His attorneys saw him outside the doors. The male attorney knew he was there and ran out the side door so his client could not see him. Worse yet, the female attorney is now a civil rights attorney for the attorney general. Everyone involved should be disbarred, fired and have to pay any damages this man wins, and he will win millions.

@@Danimal-D-Animal Kevin was a shy, quiet but smart guy. Everyone knew about Amys promiscuity and tried to warn kevin. They married anyways and kevin jr was born within a year. She went back to sleeping around so kevin filed for divorce. During the divorce he figured she was already seeing another guy and that didnt bother him. But when he found out it was his lawyer, he got another. The new lawyer demanded kevin got full custody because of her infidelity. Then he added conflict of interest against his old attorney, which I believe got him disbarred. Kevin and his sister were adopted. Their father lost his legs in pearl harbor. So the govt took care of him handsomely. It was at that point when Kevin and Kevin jr moved to his parents, so kevin jr has a good upbringing. I briefly dated his sister. Real briefly and she had a boy the same age as Kevin jr., except this kid was a wreck. Kevin's sister was constantly on drugs. Not doing anything with her life. Her and Amy were like best friends though. So even after Kevin and Amy got divorced, Amy was coming over to their house, the house where Kevin lived. So even after the divorce, they were still compatible platonically. So kevin jr grew up ok. Kevins sisters boy ended up committing suicide at 20. The only real farher figure that kid ever had was grandpa, and he was obviously physically limited.

The ABA is even bolder where no video is allowed. The transcripts in felony cases is used in some cases to hide their crimes against due process. These altered records are forged documents, fake history. More evil than the crimes they conceal they also prevent meaningful appeal to the defendant already wronged. They are part of the smothering blanket of secrecy that makes consent to be governed impossible. We have instead an order imposed on us. He has to show that there was an agreement between the members of the alleged conspiracy in order to prevail against the public defenders. Public defenders aren’t ordinarily State actors when they are counsel to an indigent defendant in a criminal proceeding...but when they conspire against their client to work with State actors to secure a conviction they are State actors under section 1983. See _Tower v. Glover,_ 467 US 914 - Supreme Court 1984 {We conclude that state public defenders are not immune from liability under § 1983 for intentional misconduct, "under color of" state law, by virtue of alleged conspiratorial action with state officials that deprives their clients of federal rights.} -Tower v. Glover, 467 US 914 - Supreme Court 1984 So there is a possibility that he could prevail on a section 1983 claim. One issue is that he says that a federal judge or magistrate has found that there is no evidence of a conspiracy.

I have personally had this happen to me. My Public Defender, and later my Alternate Defense Counsel, tell me that my problem is that I can't afford a real attorney and that I get what pay for. They both also stated that they were not working on my defense, and that was not their job. This led to my being illegally detained for over 2 1/2 years without a trial and being forced to accept a plea deal under duress with the choice of either accepting their deal or sitting in jail for another 6-10 years without a trial, and if I did somehow manage to get a trial that the state would hand select the jury. I find it very disturbing that they (the government) don't seem to understand or care that people do not trust them, as well as the fact that they disgrace our Country by violating our God and constitutionally given rights.

Here in NYC you can't be arrested for a bench warrant if you're already inside of the courthouse because it indicates you're turning yourself in. Once I missed a court date and a detective called me "nicely" tried to get me to meet her outside of the courthouse to "turn myself in". She was late and so I went into the courthouse to the clerk who warned me that the detective was trying to arrest me and gave me a slip to sign assigning a courtroom to go to. After getting assigned a public defender the detective showed up at the court all angry trying to have me forced to leave the courtroom so she could arrest me. The officer of the court informed her that it was not legal to have me removed. With the help of a very awesome public defender I got an ACD for what was a complete B.S. charge of trespassing. It was for walking through the park of a project in Harlem because I had just moved to the neighborhood and rookie police suspected I was there purchasing drugs. I don't do drugs and there were no trespassing signs because it's a public space. Fun times with shady police and detectives.

