Micro SD to Memory Stick Pro Duo adapters should be very cheap on eBay so lets say a 32GB micro SD card is $10 and the adapter is $3 that would be $13 if you round it up to a smooth number like 15 it’s more accurate since taxes
My PSP 1000 (that I bought new like 13ish years ago) has broke/cracked not only adapters, but the actual memory stick. I have a few that have been super glued. Now I have an adapter and a samsung 128 gig SD card and its more than enough really.
So I have this problem where everything is formatted at Fat32, and the PSP is all updated to 6.61, the problem is if I connect it to the PC there's no files what so ever , and using the format memory stick system on the psp it says the card isnt inserted, but it some how reads its space under the Game tab. So any suggestions really need help on this one!
@@daddyd-_-6821 nope it turns out that my adapter was defective. I tried everything, there was nothing wrong with the micro card, I tried formatting in all sorts of ways. But, sadly none of the files from the psp were showing when using the adapter.
My PSP1000 doesn't read my memory pro adapter. Im using a 64gb microsd and I've formatted the card to Fat32. I've also tested the adapter with a USB reader to make sure that the adapter is working as well. I've even used the "tape" trick, but that doesn't work either.
Update: the stock firmware 3.5X was too old to read the larger storage cards. I went ahead and purchased an original memory stick card (2gb) for the psp and a memory stick reader reader both off of Ebay. I formatted the stick on the psp and then downloaded the firmware onto the stick and updated the psp that way.
the white ones are flimsy and cheap as all hell. mine pretty much disintegrated inside my psp after 2 months of literally just sitting on a shelf. the black single ones are so far worth the money and pretty durable compared to the doubles.
@@usmanazhar9170 But the adapter with two memories slots is pretty faulty compared to the one with a single slot, and larger capacity means larger reading and loading times.
Hey, I wanted to ask. Why do I have to reformat everytime I take out the SD card from the adapter? I've been trying to solve this issue for awhile now since I don't have a card reader that reads MS. The only solution I came to is that the card reader that I use reformats it somehow when I add files through my pc, idk what to do except buy a card reader with MS but if you know how to fix this problems please tell me. My USB socket on the PSP is broken
Hello, I would like to know How fast is it to read and write? SD as fast as MS PRO ? Because I play games GTA The picture is blurry and makes me dizzy and give me a headache. Can hardly play at all Do you think it has any effect?
i have one right now, and 3 of my games out of 11 is blank for some reason. it isnt corrupted, but its just a white image with a psp silhouette on the image on the xmb screen. what does it mean and what can i do?
My PSP 10001 won't work with a memory card adapter it works with the pro duo every time, the PSP was barely used when I got it, do you why it won't work with the adapter and micro SD card? I've tried more than one adapter and more than one micro SD card still won't work
My SanDisk 128 GB doesn't work with PSP 3000 even if I format it as FAT32 64 kbs with Rufus. The PSP it is seeing it to format and after It format the microSD the PSP doesn't recognize it anymore.
So i have to update my psp in order to make a psn account. I need 32gb to update. What can i do? My memory stick only has 30? What do i have to buy or upgrade?
Bought a CFW 1000 off eBay and it came with a 128 gb micro sd pro adapter. I can’t seem to take the micro sd out of the actual black adapter piece. Feels like I’m going to break it if I tug on it, but from this video and some others it seems rather easy to slide out.
Mr. James , Question I have a Samsung micro sd card 256gb when I format it on pc is fine but when I format it in pop its only showing 14gb out go 256gb not sure why but I have a Samsung pro plus 256GB A2 V30 card ??
Just recieve my order online White colour adapter like you have in video and 2 16gb memory card. I Inserted both 16gb in slots and i format it but it said 16gb only sees how do i fix it?
When I put in a memory stick the orange light on my 1004 does not blink... I have tried with both the original memory stick (old one I thought was broken) and the sd to duo adapter, is my card reader broken?
im in the same situation. duo card adaptor is bust, so buying the single ones instead so i can set my mate up with a PSP and also refresh my 2 panda psp's =)
I've tried so many videos but eveytime i format my 62gb sundisk sd card to fat 32 using rufus and try to format it using my psp I always get 11gb available 😔. I'm also running update 6.61 cfw pro. Any advise?
Hey. I have a hacked PSP and wondering if I can just copy the files from the memory card I already have in the PSP straight over to my new one after formatting it to fat32 on PC and formatting in the PSP console? I assume once that’s done. I can just copy the files over using my PC? Is this correct ?
I have two different sd cards that are different brands an sizes, and on both of them, ISO files and media files run just fine, but homebrew like emulators and custom games don't boot up. Is there something I can do to fix this or does homebrew just not run on sd cards? The same emulators run just fine on an original psp memory stick mind you.
