I highly recommend watching this moving 8 Mile. It is a fantastic movie and you can peer into the struggle he had to endure and how he prevailed.

In the movie when you see him writing a song he is actually writing this song. You can faintly hear little bits of the song as he is working on it throughout the movie and the full song plays as the credits start rolling. At this time he was sleeping like one to three hours a night because he was helping write the script, recording the movie, writing and recording songs, and editing; mastering; and producing the soundtrack all at once. This is the time when he got hooked on sleep medication because he’d have to use it to take naps between scenes during the day.

This is amazing! As a dedicated Eminem fan since 1999 I See a great amount of reaction videos. Yours is by far my favorite chanel! I remember back boxing I won my first fight lost my 2nd fight then my third fight. The forth fight I was so worried about losing again being embarrassed in front off friends and family etc. While I was warming up I had this song on my headphones right until my trainer started doing padwork etc to get my muscles moving etc.i went out in that fight and destroyed my opponent. Almost like this song gave me tunnel vision and the motivation to forget my fears and do what I had to do in that ring

Yes! Back to the B-rabbit 8mile days, where "Shady" was born. This is one of many, I committed to Ver Batem memory. Highly recommend that you go watch "8-Mile", to get some context into Eminem's early life. Furthermore, Eminem turned down the role to be in "Southpaw", that Jake Gyllenhaal ended up starring in. However, he instead, agreed to do the whole soundtrack for that movie. Not to mention, the Venom and Venom II soundtrack (highly recommend "Last One Standing" from Venom II 🔥🔥🔥).

He also wrote this between takes on the set of 8mile movie and there is an alternative version of this song that he don’t remember doing

I was 11 when this film came out and the emotions I felt then have stuck with me to this very day. If anything at 31, I just feel it more intensely on a deeper level. Both Eminem and the film are impactful in ways I don't yet understand within myself. Anyway, 8 Mile is one of my top favourite films of all time❤‍🔥A timeless classic.

This is one of the greatest songs because of the message, but It gets insane once you analyze the wordplay.

I played this song 🎧 all the way to a wrestling 🤼‍♀️ tournament 🏟 my senior & all the way back to my high school 🏫 over & over! Now 20 years later @ 37 years old I still get chills listening to it

The first verse is about Jimmy Smith Jr AKA B-Rabbit, the character Em played in the movie 8 Mile. That's why it's in third person. The second verse is Em imagining Rabbit finding fame after the movie ends and living a life very like his own. The third verse is Em talking about himself, so it switches to first person.

his songs Rabbit Run and 8 mile off the soundtrack for this film are hugely inspiring and give you that feeling you can make anything happen if you push for it, highly recomend checking them both out.

It is one of the best songs ever, Em was on fire when wrote this. But you know what I listen to when I need to really get pumped up to do something? "Can't Be Touched" by Roy Jones Jr., and yes, that is the boxer. That one really makes you feel like he probably felt in the ring, invincible.
