A little overdue, but hopefully worth the wait! Notes: Goris merely has an intuitive feeling, also known as "animal instinct" when his clan is destroyed, which to me doesn't make him a Psyker. Keeng Rat is a rat that communicates with other rats and thanks to the FEV is able to speak to humans, once again not a Psyker. Also, all protagonists can be considered Psykers with the animal friend perk, which is pretty cool! As for Oswald bringing dead feral ghouls back to life, this is something all glowing ghouls can do and is more of a physical side effect of becoming a glowing one, rather than a psychic ability, but feel free to try and change my mind, enjoy! :D

The mysterious Stranger could be a Psyker as well, considering he always knows where you are and is able to show up out of nowhere and assist you.

i always believed Mama murphy's stories for one reason: shes still alive. you dont see many elderly in the wasteland for a reason. clearly, she knew what she was doing.

I'll admit, I never took any of the psychic NPCs in the games seriously when I played the games, and just thought they were insane.

You made a small mistake with mama murphy, her powers didn’t come from the chems, she always had them, if you talk to her you can learn that she had them but when they freaked out a lover she would suppress them until eventually she needed the chems to release them again, Great video though! :)

the nightkin your supposed to kill in novac that keeps killing brahmin can be heard talking about your companions if you hang around him during the day when hes invisible tho he just says vague things about them but stuff he shouldnt really know

Turns out, you have to complete 'Crazy, Crazy, Crazy' by repairing Rhonda in order for the nightkin to be non-hostile in Black Rock Cave. Looks like I'm gonna have to start ANOTHER playthrough to confirm this. Darn...

It's a shame that the Psykers are less present in Fallout games, they are definitely some of the more interestting individuals within the Fallout series.

Very interesting. However, it brings up an interesting concept. VATS. What if VATS is a research project that Vault-Tec instituted on almost all its vaults as part of a research project into psychic phenomena. I know the idea may seem a little flaky, but perhaps there is something there. We really are still scratching the surface of how much research Vault-Tec was doing.

One can argue that the player characters from Fallout 1, 3, NV, and 4 are Psykers as those games contain the "Animal Friend" perk that turns creatures non-hostile. And in some cases, are able to command said creatures into aiding the player.

Psykers would a be cool addition to a future fallout game - think about it, the design principle of the dragon shouts from skyrim but working like the plasmids from bio shock. One thing tho, wouldn't They have to change the name give how synonymous the term is with the 40K brand?

Courier Six could be a Psyker too. This idea coming from my headcanon of when you pick Wild Wasteland. Where due to the damage caused by the gunshot wounds Courier Six took from Benny's assassination attempt, their weak/dormant Psyker powers to begin going out of control - thus causing all the brain damage-induced hallucinations they experience through their travels in the Mojave to become real.

Do they ever use the term "Psyker" after Fallout 2? I guess it is rare enough that the term hasn't spread as far.

In Steel Reign, you can read about how the experimenters inside Vault 96 made some psyker animals that had the same abilities as the Master's psykers in Fallout 1

I kinda hope Psykers get more of a spotlight in the next fallout game. I don't want a Skyrim "You're the dragonborn" situation going on where theres a series of psychic powers you can unlock by going to specific spots, but I would love like, maybe one companion with those types of powers.

I wish we could use phyker powers in fallout. Imagine being able to make peoples heads explode like with the mezmatron

In Fallout Tactics there was also a tribe of raiders which had a few members capable of controlling some local fauna.

Honestly I love magic in Fallout, it's just kinda there. Not really common at all and usually the result of FEV (Honestly I love FEV too, it's just the 'a wizard did it' of Fallout) but it's undeniably there. Allows for freaky moments in an otherwise "mundane" world.

I'd love Psyker options for the PC in Fallout 5, which should center around the cosmic/eldritch lore from the Cabot quests just like 4 was centered around the institute lore from the Harkness quest in Fallout 3. 3 was centered around the Vault-Tec experiments hinted in Fallout 2, which was centered around U.S. Government shenanigans hinted at in Fallout 1.

You're out exploring an old enclave bunker, descending into the darkness... And after a while, you hear something running at you in the dark coming closer, screaming at the top of their lung: *"WITNESS YER DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM"*

would love for Bethesda to allow a spin off game that focused on the more supernatural aspect of Fallout, that and the Lovecraftian stuff is really worth exploring

I wish Fallout would explore more super-powered individuals within the lore. Like perhaps discovering a real cosmonaut from space that was a top secret Russian space program, or actually assembling the Unstoppables since the Mistress of Mystery and Silver Shroud were active post-fallout. I added a mod that let's me equip Lorenzo's crown and telekinetic ability that essentially gives me a psyker's playthrough and a super suit, ontop of the Institute discovery story, stopping the Mechanist, and becoming the Shroud, it feels like my character has actually had to delve into anti-heroism and explore cases of supernatural.

Wait, I thought (insane) Psykers with reality-bending psionic powers are an iconic part of _Warhammer 40K_ universe? What the heck are they doing in the _Fallout_ universe?? Admittedly, Fallout's retro-scifi Americana-themed universe also has alien Greys and Brains in Jars, and Fallout ghouls seem to be a radioactive version of Lovecraft's Ghouls from the Cthulhu Mythos (at least the non-feral ones). Fallout 4 added Cthulhu Mythos-esque ancient gods (the buried "stone statue head" down in the quarry) and Lorenzo Cabot, the quasi-immortal guy in the mansion with his weird alien-tech crown. (Let's be honest, the Lost Alien City he found under the sands of the Rub' al-Khali desert on the Arabian peninsula is a reference to Lovecraft's Lost City of Irem, the City of Pillars.) But big-eyed bald aliens, "zombies" created by radioactivity and weird ancient alien artifacts are all sufficiently generic parts of scifi/fantasy pop culture by now. _Psyker_ however is a specific term and concept from _Warhammer 40K._ Weird.

Fallout 1 and 2, and even tactics a little bit had such amazing and in depth worlds. All the small details and interesting characters. NV and 3 really solidified the factions and their dynamic whereas 4 and 76 polished the system and combat. If only we could bring together all the developers from all the games and just have them make one perfect fallout with a modern engine and modding capabilities; it would be amazing.

I'm surprised Bethesda didn't try to have the main villain of any of their games try and forcefully psychically ascend humanity. We've covered biological ascension with the super mutants, we have a technological ascension with the synths.

Why do ppl want lovecraftian stuff in fallout? The whole world and its history is horrible enough in the fallout universe, lovecraftian aspects would just make it too mystical/cosmic and away from tribalism and survivalism we saw in the 2nd fallout

Now when I think about it Red Lucy from Thorn (new vegas) never shares the secret how the animals are tamed. I know she is rasing them from eggs but still. I would trust a crododile even if I raided it.

I think the interesting thing is that with Mama Murphy she says you need to find your son this would completely blow out of the water any theories that the hero of fallout 4 is a synth because she doesn't tell you that you were created in a lab.
