2:45 helped me a lot. That's probably the hardest part about replacing the PSP GO battery and it was nicely zoomed in.

I bought a used psp go a while back and the battery only lasted an hour on a full charge. I got a new battery for it and was able to change it without any issue. It works good and now it lasts up to 3 hours on full.

I wish i've seen this video before i tried because I unfortunately messed following the Ifixit guide and the connector in the logicboard got removed together with the battery. I didn't know thay I just have to pull it away, not pry it upwards like in the pictures shown. I was able to solder it back, but I'm not particularly skilled on it that time and it was done poorly, there's a slight wobbling but it works, and I just used cement glue to stop the wobbling.

If you have a psp where the disc drive doesn't work you might want to try to replace it with a larger battery. One that requires you to take out the drive to fit it. You have to use the circuit board from the old battery.

Would it be possible to connect a correctly-rated external power supply of some kind to the internal battery socket, to power the PSP Go continuously during play connected to a TV?

Mine doesn't work. Works when plugged in to power point but brand new battery does nothing. I pushed it in fully as you did also.... it does work sometimes but then doesn't so I'm guessing it's a wire in battery ?

I remember when I bought this lol, lost it in hospital was so pissed man. I got the Sony psphone though, I doubt it works anymore I need a new battery but I don’t think I’d play it cos it’s so outdated now

does a bad a battery cause it to turn on. with display back lit but nothing then shut off. bluetooth and wifi light flash

that's a different issue, I think you should try holding down the shoulder buttons while turning it on to see if that does anything

Every battery has potential of bloat of left the go is not taken care of, like for example. Left on the sun for too long. But most batteries should be good.