Their unsaid assumption is everyone who comes to this court is already guilty and you are even worse of a criminal if you have the audacity to ask for a public defender. Her job was to make as much money for the courts. That made me feel so uncomfortable I went out and searched for my own attorney. Also, when called for jury duty, I saw a few of my fellow city employees in the same group. During the daytime you can often find police cars with an officer holding a radar gun outside the window in the middle of those intersections parked directly under those traffic lights!!!! In the video, it is clear that this was done maliciously because everyone was laughing about what they did to him, including the judge. I will repeat this. According to another video on RU-vid, Sanchez showed up outside the courtroom door PRIOR TO 9 am. The courtroom was packed and there was no room to wait inside. Like Steve, they should also be concerned about how others outside the profession view the field because impressions are important parts of a person’s psyche and often hard to change. Lawyers get bad raps because of actions like this (among others). It is up to good lawyers to point out bad actors like this and show that it is unacceptable to do business like that. Same goes for other professions, like good cops calling out bad cops, good doctors calling out bad doctors, good mechanics calling out bad mechanics, etc. Steve believes in justice and the rule of law as well as doing right by his clients because it’s the right thing to do. The public defenders I’ve had the pleasure and pain to work with have seemed to all be quite principled and vocal advocates for their clients; while they are worked quite well and have to keep a lot of cases running they all seemed to be into it for the right reasons. Most judges that I know will typically see a case upon a return upon a bench warrant and either release on the original bail, modify bail, or remand the person to custody; the fact that he was taken into custody on the warrant in the court and the court didn’t simply vacate the warrant to hear the case is also quite disappointing.

The next day we showed up in court, and watched the prosecutor try to convince the judge that she should be held over without bail and her kids taken by DCFS. I have to say I was impressed by how the public defender handled the case: this attorney instantly countered everything the prosecutor came up with and had the judge nodding in agreement. I “won” an ethics complaint against an attorney who failed to file a brief in a case I retained him for. That victory, like most involving lawyers or judges and ordinary citizens, was pyrrhic. The result was dismissal of my case for failure to file that brief. The attorney got a private reprimand. I lost property and any chance of ever recovering because dismissal ensured my case would never be heard. It was a tactic to make a valid claim go away. A lot like settling because it will cost less than defending a nuisance suit. I can only speculate, give months of delays by defendant and then my attorney’s ultimate failure to file, that my attorney and opposing counsel worked out a deal between themselves and my attorney was actually sympathetic, if not working for, opposing counsel.

I could not afford a lawyer. The one provided me just told me they'd be fucking me at trial. What could I do? This behavior of public defenders does not come at any surprise to me. Public defenders are how the state appears to keep the constitutional rights of the accused while not actually honoring those rights. There are no rights, only privileges granted or denied by government.

While his case doesn't appear to need any more bolstering, just the further confirmation of the totality of his truth just makes that which happened to him all the more damning. Probably, these two lawyers should be disbarred. I cannot imagine a context where these actions would be ok, but maybe they can. If I was the judge, however, I definitely would have scolded the lawyers for not at least allowing their client the time everyone agreed he should have. I would have put their case at the bottom of the docket to give their client more time. There is absolutely no justification for expecting the client to arrive before his court date or for advocating legal action against their client at all. Unless each of them can reliably demonstrate prescience, the client's actual tardiness is irrelevant; they had no way to know whether he would be late TODAY and their presumption of guilt is contrary to our justice system. The bar should not allow offenses this egregious to stand even once.

The problem with putting their case at the bottom of the docket, while it does allow the client more time, it still allows those public defenders to act as defense, when you already know that they have worked against the clients best interest. Then you get prosecutors and his own attorneys sitting together and talking about getting a warrant on him and locking him up to try and put pressure on him to plead guilty and get off of the case. There should be three attorneys in a cell and disbarred. Oh, and the BIGGEST problem, that lawyer that sat there silent later is now working for the Utah AG office as a civil rights attorney.
