for...reasons....non-moe may actually looks cool! much better than later designs!

I had this bad-boy and loved it!! I am glad to see the new ones have come so far by keeping the soul of GG and play better and better.

first time seeing this game. I started with XX. they certainly got better over the years lol

Loved this back in the day. A little disappointed you didn't even try all the characters. Also each character could level up a specific special move to level 3, which made it extremely powerful. A feature I miss in later GG games. Also, I miss Kliff, I think he was cool with his oversized sword, or what you would call it. He also has some insane damaging moves.

This game was the shit and every design character was top notch. Hate what guilty gear became, because in what the design was, the gameplay and the moves, Ill always prefer this over revelator. Maybe it was slow, may be it wasnt perfect but man...the music the design...the moves..Ill always prefer this ROUGH SHIT
