I checked your videos and didn't see a how-to video for how to do this. I have the general idea for what to do it but however you did this is excellent. The texture and depth appear uniform even on curves. I'm afraid if I tried something like that it would turn into a jagged mess. Any advice like tips or recommendations for what to practice on? Thank you.
hello which tip on the woodburner did you use ,,,,mine came with 4 tips pointy ,round and left and right shading tips,,i cant seem to make it look as nice as yours came out,,,thanks man,,good vids,,thanks
The tip on mine looks like a Aspen leaf. It's broad and flat then narrows down to a fine point. It is angled at 45º to the burner, so it is comfortable and easy to see your work. I can use the side of it to make deep aggressive lines or the pointed tip to do finer work. It's just a cheap $7(says $9 but its always on sale) wood burner from Harbor Freight. The copper color one is the tip I use. www.harborfreight.com/5-in-1-hobby-woodburner-38593.html
Finally got a steel lower. What a difference. I bought a stock set that came with a small black grip(for steel frame) years ago. It definitely gave me the wrong impression. Got a green grip that is a completely different size with the new frame and it fits my hand perfectly. Wish I would have taken your advice sooner.
