I think the end its about him knowing how he uses his "monster" to write for him. He has come to a point were he says he is "friend with the monster" but when he finally meet him, he is caged. The only way that inner voice has to express is writing songs, like a slave, he is the creative mind and the inspiration. And when he gives those lyrics to Eminem, he just pick it up, save it for later and leave him behind as he always do. He feels his inner pain and trauma is now a slave of the market, his fans and himself, because we all want to hear how break he is to relate, but nobody see how those lyrics are a call for help.
This was the first song that made me put Eminem on my music radar. This became my theme song when I burnt out professionally. Eons better now. Sometimes music is a great coping mechanism. Thank you so much for this reaction!
I love your reactions, especially when you pause and rewind and reflect on the lyrics. :) I feel like the video says he has the monster under control - he still uses that side of him (for lyrics), but it does not control him, he controls it. By the way, this is full of visual references to old videos of his - My Name Is, Lose Yourself, when he performed Stan live with Elton John, and The Way I Am music video.
such a great song. rihanna and eminem are such an amazing duo. absolutely love the hook on this song. but of course eminem is incredible with his lyrics. thank you for breaking it down cause there’s no way i can keep up with (and understand) everything he says lol.
Dude I relate to this song, I’ve been stressed sense I was in the womb (multiple abusive situations for my mother), when I talk to others bout my experience’s and habits I’ve gained from my experiences, they look at me as if I lost my mind -_- and have actually asked me how I’m still alive 💀
Some people forget Em was chasing his rap career before the internet and smart phones! Then NWA took it across the pond in 1990...and then Em made it WORLD wide. They had NO IDEA what it was gonna turn into back then FR 💯 I know bc I grew up on Em and hip hop since the 80's and it was mostly in the USA back then. What a time to be alive 🔥🙏🏼
I think that Eminem visits that dark part of him, this monster in the cage, to get new lyrics. This monster is dressed as Slim Shady, his dark persona. This music say that "his is friend with the monster", so iven he put slim in a cage deep down his mind, he often visit him to write new things. [sorry for my english, i'm brazillian]
It's Bebe Rhexa that's singing the 'Ooh-oh-oohs' in the background. This was originally Bebe's song but she had to sell the rights to it. Em loved it and kept her backing vocals, because he recognised her talent
Love your videos, been watching for a while, ive requested this before but if you want your mind blown by a story song, take a listen to “Dance with the devil” from immortal technique
Damn it. Thought it was gonna be a special surprise Juice WRLD day and it was gonna be Halloween(Trick or Treat) the unreleased Juice Song. This is a great option too I just thought it was gonna be a special Juice WRLD day.
This is Marshal Eminem putting slim shady to bed and him growing as a person father ext but he always has that slim shady in his mind that he keeps under control that’s why I love the video more than the song
Could you do the song lost within by fivefold. The song has helped pull me from dark places a few times. Same with the band silent theory and their sone fragile minds
Pls react to BTS!! They talk a lot about loving yourself. I personally also love siga which you’ve already reacted to and he had to deal with depression and anxiety so his lyrics are really deep and personal
You shouldn’t do this. If you’re an actual therapist or psychiatrist/psychologist. You’re really blurring the lines of your boundaries of what’s ethical. You don’t know him and you’ve never spoken to this person. To make assumptions based on songs and lyrics is really really really unethical on your part. You shouldn’t even be practicing as a therapist. You are 100% not board-certified, you probably have at the most a four-year degree in psychology. You most certainly don’t have an MD as a psychiatric therapist. So you should not even ethically be doing what you are doing. Do you need a disclaimer at the beginning of every one of your videos, saying this is just strictly your own opinion, and not a real therapeutic opinion whatsoever.
