I'm sure you're right. I was calling out the name brand.

I really don't know what the percentages are but note that there are a lot of extra employees at these grand openings and people like me who will probably visit once, or maybe twice. Still, I think the largest number (most) are locals shopping at a store they will call home. Publix stores do very well for the most part. I have been to a handful of stores that have been slow but there could be understandable reasons for that like time of day, day of week, competition, etc..

It's interesting. This looks to me like more of a refresh inside than a completely new building. Unfortunately I was too busy to monitor the construction project.

@@OrlandoStreets IT is a completely new building, the old one was leveled and this was built in its place roughly 54-55k sqft

@@OrlandoStreets not really an old layout its just that size and configuration they have if that makes sense. They have a few various sizes

I think their latest configuration makes more sense, especially the deli island w/queue and bakery in the back corner - but that layout would have required rerouting utilities underground which is why I was questioning how far they went with their reconstruction.

A couple years ago Publix announced they would be adding 40k new jobs with the expansion.
