There appears to be a mystery around the town of Puerto Armuelles. Some say it's very dangerous, others say there is nothing to see, some say there is great finishing so we decided to see for ourselves.
Thank you for your videos about Puerto Armuelles, and for helping people to understand what a great little beach town it really is. We live in the expat community of Cucuy, just 15 minutes before Puerto. We love the ocean, surfing, swimming, beachcombing. It is heaven on Earth.
Love your videos. So informative concerning areas that are outside the now popular ex-pat spots and known vacation areas. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you again for such insightful and careful productions. Just wonderful!
You are right that why I was looking forward to your next video and searching for others. there seems to be an echo chamber surrounding panama so thank you for posting something fresh because I definitely want to avoid the insanity of a big city or a resort community as modern as they can be. More over the cost of those makes me think i should stay in the US along the Gulf coast and not learn Spanish. So thank you
Hopefully I'll be able to relocate and retire somewhere there, quite possibly to that community sometime in December. That place or another even smaller community.
Am leaving for Panama in January and going to Boquete and other areas of interest. Would be nice to travel with someone or a couple who have been to Panama and have some knowledge and experience in the country. Can't wait to experience Panama .
Thank you for your comments. I been looking at google maps and found a lot of pictures. I believe some big things are going to happen in puerto armuelles with the new hopital ,repair of the pier and airport, fiberoptic internet and lack of beaches communities to the west of chiriqui. I would like to hear more about the climate especially the humidity (ie heat index)
You are right one should make a decision from one video or a postcard so I hope you post another video show the panama style living and housing soon. Thank you
Thank you for making this video showing the realities of Puerto armuelles instead of the "blue sky" pictures that many profiteers show. Although It's devastating to me after four month of planning to move there it would have been a life-ending disaster to discover once there so thank for your honesty. I think I will pass.
Thank you for your reply 12 hours ago I'm completely surprised to get it also I'm totally delighted to hear that there are areas of newer houses and that you will be doing future videos because. PA is on ocean and as of now less expensive than other places. in Panama that I know of but I am concerned about the infrastructure such as consistent electricity clean water and high-speed internet for my online business. I understand they are bringing fiber optic cable into the area and they're creating a high-end gated community and recently completed a hundred million Hospital new baseball stadium and beginning the repair of the old pier hoping to bring more shipping to the area all of which should increase expat immigration and higher standards of living to the entire entire area. Thank you for your work and your reply
@@physicanstransitionteam1599 we have lived in the expat community just outside of Puerto Armuelles for 6 years, in Cucuy. The homes here are beautiful, and the ocean is clean, swimmable and surfable. Fiber optic is being laid in the barrio just before ours, and may be here soon. Our modern oceanfront home is for sale, if you are still looking. Puerto has a very promising future.
@@freedom55adventure we would love that. Do you charge for this? We've had professional photos and drone shots done, but your channel seems to be getting some attention, so that would be nice.
@@freedom55adventure Hi. We will be on the Panama Relocation Tour Feb 3 through 10. We then are going to Bocas for 4 days, returning to Boquete for 3 more, then we still have another week that really isnt scheduled at this time.
I’m sure there is opportunity. The government has announced many upgrades to the town, including the repair of the air strip. This would bring visitors and revenue. We are not golfers and therefore I would not be able to give a correct answer.
are there any houses that are newer than a hundred years old and that are not dilapidated . It still looks like an abandoned ghost town with a few biped with or without feathers wandering around are they just extras cast for the film. I have been planning for over three month to move there until I saw this which looks like Appalachia by the sea or the"war zone" part in Jackson Mississippi. God it's awful even without crime. Talk about down sizing from subsidized housing to shacks. pPlease show us a better part of the town
Hi. Yes there are other areas, but this video was mainly about the start of the town and it was getting lengthy. We will be showing more of the newer developments soon. We strongly suggest that you visit the town in person before committing to anything to get the true feel for this town. Stay tuned and thank you for your comment.
There sure are newer homes! People, like us, are building new homes beachfront or nearby, in the areas east of town and south of the main Avenida de Las Arenas. We are in the El Palmar Sur barrio and have a new beachfront home under construction in Corazon de Oro, next to Pez de Oro, which is east of Carmen. These are neighborhoods which were not developed by Chiquita Banana, but rather, are native Panamanian neighborhoods where people, like us, built new homes where we could live a blended life with Panamanians. In addition to our neighborhood in Corazon de Oro, other new & newer homes have been built in Corazon de Jesus, Coronado, Surfside, and El Cucuy (running east from Pez de Oro, towards the far east end of Puerto Armuelles).
