​@AnnA-jd4xm I'm not sure about alot of other places. But alot of our big box stores (including home depot) have self check out (for yes even big items) with a garbage can every few check outs. It's also optional to even print your receipt these days. But yes he could have fixed the situation still instantly by 1. Showing where he cashed out 2. Getting them to review camera footage 3. Go grab the receipt you threw out. 5 min ago its still at the top of the bin

@elizabethsmith3374 yes that's how I would have tackled this situation. I don't like receipts either, for smaller things they get thrown out. For bigger ill keep em but the second anyone says something about theft to me I'd tell them to bring up their cameras

Naw New York & New Jersey are another level though especially compare here to California and when I watch those tv shows where they ticket even tow folks in those two states which people get all crazy wild with it meanwhile here in California people get ticket or towed they get pissed angerily pay their ticket then get the hell over it...

Idk I think it depends on where in NY, I e always said that NYC isn't as bad as everyone makes it but come to Rochester NY and boy let me tell you everyone there is angry for no reason all the time not to mention since 1932 that I know of so far Rochester has " birthed" 6 serial killers and 1 suspect ( this town is not that big) the one suspect is from 1932 and many people think he could possibly be " Jack the Ripper" , 3 of the 6 serial killers went in to other states to do the most heinous of crimes , Rochester has a really bad history and I think all that negative energy is still there and flows through the waters that surrounds it , so much bad comes from Rochester NY it's not even funny , I thought it was so bad that I moved damn near cross country to Las Vegas NV now 😂

Yea, I don't really think it's a freak-out on either party because even if he might be trying to just get free food he isn't yelling or being too aggressive. He just sounds annoyed to me

I had a mom ask me to put the fries for her sons happy meal in a nuggets box which I did, but was given my break while running her food so I told my coworker and how I was just waiting for the moms salad. This guy opened the happymeal and saw two nugget boxes assumed I messed up or was trying to give free food, took out a box, used it for another happymeal, and gave out the food. Next thing I know, I'm hearing a kid screaming and crying, and a dad yelling about getting fries instead of nuggets. My boss grabbed me and told me to explain why I messed up. It turns out my coworker threw me under the bus. Thankfully, the mom vouched for me and even showed the manager the special request note and how I hand wrote the reminder on the receipt that was on the tray. Sadly, I missed ten minutes of my lunch. But that cowoker got his hours cut and was put on night shifts. (Also, kid wasn't spoiled he was on the spectrum. He perfered the boxes because, according to him, it was more clean that way.) We've also had kids request only the bun. And yes for customers we like we do give the ingredients like onions, ketchup or lettuce

This lady one time called and complained to the corporate of the restaurant I work at, because she got too much lettuce on her sandwich. It didn't go well for her.

Except that you wouldn’t throw that down the “chute” to be picked up and bagged or boxed. The weight and the feel of the box wouldn’t be right so anyone bagging or boxing would KNOW there was something up with the nugget box. Third it’s a kids meal I’m sure he didn’t order a side of onions for a child 🤦🏻‍♀️ one of the employees was being an ass. There’s always someone who “worked at” or “works at” (insert fast food place) who wants to defend how something could have happened when common sense and work experience in that place would make these explanations and defenses bs.

I am so sorry if my mother was ever someone you had to attend to or whatever because I heard her screaming at some lady because the order was off by $2.50, and we weren't really poor either we weren't gonna starve if we didn't have those $2 or anything. But she was yelling at her for over an hour and at one point she was crying and had to give the phone to someone else who finally told my mom to stfu, and I was so happy for that guy and I really hope he didn't lose his job. But anyways, keep up the great work that you're doing at your job. I really appreciate you doing it,

Worst is when your coworkers throw you under the bus. But I definitely felt the worst being a teenager working at McDonald's because moms would look at me and tell their kids "see that's what happens when you don't go to school" like lady I'm still in school I'm here because I want a new phone.

@@Bisexualdragon4042I’ve worked at my job for years and we had a new hire trainee who when you were telling customers no or following policy would come over and just say “oh maybe we can just do it” or start telling customers “”yes” EVEN AFTER OUR MANAGER TOLD THE CUSTOMER NO. And then that would just escalate the situation and lead to the customers yelling at us because “well SHE is willing to help! I don’t want you I want her” ma’am she doesn’t know what she is doing and she CANNOT just give you 100% off (was literally one of the things she promised once)
