Aloha Hui!
Today is a day of fishing struggles, which I put full blame on DJ Spit Master J-Rad who decided it would be an awesome idea to bring bananas with us! The beginning of the morning puako fishing sesh was full of dangles, and re-rigs. Starting off we send out some heavy dunking rods and get to a bit of whipping. We get a few hookups which either break off, or dangle up. Come the sun we manage to start hooking onto of all things… eels and honu… We take care of the honu with care and the eel has become bait for our next adventures. Jarad manages to lure out a solid size pufferfish which he brings all the way in and lands! His largest fish to date. Following that things start to look better, we dispose of the bananas Jarad brought via dedicating to them and eating them, and switch spots to target whipping. The move was smart because we start to land some fun fish! Starting with a solid size ‘awela (Christmas Wrasse) and a bunch more fish which will need to be seen on…. PART 2!!!