I don’t understand what’s up with my psp but the memory stick already inside of it is of a different shape to the one shown in the video. I’ve purchased a memory card that is identical to the one in this video but it won’t click into place when I insert it. As far as I can tell the memory card slot in my psp is a different shape from all other models.
just to answer u i formatted another microsd directly from my psp (so no copy-pasting the contents of an existing microsd i used to install the cfw) and it ran my pirated games fine. It was just missing some folders in the psp folder but that’s all :/
Did you compare if 2x 128's in a duals kit were any slow or faster then 1x 256 on a slim? I still have a pile of those Pro Stick 32 & 64 but they never realy came down in price. So this is much better.
You have to plug it in the psp with the adaptor then go to System settings and choose format mamory stick™ and it should be done hope you find it usefull
after you format the micro SD within the SD adapter to PSP format is it still possible to put that micro SD into a card reader and plug it in your computer? or after that the only way would be connecting the PSP to PC via USB?
This is a month old, but I'd like to reply for future reference. You *can* plug in your SD card into the computer like you did the first time. Memory cards are made to be viewed and changed, like copying files for backup.
I have a 256GB SD and this adapter and I cant get it to work. Ive tried formatting within the psp and formatting to fat32 on the computer neither work. Im using Pro Infinity CFW and 1000 model. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
use black single adaptor. See my comments above posts how it worked for me. Format in psp first, then leave card in, plug usb cable to pc with psp turned on still, and open MiniAide Fat32 format, bring up the psp hdd. You'll see it says unformatted in the description (even despite it was formatted in the psp just prior!). Then format it with MiniAide as 256gb. It will have a cluster size of 64 automatically also... and hit apply and format it. Then your done. Reboot the psp, and start copying on your back ups or what ever and youll have 256. Same can prob be done for 512 or 1tb etc Micro SD cards Split all files into folders, to avoid slow down. I ran 256 with no noticeable lag at all :))
Formatting on psp adds new files in memory card. I've seen a video about this and the guy in video plugs in the sd card to pc which formatted on psp then shows ISO ant other files that psp added.
hey James how do you change the placement of the clock of the start screen on the vita while making a custom theme? how do you change the color of the wifi icon on the bar where ut shows the open apps?
Has your new adapter held up well TechJames? I’m thinly of getting the micro sd adapter but wondering if finding a real pro duo would be more dependable. Thanks for all your great videos.
@@termateo6700 I ended up going with the single slot micro sd adapter from Amazon. It actually is really good. I have a lot of games on it I just went with a 64 gb micro sd.
Could you be kind enough to upload a new HAN v3 or v2 version for the 4.84.2 with the han loader offline and adding multiman please. Because i tried but im kind of lost. Thanks.
Hi James love the videos. I’m having some issues when I try to play an ISO psp game. I have a 128 GB image maker pro scan disk and formatted it to phat 32. It shows up as 119GB free space on my psp. But when I place a psp iso file into the iso folder and try and open it in the psp game area it saids no game file found. But it shows 118GB free space not the 119GB free space that was on there before I added the iso file to the psp iso folder. Any ideas why I can’t get it to work? Love the videos! Thanks
I need a PSP memory card that will read perfectly fine, and has larger space in it. I’m trying to download Tomb Raider Anniversary, but it won’t let me. I don’t live in the EU, I live in NA.
i really enjoy all your videos, so clear and helpful. I am unable to use my duo adapter with my micro sandisk ultra XC I, what could be a casue when it isnt the adapter?
@@skoufalotlord1895 I just ended up buying a modified PSP street E1000 it had some games installed in the original/proprietary PSP memory card. I got some physical copies of games too.
I'd love to know how to get all that back because I tried to put a 256 into a single slot adapter and all that happened was it formatting to 59 gigs leaving the rest of the space unused. That's why I just stick with 128s.
I had problems using it format 256gb alone in black adaptor, and problems even recognising a 256 in the double white adaptor (couldnt recognise to format). Maybe the double whites dont go as high as 256? I did want twin 256's. I got 256gb working no probs, buy using black single adaptor, format first with PSP, says on psp it has 256 space, but i heard it can have corruption when trying to copy material onto psp, and best to do the following, which i did after... as i didnt want probs After psp formats it -> MiniAide Fat32 formatter on pc (With PSP plugged into pc with cable - with memory card inserted in psp) So there i have it, 256gb in a single adaptor. I copied my previous 128gb backup onto it, and tested last night, gaming OK with double storage i had. Now to try get 512gb working somehow, i dont like my chances with double adaptor, i might soon buy a single 512gb card when they get cheaper, so i can run heaps of PS1, Emus, and heaps of PSP on it :)
Anything for the go? I’ve been trying to find a video on that system for a memory stick but I never find them or know what to do to add more room to my psp go
@@BillNey732 Though similar in size to the Micro SD card, the Micro M2 has a different form factor, a unique pin configuration and its own memory formatting. Because of these differences, the Micro SD and Micro M2 are not cross-compatible.
@@retroquest3579 Yeah, it’s because the memory card adapter limited to 128gb. I bought a old Sony camera memory card adapter but it was 25€ in eBay, it supports up to 512 gb.
